- Flowing water is always magical much less when it's found in the desert! How about having it to yourself, perfect solitude to immerse your every sense in wilderness beauty without distractions or interruption, completely to yourself. Cooking and eating good food and being with friends. Sound like my kind of outdoor wilderness camping experience!
As many of you know, I'm an inventor who develops camping gear, mostly oriented towards cooking in the back country. Over the years I've developed several stove and cookware systems to suit a variety of circumstances and camping styles. In this video I went with a more minimal solo oriented cooks set combined with our Freestyle fire pit style wood-burning cookstove. To save weight I left some of the convenience pieces and parts home bringing the minimum for what I planned to do.
I know that having a variety of product options can make decisions more difficult. I think the easiest way to get into the family of firebox products is to first get what speaks to you the most and give it a try. Once you've experienced Firebox flavor you'll better know which direction you may want to explore next. There really aren't bad choices. All my products provide a fun, fulfilling tradional camping experience you'll look forward to.
Below I've listed the Firebox Outdoors llc. products used in this video with links to my safe and secure website. We've been shipping Firebox products all over the world for well over 10 years. We pride ourselves on having happy customers and I personally guarantee your experience. Cheers my friends I sure do appreciate all the ongoing support from so many of you over so many years.

Awesome video. What an amazing place!
Utah has so many great places to explore and see. Thanks for watching! 😁
Those goats make fine companions and fine pack animals. The Firebox kit worked a treat, cooking several items more or less at once and using different methods at the same time.
Yes indeed, it was a great trip! 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting.
Oh what a heavenly life you're living 😊😮 feels like a dream.
Thank you, I sure appreciate it!
Another fantastic video, as usual! It cracks me up the way Maggie likes to tease those goats. She is like a mischievous child. 😂😂
Yes, she truly is. She keeps us entertained for sure. 😁

Amazing work. Great to see the whole crew back together again 💯👍😎
It's been fun and really nice having everyone there. Thanks for watching! 😁
I've read several Western novels that mentioned dogs being used as pack animals by Indians, but have never heard of goats using them. That was pretty cool and interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing your great video!
Thank you for watching! 😁
Great vlog as always. I love seeing the goats out backpacking. Your dogs must have immense self control, my dog would've been all over that breakfast. Cheers, Simon (England)
Lol I totally understand that! It's been a lot of work training the goats and dogs too get to this point. Daily training was a big deal, they think I'm part of the herd now lol. 🤣
I always enjoy your adventures with the gang, I think it’s wonderful 😎
Thank you, I appreciate that. 😁
It's amazing to see how the nature looks different from my town in Japan! And of course to see the gang and food🤤 Super relaxing yet exciting video. Thank you!
Thank you for the comment as well, we appreciate your support. 😊
Lots of fun here. Reminds me of my crew. BTW, I use creek sand as an abrasive for washing hands, pots, etc.
That's awesome! 😁 we'll have to give it a try, thanks for sharing.
Wow seru camping nya,ada temen, sangat jinak piaraan Nya,❤❤ sukses selalu sobat, salam kenal 🙏🙏
Very Beautiful video 😊🌲🌲🌲🌻

Happened to stumble across your channel and was blown away by your instrument. As an Indigenous woman in Qld Australia it was such a pleasant surprise to see you playing this. Obviously we have didgeridoos here in Australia but I've not seen this before. Love your channel will definitely be subscribing Cheers 🇦🇺
Thank you for the support from Australia! I have fun with the didgeridoo for sure. Nice to have you here.
Great video! After watching your vids tells me time to make another order to the Fire box store! Gave me some good ideas!
That's great to hear. Thank you for the support, we truly appreciate it. 😁
Great location Steve! Having option of sun, shade, or a mix of both is a great feature in choosing a location to set up camp. Those big boulders were a prefect natural wind break for the Firebox Stove Freestyle. Horn-cam is a hit.
Thank you for the comment! It was a really fun trip, like usual. 😎
I'm from Idaho and am inspired by your outdoor adventures!
Thank you for watching and commenting from Idaho! 😁
I like the goat pro ! 🤣👍

Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Que maravilloso es ver la naturaleza de Dios.y los animalitos libres pasear ALADO de uno.caminar juntos .divirtiéndose.
❤thật tuyệt vời ❤
Just amazing. I love camping but ive yet to conquer the fear of cowboy camping under the stars. I realize a tent is false security but can keep critters off you at night. This whole set up makes me want to just go and do!! Thanks for sharing the adventure.
Yes, I agree, the bugs are extremely annoying! Hopefully, you can get out there sooner rather than later and enjoy nature. Cheers to you.
You say, "you can't be too warm." Well, once while on a multi day rafting trip along the Green River through Dinosaur National Monument, I learned to put up my tent only after the sun started going down because otherwise my tent would be unbearably hot at night. The first night I put it up too soon and I laid there stripped down to almost nothing, laying only on an air mattress and still pouring sweat and worried I was going to wake up dehydrated. So you CAN be too warm, lol. Anyway, thanks for making my mouth water....
Lol too true, point proven. 🤣 thanks for the comment.
Great video. I really enjoyed it. Also, I'm looking forward to another fishing adventure, hopefully sometime soon!
Thank you very much for the feedback, glad you enjoyed watching. I'll be out fishing soon. Keep an eye out. 😁
Maggie has grown up to be a fine companion who can pull her weight!
Yes, she truly has. We love her. 😊

He is doing a great job as a cameraman
Lol indeed, better than I thought. 😁
Personally I have never seen the like, backpacking goats no leads and dogs enjoying their company. I've backpacked all over and have only seen dog packs...good show!
That's awesome you've backpacked all over, I'd like to one day as well. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😁
This is awesome. I want to someday go on a little backpacking camping trip just need to plan a easy trip at first haha
Yeah, you don't have to go far to get away from the crowds. Well worth the work!
great company ...
Yes they are! We have fun out there exploring Utah. 😁
Made me salivate!!! ...and I don't even eat like that anymore! 😅😅🤣🤣😅😋😋😋😋
🤣🤣🤣 this is good!
Pretty awesome nice😂😂😂❤❤
Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it 😄
Отличное путешествие, очень люблю смотреть ваши ролики. Думал сегодня будет рыба, но видать не в этот раз. Привет из России 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Thank you for watching from Russia!!
Great video! I'd love to see one where you go over the contents of the animals packs. Looks like they're packed to the gills lol.
We'll take this into consideration for sure, thank you. 😊 The goats can carry up to 50lbs and we load them with 25lbs. They carry grain and camera gear. 😁
I think hes saying...dont stop in front of me and i wont push you...MOVE IT!! LOL!!!!! He wants you to move at goat speed...lol. beautiful place. How old is little Junie now? Shes the cutest creature..love her. That bashing stick was perfect..made lots of kindling..LOL
동물친구들이 주인님을 잘따라주니 야생캠핑이 소소한 즐거움을 주네요👏
Yes, we have a great time out there! 😁
Long ago i learned from Dave C. That a handful of sand and use your hand rub around...nice n clean..no cloth..no scrub. You got plenty rinse water. Nothing to harm nature or the water. Water n sand
Thanks for the great idea! 😁
@@fireboxstove hard to believe...MUD makes it clean. No chemicals...OR scrubby..LOL!!!
This method of using sand or gravel in a titanium pot, is a perfect way to clean… I’ve been using this method for many years now.
@larryn8 keep in mind..gravel scratches...MUD is the key...easy peas clean.
Your outdoor adventure videos are of such high quality and so well produced, they deserve to be watched on a big screen TV. Well done sir, and introducing the goat cam 👍🏼 Priceless. No bungee cords to hold the aluminum table panels together?
Thật tuyệt ❤
Thanks so much! 🔥
Wow..amazing Bro..all the best❤i am watching from Malaysian.
Thank you for the support from Malaysia!
ребята всем привет .так приятно отправится с такое хорошие путишествие со старыми друзьями

The horn cam kills me!!
Lol that's what we thought as well. 😁

Thank you very much! 😁
Gravy makes the biscuits taste reaaaaal gooood….my son said that when he was little….He’s 18 now…I loved watching your familiar, cozy, camp out settings..I have the freestyle. I look forward to doing something similar real soon! Absolute respect, for displaying YOUR respect, by cleaning up, and, packing out…A fine example. And lessons learned. Thanks again Steve. Another “hit”!!!
Yes, indeed, it sure does. I hope you and your son get out and enjoy many delicious meals and lifelong memories. 😁
Your clothes are like very good camouflage
Maggie looks like she might be part Belgian Malinois. They are very high energy dogs!
She's something else for sure lol. 🤣
I love that the goats can eat pretty much anything. That shot of one of them going up to the tree and yanking off a hank of dry bark and chowing down was impressive…
Lol they keep me entertained for sure! 🤣✅️
A ? Is the water from those wild, raging mountain rivers drinkable or are they contaminated with minerals? NICE! Trip!! Good thing you have those goats for helpers, sure footedness matters!! God Bless! Jerry
I don't think they're contaminated with minerals but there is a chance of giardia and other microorganisms so you need to either boil, filter or have pack goats so you can carry it enough👍🤠

Thank you very much! 😁
Nice to see your other goat back. Is your other dog ok? Great spot even though I love to see the fishing. Be well. Ps..the cinnamon rolls looked amazing !
Ash passed away sadly last November, we have Maggie as well as Juni. Thanks for commenting and watching, we appreciate it. 😁
I'm so sorry. I loved see the coat wearing moments in your videos. I lost my mom in the same month so loosing a family member sucks. My apologies for asking. Thanks for your adventures!
I am amazed at how the goats can maneuver over the rocks , !
They do so well, it's shorebirds. ❤️
Merhaba hoşgeldiniz çoktandır yoktunuz umarım herşey yolundadır.
Lynn was wondering how you cool Bill and Levi off in the truck?
Also Bill was a good camera goat.
Dogg is down for a few days he pulled a hammy on our last hike.
We enjoyed the video
Thank you so very much! The goat cam is hilarious and another interesting view point. The goats have windows open in the back of the truck to cool them down. 😎
Yo no disfruto de lo q dice .xq no le entiendo el lenguaje.pero disfruto de lo q ase .
Hello, how are you doing with these adventures?Jose de Astorga Paraná Brazil
Zoomies on the trail! 😂
I just learned the other day that the zoomie behavior is frenetic random activity periods FRAPs. Who would have thought that it was an actual thing?
40:47 I really wanted to curse out loud because of how good that looks.. but i made some too :)
Good idea, that'll work every time. 🤣
Oye amigo.les tiene q dar café alas cabritas xq les dio a oler el aroma.una tazita para cada cabritas.
Have you developed a small camp shovel or hand shovel to do much of what you do by hand to clean after your fire?
Not yet but you never know what the future holds. 😁
Keep an eye out for predators. Safe travels.
Thank you, I will! So far, so good. Knock on wood.
EXCELLENT PANOROMIC VIEW. PHOTOGRAPHY IS REMINDING ME THE OLD ENGLISH MOVIES. S.D.CHOWDHURY, INDIA 🇮🇳.
Thanks for watching, we appreciate it so much!
Be careful rocks and sand are slippery adding a back seat driver lol
Lol, thanks for looking out for us.
Hello Steve, I've been waiting to get in early on a video's commentary to have what I suspect is the best chance of you seeing and replying to what is actually a question. In one of your recent videos, you mentioned having a CNC punch press that you hadn't "...yet figured out how to operate [it]" if I recall correctly. May I ask: How has that learning project progressed? Would you ever consider putting the machine to work prototyping some perforated-metal screens for a new product, and perhaps participating in the development on a joint venture basis if you liked the product?
Our progress with the new machine is going well and we're punching parts out as well as doing the programming. Very happy with how things are going. I would be happy to talk to you about your project please contact me via the contact us page on my website fireboxstove.com
@@fireboxstove Thanks kindly for the reply, Steve; it is encouraging news!
I need to arrange transportation of a piece of equipment from GA up to MT. If I encounter as much difficulty and expense as I have with other transport needs since the Covid shutdowns and the Bidenflation fuel prices, I might end up moving the backhoe myself. If the situation develops that way, I'll make a point of routing the itinerary through UT!
I will probably send an email through your website either tonight or tomorrow night with a brief introduction to my background and some approximations of dimensions, including gauges and material types, that I anticipate needing to fabricate. I'll note "Punch Press Project" as the subject. Thanks again for your response.
PS: Maggie remains an entertaining hoot! And I'm so happy to see that Levi's return to the trail is working out!
When you bake what rocks do you use.
Hard river rocks work best. ✅️
@@fireboxstove thanks
