At last my new Royal Enfield Meteor 350cc Fireball is delivered!

- BIRTH NOTICE - To Rob, a Royal Enfield Meteor after an extended "pregnancy" 🤬
So at last, after 14 weeks of extended gestation, the day has finally come for my Royal Enfield Meteor's accouchement !
I can put an amusing spin on the waiting but in fairness I made a complete nuisance of myself with my brilliant dealer - "Bike Treads" of Swindon and the delay was most definitely NOT their fault.
Most everyone across the country who has placed orders for the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has experienced unexpected and often unacceptable delays for which some have been offered a variety of platitudes amounting to BS 🤬
However, today is a "happy day" - my Meteor 350 has arrived and I even had a little ride out but the summer has gone and I am guessing it will spend a lot of time in the garage before Spring is sprung!

Congrats! You looked like the happiest man in England. Lovely bike.
Thanks Don I believe I am 😀
One of my favorite things about the Meteor is the tail light. I know it's silly but I really like the classic bullet shape.
I agree the tail light is fantastic but I hate the scaffolding below it that holds the numberplate and I will be changing this sooner rather than later thanks for your comment
It's not silly, is cool .
It’s wonderful how a new bike makes us feel 17 again! Enjoy, and stay safe 👍
Again?? I’m only 16 😅 !! Nice to hear from you!!
@@RobLittleuk is that 16 Leap years?
Well done Rob for being patient. My 350 Stellar arrived a week ago and I was as excited as you. My first service is on the 10th Nov and I am struggling to keep the mileage down ! What a delightful bike the Meteor is. 👍👍
I know what you mean - I took mine out today on the Cotswolds....nice and try but now up to 240 miles and the drive to the dealer is 28 so just need to make sure i'm not too far over the 300. Not exactly pleasant driving along at 40 though, holding up the traffic? Trying to keep to little roads.
I bought mine in Jan 2021, what an amazing little cruiser it is!
@@vibhavairan2177 brilliant !!
Good to see people liking Royal Enfield outside India. Meteior is improved re
@Quark Sense was ....no longer British anymore .
Congratulations from Chennai... Just a few miles away from where your bike was built.
A Yellow Fireball would be my choice too. I've holidayed around the Cotswolds and having travelled the world a bit can wholeheartedly say, there's nowhere else I'd rather be in a Yellow Fireball with the Missus riding pillion! Happy riding.
Thanks so much for your comment especially coming from Chennai! And you have obviously seen a few more of my videos so thanks for looking. The Cotswolds, as you know, is a beautiful area - a bit dull, cloudy and 9C today but, particularly in Spring its stunning and a wonderful place to ride. We would love to welcome you back here again one day. 😊 🤗
Congratulations sir. I really hope you create many memories with this machine. All the best from India
Thanks so much for your comment Adarsh - and greetings from UK too !!
Big shout out from Mumbai, India. Congratulations!!
I am still awaiting mine. Booked it mid September, keeping my fingers crossed on getting it soon.
Thanks Sheldon hope yours arrives soon !!
Same here mate, booked in September, but will have to wait a bit longer since I'm from Brazil.
@@baratchela Here's hoping you get your bike soon and it provides you the best adventures possible. Cavalga com Deus!.
I am from Mumbai too and I ordered way back in June, got my delivery about 2 weeks ago man
@@asator3461 wow - your bike didn’t have to travel as far as mine. Anyway enjoy your bike and thanks for commenting !
Sat here watching this with a big smile on my face thinking one day I too could own one of these. At 58 in the middle of my DAS training this is the bike I have my eye on. I'll have to ask local dealer what the delivery time is likely to be. Don't think I could wait too long.
Well - delivery has been a massive issue this year but it may be getting easier. There appears to be some stock in the dealerships now if you are not worried about colour etc. Good luck with your Direct Access and thanks for your comment 😊
What i like most about Royal Enfield is that it is very affordable and premium quality
Congratulations owning the same bike same color from 1 yer it’s Amazing..
Great to see you on the bike Rob… finally! Hope you have many miles of smiles and fun.
Merci Nigel!! And good luck to you with yours. 😊
My father just reached 71 n we're planning to buy a Meteor Stellar as a family motorcycle for him n although he wanted to buy a scooter but i said lets buy a Royal Enfield as it will be our first major purchase in 20 years plus he used to ride Bullet in his air force days in 70s n 80s.
Seems like a sensible move - well done !!
Congrats, enjoy your beautiful Meteor, stay safe, greetings from Florida🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
Thanks Andreas but our weather is not so agreeable as yours although some of our scenic drives are stunning…..🌧💨🌦🥶
Pleased for you - at last! Excellent video and looking forward to the sequel.
Hi and thanks for your comment - there will be a sequel but NOT in the vein of "OlManRonin" !!
Congratulations 🎉! The new stage of biking has started ! Ride on !
Except it’s getting cold!
I am so happy to see a decent thinker as you and the fact that I could read the joy on your face. Pleasent rides and much much health
The joy was soon dissipated on the arrival of winter but no worries - Spring is coming 😀
I got mine within 2 months. Same color . Wat a handsome bike.
👍😊
Rob you have opted for a beautiful machine.. Mine delivered a month back and I always look forward to weekends to hit the highways with this beauty..
Yes its a wonderful bike and I love the colour....only problem is (and assuming you are not in England?) the temperature outside is about 6C and they will start gritting and salting the roads soon 🥲
Royal Enfield is soooo practical , low maintenance , pocket friendly , good looking.
You are so right!
Well done lad. A guy in my town has a blue and black model... Lovely bike with bags of charm..
Thanks for your comment - very true!
Great to see you finally got it Rob!.... watching your last 2 vids on the Meteor finally persuaded me to order one 😁 I ordered mine late September, so with any luck I'll get it by January!😂 Safe riding!
Hi thanks for your comment and hope yours cones through when expected. I need commission 😃
@@RobLittleuk 👍😂
that basic yellow [fireball] colour looks the best ;; no need for anything else to overdo it;; glad you like it;;
My thinking entirely. If I want a screen or a sissy bar I can get them but I don’t! Thanks your your comment!
Bright yellow bike and a bright green helmet. It's like sunshine in the deary skies 👍
Both are yellow actually but clash terribly !
So happy for you! Lovely bike. Like yourself, been riding a long time (50 years this year) and have trouble getting my leg over and my knee joints aren't great either. I gave up the big cruisers (too heavy) a few years ago and bought a Honda CMX500 Rebel last year. Nice little bike but not the most comfy. Then quite by accident I came across the Meteors on youtube. If you take into account the limited performance, the reviews were all excellent. I believe it's the best selling bike in the UK. I've fallen in love!
So next spring I'm off to my nearest Enfield dealer to get one.
Wishing you many happy miles. Take care and ride safe.
enjoy in good health!
Thanks for your comment Tony - I am already !

Kudos to you for maintaining your balance while backing out your bike in a decline. You sir are a champ.
Indeed I do have a very steep bit of drive - I hope I don’t fall one day! Thanks for your comment 😀
Beautiful...Beautiful piece of machinery.
Yes indeed it is - we both seem to have the same bike 😊
Well done fella! Wishing you many wonderful and safe miles on the meteor 👍
Thanks for your comment 😀
Thank you so much for this video which shows the RE Meteor is more than a beginning's bike. I love the looks of the upright cylinder, it reminds me of the older British bikes, they were always the best looking bikes on the road even in the states. I'm almost 70 years of age and love smaller bikes. When I look back at all the bikes I've owned I see the ones that were the most fun to ride were the smaller ones. I've owned many, but bikes like the old Honda 250 Rebel and Honda 600cc VLX still make me smile when remembering the good times on them. I've owned larger bikes, too. Like a Suzuki 1500 Intruder (one of the best I've ever owned) Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic (had two of them, Star(Yamaha) Stratoliner (the one I hated the most, I'll never own another Yamaha or Star),
But due to my wife's health issues, she has battled cancer nine times, after the cancer went to her brain it caused her to have seizures, we went to a HD Tri-Glide trike. We are on our second trike now, but in truth One cannot justify the high cost of such a thing.
We were afraid if my wife had a seizure on a two wheeled bike if might cause an accident injuring both of us and possibly others. On the trike, we feel I should be able to pull over and tend to her needs without any injury to us or others.
All this being said, I would still LOVE to have a smaller bike to not just ride but to enjoy and the RE Meteor is on the top of my list. I hope you enjoy many many miles, or kilometers on your new ride. Stay safe and enjoy the journey.
Hi Gene and thanks for all your comments that I will try to respond to here. The meteor is a great bike and I agree with you - I have an old Yamaha YB100 and recon I have had more fun riding that bike than any other. I also had a Suzuki Intruder and my wife and I rode it to the South of France I believe in 2007. So sorry to hear about your wife - it is nice the two of you can get out on some kind of "bike" or "trike" together. You also mentioned speed in another of my videos - I've had fast bikes but at 69 years old (same as you) I take the view of why do I want to ride at 140mph, risking my life and my licence? Been there, done that!! Also as far as the silencer is concerned....actually I am perfectly happy with the sound. Nice to hear from you Gene....say Hi to your wife from England and drive safe 🤗
@@RobLittleuk When we are 69 years of age we can tell others that we are just barely in our 60's..... we are the high end but we don't have to tell them that part. We are just barely in our 60's. My hair has changed color also, I tell people it's ANTIQUE BLONDE. (it use to be brown).

I enjoyed the sound of the bike
And happy face of the owner too 👏👏
Happy is an understatement! 😁
Just bought the same bike here in the states in the same color - Yellow has that 60s British vibe! I took one test ride and bought it. ( Mine was just sitting in the dealership when i scooped it up. Not sure whether to just pull up a chair and stare at it or ride it . Just a brilliant bike. Love the little rumble sound , Heel / toe shifter feels great- barely have to move your boot, Super comfortable bike., and Surprisingly has good acceleration for 350. Enjoy your new bike mate!! You are showing excellent aesthetic judgment Mark. Personally I prefer the simple look - no decoration of screen or sissy seat. No crash bars.....the basic bike looks great. Good luck with your test ride.....you get used to the heal and toe!
Kist sold my z1000 and going to test ride one of these in the morning. Same thinking as you im alomost 61 with lots of health problems. I also had a 500 enfield for over 4 years and loved it.

I must agree... harder getting a leg over.. MOST bikes these days have a sweeping tail end... I can't do the splits vertically to get on a dang Motorcycle any more..
