You've seen my trip video's over the last 6 months or so out camping and testing this fun and super useful cast iron cooker "Dutch Oven" design. I've put it through it's paces and it has done nothing but impress! So fun and easy to use that you'll never leave home without it! Not to mention how much you'll enjoy using it at home.

caught my first ice-fishing fish, a beautiful brook trout which I cooked up using the Firebox Freestyle Stove in its eight panel fire-pit configuration in conjunction with the exciting new cast-iron cookware The "Firebox 5-WAY Cookers" this was the first time trying the new 5-WAY Cookers on the Freestyle Fire-Pit. Works great! In fact, the 1" 5-Way Pan fits down in the stove for quick convenient cooks-ups! I also used the Fire-sticks to keep everything on top which worked great as I was able to use both the 5-WAY and the BOX-POT side by side with ease.

What a great journey!! Your genuine surprise/joy, of catching something so tasty(looking!!)….and chasing your firewood back!!!….My favorite configuration (with my titanium modular!) is this one..(I know where to put my fire sticks too!! There is a learning curve!)

Great video Steve. Beautiful trout and your meal looked delicious. The potatoes browned up nicely with the cast iron. I was glad to see you had a lightweight stool. At my age my knees and back cannot withstand the postures (kneeling and bending over) you assume regularly as you prepare your cook. I have to have sit when working close to the ground.

It’s just my way of thinking but I would’ve camped on the side of the lake where the sun shines first in the morning. Otherwise glorious trip , love the cooking!

Awesome as always. Great place to fish and camp. I was just telling my wife as we watched how that 5-way cookware you are developing looks like a great addition IF it isn't too heavy. I love cast iron, but the weight is always a drawback for me as I try to balance as light as possible with usability for these old bones. I have at times taken cast iron, but it has been the smallest stuff I can to keep weight down. With that 5-way it looks like it might be perfect to take half and use the shallow camp plate to not only eat from but use as a cover for the half so I can get the goodness of the cast iron when I fry cook. Anyway will be looking for that kickstarter to see and with the box pot I got coming may be the only two pieces of cookware I will ever need for on the trail/overnight.
With my luck at fishing , I always carry tuna fish with me. Enjnoyed your trip.
