This was sick by any chance can u do some more videos like this
I'm working on one about Jason Lawrence now but I did just put out a video covering the story behind RedBud and how Larocco's leap came to be if you'd like toncheck that out. It's a pretty cool story (in my opnion)
czcams.com/video/0y1I3oOtfxo/video.html
What a true warrior!
He just keeps coming back!
Austin is a good example of usually one of the fastest riders on the track. However being fast is only half of the game. The other half is not crashing. It comes down to who can go the fastest without crashing.
Very true
I think you found a good CZcams tutorial setup. You should do more of these even the old riders like Albee, Hugh’s, and Doug Henry. That was awesome video probably took awhile but that definitely worth it.
@quentinvoth1395 that's the plan! I have my next 2 picked out already. They're older than Austin but not as old school as what you're talking about. However I do plan on doing much more if it is successful.
It took me about a month to put this all together and it's definitely the most involved video I've ever made. I appreciate your feedback!
@@motofevermedia1 I just always watched those guys. One day I was conference and Albee was there. I chatted with him crazy back story and how he got here to win championships. This just made wonder about the others guys like Doug henry. Started older I believe definitely has heart breaking his back twice the first four stroke to win. I appreciate the content. Makes my work day go smoother. lol
@quentinvoth1395 yeah there is definitely some more good stories back there for sure. Glad you enjoy the content. We will keep it coming!
man this is one HELL of a story!!! i love this guy tho! im always always always pulling for him every every year
Hard not to at this point
This is the most depressing video I've ever watched about Austin, and I love Austin Forkner.
His story is pretty tough for sure
😮no wonder Ryan Hughes, opted to coach this phenomenal rider. Despite his numerous unfortunate injuries, his natural raw talent is still present every time he's on track... He can speed past folks whenever he chooses to. Austin Forkner, has the riding style we should all emulate!❤
Hard to say that when he crashes so much but he definitely has the speed and it would be awesome to see him put a full sx season together!
was front row for is Arlington crash this sx season. the sound of his head hitting the concrete was like a shotgun. austin is truly a dawg. hope he has a break out year
I can't imagine what that must have been like.
I was there too and I’ve never been so worried about if someone was going to get up.
@thebaker331 hard to believe he's already fully recovered from that crash
Thanks for sharing this amazing video of Austin’s life and he is a angel sent from above and he is a amazing person and I wish him the best always and for a very Speedy recovery and he is a True Legend #AustinForkner
@@timhyatt9374 the kind words are appreciated!
That’s incredible what a story, have enjoyed watching Austin thru his career and wish him all the best. Get better and would love to see you ride again if that is what you choose.
I think he will be back for 2025 supercross
Ive always really liked Forkner, it sucks that his whole pro career has been riddled with injuries. Was lookin good this year too and then he had that gnarly crash.. and now his brain surgery.. dude is a beast! Hope he returns and can sail smoothly into retirement down the road!
He's definitely had a rough one but it seems like he should catch a break at some point!
I hope his after riding career doesn't end up like Mike Healey. Knarly rider, Gunner was sort of similar and had a lot of knarly injuries. He just passed away, a tragedy but a cool guy to the fans. Pray for Austin is all you can do. Living with pain as you get older is HARD. I know all about it. Currently 5 different surgeries and counting on both legs. Sucks....
Wow! Thank you for preparing and sharing this. He's always been super fast, just hope he can keep it on two wheels when he lines back up again.
@frogbass12 history is against him but if he made it this far who knows what he's capable of!
the amount of titles he could of had would be amazing
@Ajamesschelble if he would've won in 2019 like he almost did, he would've been 450 for 4 seasons already 🤯
Kids an inspiration, all he’s went through and to still be pushing forward.
Definitely an inspiration
excellent production of this video. Excellent job!!
His story could easily be a feature film.
@@scottyboy7462 Thank you! I tried to make it easy to watch. I would agree that his story could be a full feature length film. Especially since there is still more to come!
Man this kid has endured so much. I’m a rider myself but watching some of his crashes still make me wince. Kid has talent in spades for absolute sure. Hopefully he can stay healthy and continue racing.
@@realmongolianhours6502 sounds like he's coming back for supercross next year
@@motofevermedia1 I’ve been fortunate enough to talk to the kid (I say kid but he’s like my age lol) once or twice and I have no idea why so many hated on him back in the day. Always such an unlucky guy if he can figure the crashing out and get some top 5s this next season I think it’ll be good for him. To extend on that I hope he isn’t racing for his job and that Mitch or someone has extended him an offer with a good psychologist who can tell him. Let’s go for top 5s this season. Your job is secure. Let’s take off some of the pressure and let’s do this.
@@realmongolianhours6502 agreed
Unfortunately I've seen so many of his devastating crashes up close and in-person. The dude is a fighter though and always gets back up. Hope he can return at 100% for 2025.
I have a good feeling about 25
Wow 👌 Great video, never heard of Austin but what a tough dude. I've been riding all kinds of bikes for 40 years and had some really nasty injuries. Folks this is what racing on the edge looks like 👍
@ShaneVerhoogt glad you can appreciate his story. It's definitely an inspiring one! There's some other gnarly stories out there but nothing quite like his.
Hey ; This is a hell of a story and there are a lot of them out there that didn't get as far as he did. Your doing this is great to honor him. He has gone through hell to try and live his dream. You might follow up and tell every one where he is and how he is doing. Great work :: S
@sonnyl5903 as of right now he's still recovering from the brain surgery and plans to return to racing in 2025
This guy is an absolute savage. Im a forever fan. His speed is insane. Cant wait for him to b back on the box wer he belongs....
@@Michael-qv4et agreed
I knew that Austin had a lot of crashes and injuries, but I had no idea! That last one was really bad. I remember watching that. Man, I can hardly believe that he would ever get on a bike again after that. More power to him!
@tobywoodard7 yeah it's hard to put in perspective how much he's been through without putting it all together. Sounds like he will be back in 25 so we will see how that goes!
Respect my brother.ive watched u through the yrs.all i can say is just RESPECT.

Hell of great story ❤Family accomplishments I always pulled for him since day one proud of him
It's definitely oen for the books. Feels like they could make a movie about it honestly.
@@motofevermedia1 true
I wish they'd let him keep is 24 number. He changes numbers every year.
Loved this guy since amateur's!
Yeah he has yet to earn a career number since he hasn't ever really finished his season.
@@motofevermedia1 I say the old numbering system was better. The numbers usually changed ever year, but from 1-99, you got the number by how you finished the series last year. A 2 and one digit number was something that was earned every year, and even if a fan had never seen a race before, he/she would know that a low number who got a bad start is worth watching come up the pack. IMO, they took away something that a rider earned. A good Damon Bradshaw line with the old numbering system, when he was #11. "I am going to lose one of these digits next year. It does not matter which one." :)
@EarthSurferUSA they are still earned numbers if you're top 10 in combined 250/450 points you can earn a career number. Everyone else who didn't earn or doesn't have a career number gets assigned numbers for the rest of the 2 digit numbers. So Tom Vialle was the first person outside the top 10 the season so he was assigned 16then Norren with 22 Harlan wit 23 and so on
He's gonna come back and dominate. I cannot wait. He reminds me of Trey canard.
Definitely a lot of injuries like Trey but at least Trey came in and won his 250 titles right away
To keep coming back injury after injury is so hard, motocross is so hard on the body iv'e done my collar bone 4 times right shoulder separated 2 times and dislocated right shoulder twice and right Mcl Acl once right femur 4 breaks on a practice day jumped of bike mid air and knee brace put load into femur major damage and socket snapped of into the pelvis as well and then snapped the pin 3 months later in the femur so had to have another big operation 6 hours and 3 years of hard work getting leg and muscle back and bought a new Honda 450 but still too weak so ebike from Specialized then covid came along and lung infection took 6 months of mountain biking on my Specialized ebike to get back to hitting my peak heart rates just going out now in a minute. Dropped a kidney stone at Christmas that was fun. Infection in inner ear so balance was affected. It doesn't rain but it pours so Austin keep it going.
Quite a list you have there! Glad you're okay!
@@motofevermedia1 There's more, right ankle both big toes broke as left my boots in another van and had to used my mate size 9/10 but take 11 and the hard ground on a crash landed on my feet and broke both toes the Doctor couldn't figure how I had done it. Broke lower fibula and had it put in a cast so on the friday of a championship I cut the cast off and raced just tightend my Tech 8 boots up tight and bit sore but held together Droctor wasn't pleased as had a new cast put on.
Great video 👌
Much appreciated
Great video on how tuff Austin Forkner is!!!
Thanks!
Like a Boxer who gets hit in the face a lot, but won't go down.
I've watched Austin for years no doubt he's fast. And so badly want to see him clean house!
Maybe the 9th try will be the one
Shanesterrr!🦾
@@urnew haha glad you liked it
6.22.24 Do a life story on Chase Sexton
Ironically his story is mixed in with Austin's quite a bit.
he deserves a championship
@@DBIKESFORLIFE I agree
He’s a great rider and person
I think if austin hadnt have had his long list of crashes and injuries, he would be up with the lawrences in terms of speed and skill.
@@fudidle definitely an argument you can make for that
Not only did Austin have that plethora of injuries in Arlington but he also suffered a concussion as well and that has been told by a couple of Mx channels
@GT5-Gaming195 yeah 100%
21 should have been his 450 rookie year. He could have better luck with the 450 but the fans don't get to find out. The 250 class will always have rookies to keep the class interesting. Rather see the best against the best.
WOW. Lucky to be alive
Honestly
It’s very interesting and also very sad. This just shows what I’ve said so often is luck plays a part in all sports. Austin messed up on suspension and it cost him big. Most of this was suspension issues. He needs to have Honda set up his suspension no matter what he rides. He also never learned how to fall always going over the bars which is always deadly. You have to be able to think quick as you see the other pros do to have a career. 4 broken collar bones is a huge warning. He has been hurt to bad and to many doctors bills to even mess with the sport anymore. He needs to get a job and salvage what’s left of his life due to concussions. I know because I’ve had 5 concussions and now I have serious issues with balance, dizziness all the time, depression and anxiety. Life sucks because I’m never comfortable. That’s where he is headed in the next 10 years. Sad but true and what makes it even worse is he is already in debt so to make that money he has to ride beyond his means which will only cause another bad accident and the next head injury will probably be fatal.wHe needs to do the right thing and think of his family and his life and just live a normal life. If motocross was meant to be it would have already happened. Someone needs to wake this guy up so he can live his life
One big problem is with pro riders, is when they retire, they don't know how to do anything else for money (seems bad today). The retire with the education of a HS drop out, like Ping. They can get a productive college degree while racing, and your mid gets stronger when you exercise it too. I did it myself. But they don't care.
Supermini is still mini tires. 125 2 stroke or a 150 4 stroke with big wheels are the first time they ride on full size tires. Austin in Charlotte GP was good against Webb and herlings.
@@user-wu8db2qj3v this is true

Should've left out the 'incredible story' tagline and just called it Austin Faulkner
It's the over hype on everything that people are sick of
Love watching him race
Hope he has a lot of success in the future
@13thJ appreciate the feedback!
He looked so good last season before the wreck. He was killing the field.
Yeah I really believed it was his year especially after working with Ryan.
I wish I had had a farm to go riding everyday after school, I gave up because I could only ride once a week.
Understandable
You can make our sport great by doing a Kenny and Austin combined with the luck of Jett ,should be on a netflix seriously ,the sport is suffereing from greedy controllers
@craighills2382 not sure what you mean 🤔
Poor dude his monster girl is showing him relief
@itsjordan973 not sure what that's supposed to mean 🫠
When he finally wins a title or even gets close like down to a couple pts, i swear im gonna feel like wieght is off MY shoulders even lmao!😂
Honestly!!!
Has forkner ever won a championship any?? Outdoor or supercross??
Nope!
Feels like he should have by now but no he hasn't. He's never really been close in Motocross and he has gotten hurt every time he's been close in supercross.
Austin had Jett speed and could beat him... That was a dirty move by Jett. What goes around comes around.
Curious what could've been if Austin stayed healthy
He's had one seriously rough go, most would've hung up the boots and gone back to the farm.
@@Reubambam247 that's for sure!
If he does come back,it should be on a 450,it would suck if he got injured again in 250 and never even make to the 450.
@rodneyrichardson8286 sadly there's not really any room in 450 for him until maybe 2026 then he could possibly take Andersons slot or switch teams but there is almost no factory slots open unless he did something wild like going to Triumph or Ducati
thats one tough customer
Can't say he isn't tough, that's for sure!
At this rate, he's broken, I wanna say almost every bone in his body. How in the actual fuck is he still doing this??? Dude he gets injured almost every season he's in. How does he keep going??? I understand his frustration now in Arlington with Jett when he broke his collarbone. He was probably like, "Fucking again!?"
I'm not sure how he keeps going. I think his ACL right out of the gate in 2023 was even more frustrating
Slightly shot?? 3 feet short is a better distance
Well I hear you but he did get his front wheel over it. I guess it just depends what you consider slightly.
Look at chase than Austin. Shows a lot tho
Crazy to see where Austin was in 2019 compared to Chase and now look at them.
I think it’s time for a career change for Austin. His body has been mangled.
@@slalomking he seems to be coming back for more
I would sue feld for not providing a safe space around the track. As much money as Crooked Davey brings in... He went on gypsy and lied lied lied. Bring back the Glen. Lets go AF
Davey doesn't work for Feld but I hear ya
Lots of recreation activity has been close down because of law suits. It is better we use our own brains, and take personal responsibility for our actions,---like an adult.
I am with you on Coombs though. The guy is actually following the philosophies of communism, with the FIM leading him by the nose. When you want to control every dollar that goes theough a track, like vendors and t-shoirt makers,--you are a freaking modern day commie. He is not smart enough to know it.
So fast, and so fragile. IMO, he should have dropped SX, and he would probably have an outdoor title or two. He got hurt some outdoors too, but the kid has never finished a year with out a injury, and usually in SX. I thought he would be better with Hughes.
I do think Ryno made a difference. His arlington crash seemed more like a fluke. I hear ya though
Example of how dumb it is to only move up after a championship. 2 years in a row he was going undefeated in sx before getting injured and sexton would get the championships and move up. We need these guys in the premier class so it's not just a 2 or 3 man race. If he wasn't on the PC team he would have had a 450 ride before now.
He rides over his head and that's why he crashes so much.
Definitely one explanation
Just like a lot of other riders in the sport. These riders need to remember that old saying "Technique before speed"
@@curtiswood110 seemed like he was finally working that out with Ryno this year
The bank account got to be drained..
@gumbs2537 hope not but it's hard to say how much he's paying out of pocket for medical
Veru lucky man he is with god every second and that’s why he is becoming a certified dog
@@EastonMerren hopefully he can come back next year
Austin needs to retire while he still can. Unfortunately, he's one of the many talented guys who will retire without a championship.
@@OtisFlint definitely trending that way but it feels like he still has a chance
The story is he’s been hurt more then he’s raced lol
@mcnulty6167 I'm pretty sure this is literally true sadly
Poor guy. Always getting hurt
@@MamaBlueDH that's for sure
He kind of another Canard or A.C. Story, really set back by injury over and over again, Hate seeing it
Canard and AC definitely have their own story but the similarities are pretty striking. With Canard it felt like he got to reach his potential a little bit more than AC or Forkner has though. He definitely still missed out on a lot and his injuries were crazy but AC seemed like he should've been dominant and we never got to see that. Same could be said for Forkner.
Anyone gets hurt as much as this guy needs to get outta the sport for he ends up in a chair. He has zero luck or bad falling skills. Something is an off with him.
I don't think most people would have been able to walk away from his Arlington crash like he did
I was never a fan of forkner
I Understand if people aren't, just showing all he's been through
Austin's taking foolish risks with his long-term health. It's not worth it.
Seems like he thinks it's worth it
@@motofevermedia1 He can't seem to keep the bike on 2 wheels. He's had countless surgeries from various injuries, and I just think he's being incredibly myopic and doesn't understand how this will affect his quality of life after motocross. Because there will be a life after motocross.
@@bengolfs1 I don't think most racers think much about life after motocross until the last few years of their career
@@motofevermedia1 You're right. I am a long-time fan and remember the tragic accidents that happened to some of the great riders--like Danny "Magoo" Chandler, and David Bailey, and Donnie Hansen, riders that were much more accomplished and skilled than Austin Forkner. I mean, what are the chances that Forkner will ever rise to the top again? Motocross is a cruel sport sometimes. All it takes is one big crash and your career is over. I just hope Austin doesn't get seriously hurt again if he decides to continue.
