Film about a storm rider washed ashore.
What is the price of freedom? Paul Johnson sailed the world all his life. He loved, drank and lived foolish, never truly living on land. Now he is turning eighty. Both him and his boat are unfit to sail. He drinks a liter of vodka a day and contemplates his life, his death. What is at the end of such a journey? Is there loneliness? What is the relationship between freedom and selfishness? Does fulfilling a dream always have a bitter end?

@@joshwyatt9231Yes he was burried there according to some articles. His boat designs are pretty interesting. Never heard of him until I saw this docu.

I am finally watching _the Sailor_ ....... again, after a hiatus away working on my own sinking schooner. Paul was so much fun. Seems like i watched this a few years ago [9mo release on Utube?]

I know people who have lived similar lives takes it till but they happy I am now 56 years old and have plans to spend rest of my life it is a selfish thing to do to your family but wtf
I think the most important thinf in our lives is to have someone next to you to share the luck you expirience even if it's sailing, motorcycle riding etc...Both things makes me happy but I could bot imagine doing it all alone without taking someone with me...
