I am so glad you picked Polly! She is beautiful and full of life. I just put my Tortie to sleep yesterday. I am so sad. Like Polly, she was the life of the house. Polly looks so much like her. She also loved cheese. We think she was 18 or 19 years old. I had her for 2 years. The house is so quiet without her even though I have another kitty. I miss her so.😢

@@dancerrr610She’s the absolute best Sarah! I was just showing my partner Polly’s video. And he said straight away, ‘Polly talks like Rocket’, and she definitely does. Rocket is out little tripod girl. We adopted her in June last year. Her and Olly are flying around the house atm, with eyes as big as dinner plates. They do it around this time most evenings 🤣. I just love that little noise (a squeak is the best way I can describe it) Polly makes when she’s purring super hard. I hope there are heaps of people who saw your video, that will go to their local shelter, and meet a senior pet.❤🇦🇺

I love female tortoises. They have so much attitude.
So often a “mean cat” needs medical care. Dental problems are the usual culprit, but arthritis is up there. Also, cats who are withdrawn or fight at a shelter often calm down and get happy when they realize they’re in a safe home and won’t have to face that again.
Please don’t let temporary conditions stop you giving a forever home to someone who’s less likely than other cats to get that chance at life and happiness.

Taking in an older cat is great. After losing our 21 year old, we took in an 18 year old and she is doing great. Lizzie will be 20 in a few months and we are happy to give her a happy home.
