In 2002-2004 RC got in great shape and looked like an athlete
Say (like) again, bud.
- Letterkeny.
You are so fucking 5' 11"!
Deegan and Joe are not that thick and both seem to get faster and stronger with 5 minutes to go . They should have a 125 2 stroke class and televise it so everyone has more time between motos and me as a greedy fan gets to watch more motos
I would enjoy more episodes like this. You don't often hear riders talk about meal preps before and after the race, calorie/water intake, cooling down their bodies preparing for the next moto and how to mentally focus on races.
When I used to watch rc racing outdoors a few things stuck out, belief in himself and his ability to carry speed while using less energy and in his interviews he just went hard from the gate for 10 mins then coasted for the win because he broke everyone else !
I believe healty keto is one of the best diets for moto. Lots of energy in small mass.
There are other factors to consider too , I think Jett rides smooth and conserves a lot of energy , and then the mental side , some people naturally have a higher tolerance for pain , some people are mentally stronger and don’t get discouraged as easy , Dungey never gave up and was always there …
This might be a stupid question but is it against the rules to have an IV between motos to get fluids into the body?
I actually feel like I read that in the rule book somewhere. I maybe wrong but I think some riders were doing that in the early 2000s but they banned it
From the AMA rule book on page 375.
(3) Intravenous (IV)
(a) Any use of IV hydration, whether for medical
reasons or performance reasons, will disqualify
the rider from competition for 24 hours.
@@travharrell1713 knew I read it somewhere
@@travharrell1713 thank you that’s what I figured.
There's a guy in desert racing who is at least 50lb overweight, but he rips.
Novak Djokovic had a huge change in his career through diet change, you never know where that extra 2% can be found sometimes.
There's a huge talent component in MX that is difficult to factor into the fitness equation. If you're a sprinter, yes there's some technique, but nothing close to MX.
No one has quite figured it out. One thing to consider, is that "practice" in MX is all in. Other sports can toss a ball or whatever. We're all in. This means the other training you do should be closer to zone two.
The old days of Bailey and Johnny O, were often too much, too often. Jeremy was incredibly talented, but he trained, but someone like Larocco had to train harder.
I guess I would kick butt in outdoors then. I have a large fat excess.
Westin Pike was a UNIT
1:54 when austin says some dudes have dad bods and says there fit and strong, what people dont consider is its not all about muscle, some people have amazing tendon strength which plays a huge role in overall strength and you cant tell if someone has great tendon strength just by looking at them
I saw an interview, on here I think, where one of Stewart's trainers, when they did the fitness test, he scored extremely low for a top level MX/SX rider. But when they did monitoring while he rode he was able ride so smoothly that he conserved energy better than anyone he saw.
Must use a lot more energy if you get a bad start and have to work through the pack.
Look up the wrestling career of Ben Askren. Dad bod that dominated.
Jesus Christ these kids saying "like" every other word drives me nuts.
I mean he's had recent brain surgery and 150 concussions surprised he can speak with out a slur tbh
@@lukekelly5115 The host does the same thing. It's called a lack of education and immaturity. Not having the vocabulary. They speak like 15 year old girls.
@@lukekelly5115i think he was saying the same things before surgery
@@lw3918 maybe moto isn’t right for you, not exactly known as being a sport of the highly educated or proper lmao
@Markjacobs4477 Bet I've been into it longer than you. And there's no excuse for not learning how to speak properly.
It was called PED’s lmao
Austin, try going carnivore for a month. You'll never go back.
