Great video 🤓!!! I bought a 2023 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 with PDK in Colorado, USA last February. The color is Gentian Blue metallic with a black/chalk all-leather interior and silver wheel rims. It's definitely an entertaining driver's car!
So far, I've only done 326 miles but hopefully a lot more this next summer! The PDK is also a lot of fun (it's definitely quick) 🤓

Had both the base 718 (2019) and the 718 4.0. Not much of a difference except for speed. I respectfully disagree, the interior is sublime and not dated - of course looks are a personal preference. Ditched the 4.0 due to the infamous (at least for some, not sure if it continues in later cars) ticking noise. Loud outside while idling, heard inside the cabin while idling at stops and when accelerating up to 50mph. It may be normal but it took away from the overall experience. Bought a 2007 997.1 Turbo with 5,000 miles and no ticking.
Some people can live with obnoxious sounds I just couldn’t, apart from that it was a great car.
How did you like the 2.5l turbo?
So you got rid of a 718 4.0 and bought a 16 year old 997 because of a ticking noise?

The ticking noise is still a thing, I have a 2021 GTS 4.0. It's the only thing I hate about the car. You can hear it right at the start of this video. Surprised it isn't mentioned in more reviews by journalists etc

Seats are so called "race-tex" material which is actually vinyl. Same as Toyota's "soft-tex" vinyl seats.
Porsche's material savings cost for seats is circa 72% over actual leather. This to me is a deal breaker, vinyl seats truly laughable !
Is the quality of the race tex bad? Does it hold up? If it does over time then I dont have much bad to say about it

0 to 60 is not under 4 seconds it is 4.5 seconds
In the manual yes but PDK which this car has is 4 sec and many has gotten it to below that from what I have heard

In life you see what you want to see, whilst you see an unrealistic colour, I see a Cayman 718 GTS 4.0 a fantastic machine. State of mind must be positive even if you notice the colour you can thank him for the content as he may be new to content creation. We all need to be aware of the power of the spoken words!

There is zero feedback from the steering after 160 kmh. No steering control at all. Very dangerous. Not good porsche

How would you know that ?
I think you have to check your 718: steering is perfect, specially when you drive fast: I bought my GTS 4.0 more than one year ago and I used it also in tracks: perfect ! Check tires and use the gas to turn.
