- Little Sirius Cove. A view painted by one Australia's greatest artists: Arthur Streeton; I just hope I do it justice.

Glad you enjoyed the painting Heather, glad you took something away from it.
Thank you for sharing! Excellent painting!!!
Glad you enjoyed Laura.
Very good simplification demo! So much the viewer will naturally put in themselves so the artist doesn’t have to show everything.
Thanks Sherrie, glad you enjoyed.

لمساتك تسحرني شكرا انت اكثر فنان اتمتع بمشاهدة لمساته
A lovely demo Colley. It's always good to hear an artist explain their reasoning regarding choice of process and practice while in the moment. Many thanks - happy painting & best wishes 🙏
Glad you enjoyed.
You’re one of my favorite painters and I’m so happy to see you putting some videos on CZcams! You have inspired me to give pthalo green another try, I’ve struggled w it in the past but love your variety of greens and the pop you so beautifully get with it. Do you mostly just use the lean medium (not odorless mineral spirits ?) Wiping brush while painting? Looking forward to more videos!
Yes, Lean medium is my favourite way to work. I only use an odourless Solvent at the end of my day. With Pthalo green, be sure to use a touch of red, it calms the green down. Thanks for watching.
Eu sigo dezenas de artistas mundo a fora pintando ao ar livre muito bom
I just discovered your You Tube videos. I'm excited to see them all. Love your work, it helps my painting as well.
Polly

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏
interesting and informative .painting shalow water and rock tones is still a problem for me
have you every painted out on the Capertee Valley?
Yes I have, but not for many years-it’s a pretty spectacular area.
And with your rocks, make sure you’re getting an accurate light to dark value first, then your colour temperature.
Thanks for watching.
Thankyou Colley, that was great to watch. I should try a boat scene in Queensland on the Gold Coast. What is the name of the Lean. Medium you. Mentioned please
Thanks Jenny. Archival Oils: Odourless, Lean Medium.
Brand new to your site. You are very good. Perhaps in the future if you could get a closer shot of the painting, that would be great. Thank you.
Thanks Dennis. We’re planning to do a few more plein air paintings in future-we’ll definitely get a closer shot of the painting.
😃
What was the medium that you mentioned? Love your Paintings.
Archival Oil Odourless Lean Medium. Thanks Mark.
Eu estou me organizando para fazer meu primeiro vídeo pintando ao ar livre
Boa sorte 👍
Lovely demo, really clean colours. What medium do you use please?

Thank you so much.@@colleywhissonartist
Enojed this very much! What brushes and sizes are you using?
1. Chungking series 2025 Long Flat - Long Handle, Size 12
2. Hog Hair Size 6 approximately 1/4 inch wide.
3. Masters Choice Long Flat Series 279 Size 12 and Size 3 Long handle
4. Neef Synthetic Liner/Rigger size 2 just under 1’’ long bristle.
Hope that helps.
Thank you!
Thank you Colley! How long does a painting of this size take you, approximately?
Onsite, roughly just under two hours; I’d spend more time in the studio working on the piece.
Great little painting. What was the name of the medium you used?
Archival Oils, Fast Drying, Lean Medium.
Well what kind of medium you use for 30 years that would be nice to share?
I use Archival Oil Lean Medium.
The painting being so small in the screen is hard to see in detail
Sorry about that. We’ve got some studio paintings upcoming with the camera closer-hope you tune in.
Also if you’re watching on a Tablet or Smartphone, you can zoom in by pinching-hope that helps.
@@colleywhissonartist My technical limitations are part of the problem. I will be watching for the next videos. Thank you!
