Here we see Mega Man destroy Dr. Wily's army yet again, only this time on the SNES. You would think poor old Wily would learn from his past 6 mistakes, however this isn't so.
This version plays on the Japanese version, Rockman 7. This change affects times outside of the player's control, but is still counted towards the movie's length.
Unlike our other run ( tasvideos.org/... ) for this game, this run collects all of Mega Man's upgrades. Part of this involves running into Protoman in two stages before fighting him for his shield. For more details, see the run's comments.

Of all my thousands of playthroughs of this game, this TAS taught me that Treble has a collision box. XD
This game introduced so much (characters, concepts, visuals), only for 8 onwards to just kind of do their own thing.
Huge shame. But hey, at least they aren't all bad.

@@davidthecommenter It's wild when a game has an insanely short develop time but manages to be really good. Like, I still think Majora's Mask is the best Zelda game ever, and it had only a year's dev time.
I love how the 100% run is only 4 minutes longer than the normal run
Any% which means reach the credits screen as fast as possible
I know. My point is that there's only 4 minutes more of collecting between any% and 100% in the TASes. It's funny how close to each other they are when most games' TASes have a stark contrast between any% and 100%

I find that fact to be one of my favorites with tas-es. Sometimes collecting just takes a few extra minutes
This TAS is so Flashy. Watching it murder Spring Man and Dishonor Him completely was outstanding

The user was playing the Japanese version. In the Western version, the title screen has a black background. In the Japanese version, it has a dark purple background. In Japan, Mega Man is referred to as Rockman, and each game in the Mega Man Classic series has a subtitle. In the case of Mega Man 7, it is 宿命の対決! (Shukumei no Taiketsu!), meaning “Showdown of Destiny!”. One thing the Japanese version has that the Western version lacks is Roll or Auto commenting in place of Dr. Light when Mega Man collects a Robot Master module. Another thing that the Japanese version has that the Western version has is a brief description of each Robot Master stage, e.g. “Freeze Man: Don’t Slip.”

I honestly love 7 so much, the art, animation and designs are some of my favorite while the OST absolutely slaps. Even putting Dr. Light explaining every power up in-depth which is completely unskippable and ANNOYING AS HELL aside it's definitely one of, if not my favorite in the series and a great step forward, especially considering it was on the SNES, which made it even more astonishing for me.
8 sticks out like a sore thumb, and while I love it as well, it's...well it sure is something.
The art is SO good that TASvideos uses Megaman's sliding sprite in its logo. "When human skills are just not enough."

Meh. X games are better because they have more movement and firing mechanics that adds more depth to the game.
I'd play this over X6 and X7 though that's for sure.

You can walljump off of Burst Man's walls. Not incredibly useful, but you can use it to evade some of his attacks
