My 375 H&H recoils harder than other rifles I own but I can stay focused easily and move on with my next shot; pretty much a moot point since I probably won’t ever hunt anything in the Dangerous Game category…

Yeah, store-bought ammo is pretty expensive, but you can reload is VERY reasonably.
All new production model 70 are made to pre 64 specs
You talk the the new Model 70’s (of which yours is one) are somehow not as good as the pre-64. Own both. Will take the latest production any day over the old.

Probably kill it. Considering that bullet is only going in the vicinity of 2150fps the whole “vaporize” it represents a total lack of understanding terminal ballistics.

Since the nuclear accident, our trash pandas have gotten bigger. So we all use 458 Win Mag or 50 BMG cases necked down to 458 for dealing with them. Gotta watch your backstop though. Someone had an ND and took out an entire shopping mall.
