Dr.Kreeft is really very good lecturer, clear, concise, amusing... and knowlegeable. I have to listen to the rest of his conferences.
I'll drink to that.
Let's do all we can to skip Purgatory and goal for Heaven!!! Let's go to confession weekly and receive Holy Communion daily. Practise the Virtues especially Charity, Humility, Holy Purity, and Piety.

We have all been created by God for a unique mission to serve and love God in this life so that we may be able to spend eternity with him in the eternal life. Yet, all of us have been given free will. We choose each day of our earthly pilgramage by what we choose to do, say and live to be growing in holiness (with heaven as our goal), Or to choose to live for this earthly world and reject the teachings of our Lord thus choosing hell. There but for the grace of God go I. We are all sinners and were it not for the Grace of God and help from the our Blessed Mother, the Angels and Saints I could have died in the state of mortal sin and likely would not have known or believed it at the time. Thank God for confession and all the sacrements and purgatory. If I am not talking to God in prayer, reading the scriptures, Utilizing our sacrements, and reading or listening to the Saints lives and proper teachings on our Catholic faith like Dr. Kreeft I would go to hell. The teachings I receive from my Chatechists, Priests and religous were completely inadequate in these times of secular Godlessness and Pagen world.
I consider Dr Kreeft, EWTN, and several others who are teaching me about the One true Church that Jesus created a Gift from God. Sadly so many of our Priests, Religous are no longer teaching the true teachings on our faith at a time where it is so desperately needed.
I don't know why we few managed to seek and find the truth today but for the Grace of God. And our Angels are a very important gift to help us all to be worthy of entering Heaven. For myself, and please pray for me that I may die in a state of grace, I thank God for purgatory and I am certain I shall have to spend alot of time there.
I pray for our church which seems to be headed towards ruins today. Our Lady of Fatima said that many Souls go to helo because no one is praying or doing penances for them.
I believe that we few remnants of the Lay Faithful must be doing that because We were chosen by God to live at this time of unfathomable Godlessness and evil.

Oh my goodness! Dr Paul, this is the first time I have heard you speak and I am so impressed by the very scope of your knowledge on this subject. What a gift you have. I only wish it was not so late, 1:25 a.m., because I am very tired and will have to listen to this again tomorrow when I am rested. LOL. thanks; yes indeed had often thought of the parallel between Angels and animals and other points about their roles, for years, this confirms that if i'm crazy, it's an enjoyable and productive gnosis of a craziness ;) i also do a lot of improvisation on the flute and frankly it's just mostly channeling angels whenever it's done on prime music.....so have some good first-hand experience. Aquinas's views check out. And i must say I'm more of a pantheist, fortunately All happens to be One so it's workable. loved listening to your analysis.

As to why an Angel would choose himself over God (1:06:10), it’s not necessarily because Lucifer didn’t want to play second fiddle to God, but rather that he didn’t want to be lower than a being he perceived to be FAR, FAR LOWER than himself in the hierarchy: humans, such as Jesus and Mary (in their earthly human forms). Compared to the abilities and intellect of angels, we’re a bit like earthworms, after all.
Fr. Ripperger explained this in one of his many lectures. He also said that the angels were shown Jesus and Mary and asked if they would serve them, and one-third said, “No!” Those were the angels who fell. For more on why he suggests this, listen to his talks about angels and demons.

Angels are a difficult topic-unless you have a direct experience, you are limited to what scripture and others have written about them.Ultimately good, but the fallen ones are infinitely bad. Be careful-we understand that even expressing and interest can open you up to demonic attack. Best not to think of them

At 1:18:56, a question was asked about whether one could / should send their Guardian Angel to help someone else’s Angel. I’d like to point out that sending your Angel away strips you of needed protection, guardianship, and spiritual direction. Not really the best idea. Fortunately, there is another way to help others: say the Rosary for them and/or pray novenas to Mary, other Saints, or heavenly Angels.
I could listen to Dr. Kreeft all day long.

KMF Theologians state that God assigns you another angel. No one is without a guardian. Hope that helps.

He said that the angels do not have any of the Passions except for in the beginning there was Pride. How could they not have any of the passions except for one and only in the beginning of their creation?
They don't have body so they don't sin the same way we do
Angels don't have a sexuality so can't feel lust.
@@michaeljamesdesign passion is not lust. It is another word for emotions. According to St Thomas Aquinas.
@@KMF3 You're mistaking the word passion as in he/she feels strongly about something. But the religious definition of a passion is something which leads to sin. The angels do not feel emotively like we do. They are in a state of constancy and cannot be swayed by passions of the body or mind. They are beyond temptation. But it doesn't stop them being passionate about their service to God.
@@michaeljamesdesign no look at St Thomas aquinas's use and understanding of the word passion in the summa. It is about emotion it's not about sin. Also when you're speaking about the angels you have to remember there are both good angels and fallen angels. Their will is fixed because they have made their choice. So in that sense the good Angels don't have any sense of temptation that Angels already succumbed to their temptation. And if you say that the good angels are passionate about their service to God but then you say the definition of passion is something which leads to send that just doesn't make any sense so you might want to clarify what you mean there

Certainly for God we are not like little pets and so it should be for angels.

I know we are unworthy of God's love but the facts is he loves us so much that He died in the cross to give us everlasting life and He wouldn't do that for pets!
Your correct my friend , In Gods heavenly family we are above Angels in the scence that our Lord puts us below him and above Angels ,this is why satan rebelled as he thought he was equal to the Lord and even better but this tells us one thing they never received the Beatific vision as if satan did he could not rebel against or Lord .
and as it is written in the bible, God said let us make man in "Our Image and Likeness".... also... I disagree with him but agree with St Thomas Aquinas that there are no animals in heaven....
I think the point was the Angels are far superior to us in terms of intellect and qualities so there is a chasm between us and the angels in that sense. We can all agree that we are loved creatures of God. So loved that God sent his son to the world to redeem us from sin by dying on the Cross.@@JRX0X0
