- There were so many good bits in this episode I felt dirty cutting them out. Gotta keep FOX and CZcams happy though...
From Season 11 Episode 22 - Behind The Laughter - Krátké a kreslené filmy
“...And that horrible act of child abuse became one of our most beloved running gags.”
At least, the real life Homer realizes that's a terrible child abuse
And Yet, Peoples still called Homer a Bad Father. Is this Running Gags a Poor Excuse?
Not anymore
@@bellamovie2 But as far as I remember, he also mentioned it wasn't the best discipline strategy in Love Is A Many Strangled Thing.
To me, this episode is cannon. Always will be. Its just so funny.
Same
Yes! It's still one of my favorite episodes.
Couldn’t agree more. Such good satire
*canon
canon? wth that mean?
Best mock-umentary episode.
"Somehow Homer got addicted to pain killers."
"It was the only way he could do the bone-cracking physical comedy that made him a star."

Personally I consider this to be the series finale
Well it isn't.
Well, it isn't. Deal with it. Loads of great episodes were made after this one.
It is

Johnny Narrator: And □◇~£ he did.
1:43 Fox executives when they approved for another season of The Simpsons:
Oh wow! I finally learned today how this episode is a deconstructed parody of The Simpsons!
It's actually a parody of Behind The Music (a show that I used to love on VH1).
@@kenterminateddq5311 Based on the MC Hammer episode.
Then came the rocks.
Jagged rocks.
Hitting me with their jags.
Should’ve been the series finale
Wrong
You can't stop The Simpsons
@@koichidignitythief7429
it's definitely over when Dan Castellaneta dies
This episode is such a dead on parody of Behind The Music that I'm willing to believe it was written by the people at Behind The Music.
0:41 "Either (bleep) or get off the pot". Did Marge dropped the F bomb?
The caption is "either sh*t or get off the pot."

Me, I'm just getting HUGE whiplash to the little-known PS2 Technicolor fever dream we know as Poinie's Poin.
Was Home Improvement a Fox Network show? 😕 I thought it was Warner Bros? 😕
No, Home Improvement was an ABC show.
Yeah, The Simpsons talked a lot about shows on other networks. A lot of early references to Ren & Stimpy
Basically the later simpsons seasons ever.
1:23 That woman with a headphone looks exactly like Ruth Powers, Laura Powers, The Babysitter, Homer's High School Date and Allison Taylor. Also she's one of Eeyore's best friend.
1:09 We have heard that since the Tracy Olman shorts
Its amazing how one of the best episodes like Behind of the Laughters is part of one of the weakest seasons
The shows formula had been run into the ground so it makes sense something entirely different would work better. Like how even in weak seasons in the aughts the Halloween specials were still good.
I find it so odd that Series 11 is a bit naff, but Series 12 is great.
@@MrRyan-wu4jxTrilogy of Error was also a stand-out around this time.
Yeah and the Halloween specials worked because they're not canon so the characters could act more unlike themselves (which on regular episodes is off-putting, like the infamous time Homer shot Marge with a dart)
“Life begins at conception, man.”
Is it wrong that I want that, now?
This show should had ended 20 years ago with this episode and should had been going out with a bang as this in my view is the last great episode! after season 11, it became a completely different show that resembles Simpsons by surface but not inside, called Zombie Simpsons.
Zombie Simpsons is like much like a terminally ill, suffering, but beloved pet, it needs to be put out of its misery.
the last episode I watched chronologically that I remember enjoying was Treehouse of Horror XII
I have the exact same opinion, though I also think that people can just skim through any episodes they can find from Season 12 onwards without watching them chronologically. That’s what I usually do.
Some episodes I recommend after Season 11 include Trilogy of Error, Jaws Wired Shut, I Am Furious (Yellow), and Barting Over.
@Throwaway Account
Well it overstayed it's welcome and has became stale and repetitive like Family Guy and Spongebob.
It's better to pull a Regular Show, Bojack Horseman, King of the Hill, Futurama and more as at least those shows ended with dignity when they needed too and i'm happy for that and didn't become zombies.
@@Johnlindsey289 Ehh, Simpsons was already dead by the time we got to season 11, it was pretty bad, this episode was one of the better post season 10 one's.

When they get a goldfish?
They stole Milhouse's goldfish. Then Bart ate the poor bastard and claimed that Milhouse didn't own any fish.
@@ilikecurry2345Then why did he have the bowl? _Why_ did he have the _bowl_ ???
Let's just say, fame was like a drug, but what was even more like a drug were the drugs.
They should do a special like this about Diff'rent Strokes, and probably focus on Gary Coleman. He was the star, yet his greedy-ass parents yanked the rug out from under him.
I'll mace you good!
