Got me a size 8 silver thimble yesterday. Old mining camp. No silver coins though. Last time at this site I found 2 Chinese coins. My buddy got an aluminum thimble to. This time I only got the silver thimble and nothing else to speak of. My buddy got a Chinese coin this time. We hunted it for 2 days. I think we cleaned it out. I use the 36" long magnet sweeper with wheels. I roll it over the entire area pulling out the incredible amount of square nails and rusted can bits. I think we are done at that site for awhile. Hot silver day you guys had! Awesome!

A black light flashlight is the secret weapon against the horrible tomato horn worm too I recently discovered. Now that I have one I need to figure out some other uses. I wonder if they help with rabbit hunting at night? Ha! That`s how we controlled them on our farm when they had population outbreaks after parvo wiped out the predators in the 70s.

I have a pair of gloves, once hunter’s orange, that I’ve been using since I was 14. Bought them new from K-Mart in 1979. Still use them to this date, if it’s not to cold. Not much left on the finger ends. Just can’t get rid of them. Maybe I’ll have them put in my coffin with me, when I die. LOL
