    A good family friend of mine grew up in Bell Gardens, California at the same time as John Force. He is a little older than John but he does remember John in his early years in Orange county California. I grew up down the street from a famous engine builder named Vic Smalldino in Midway city in Orange county. Racing was all over southern California in the 50's 60's, 70's. True drag racing was born in southern California.

    "Thank you Mr. Force" I took what you have and put into playing music and I'm not known for it, But I play with my heart and let God do the rest I love what I do and Happy as a pig in you know. I love you Mr, Force for what you are and how you are. Thank you from the Bottom of my heart. I'm just like you in what I do and got it from listening to you talk about your love of it. You are a blessing and an Inspiration. GOD Blessed you and he blessed me to see and hear you speak. Thanks again. Ronnie

    John, you are amazing & you crack me up constantly; I call it “laugh therapy”. My parents grew up in the DEPRESSION days & we were poor too. Mustard sandwiches; I can relate!! Wish I could take away your heartache, especially your loss of your dog. I know you got your log truck but it was really your dog that was your loss. You can always trust your pets; they never let you down.

    Year’s ago the John Force clan would stop in Boise, Idaho to race at Firebird Raceway’s Nightfire Nationals…The family stayed at a local motel near my house and would take a break and float through Boise on the Boise River. I’m sure the schedule wouldn’t ever allow such relaxation now.

He is a WINNER and it tooks a lot of years and Louie to get him where he is today. Laurey on the other hand was and is still a great wife , to put up with all the SHIT that he has put her threw. Now the whole famliy is a part of HIS DREAMS, You have to love the guy if you are a racer, even if you don't like him..........

    Ive been a race fan since the 60's because my Dad raced stock cars when i was born. I was a young boy watching the Snake And Mongoose rivalry at Ontario Motor Speedway in the 70's when our Mother took us there. I knew who John was from ESPN when he drove up in a Castrol truck I was recently transferred to Yorba Linda working for Stater Bros night crew but i was checking it had to be a Saturday Morning in late 1986. I dont remember what i said to him to get him talking it doesnt take much and he will light up and make you feel like he knows you. I think i said i was a race fan for years...and he said something like "MAY GOD HELP YOU MY SON" hes very funny with spontaneous humor on this morning he was interested in playing match maker there was a cute young woman who had a intrest in me and he was matching us up in fun her father started a little company he called Family Fitness at the time 24 hour fitness later but she freaked me out because she knew my schedual before i did anyway he was paving the way sensing my aprehention toward her was shyness. He always has a intrest and concern for all the people who he talks to. John went on to OWN THE 90's litterally in Funny Car and owning local properties he and Laurie did some spec building my dad was also a builder at one time and after i became a realtor i did a property search at random i think it was 27 properties came up with his very cool name on them in Yorba Linda. Some time later my very good friend Pat was working in Yorba Linda a property a man was intrested in buying Pat was a cab 'll e electrician and the potential buyer he realized when he drove up in a white Jaguar was John...Pat addressed John as Mr Force and John quickly told him John is fine Mr Force makes me sound old and im just getting started....lol you can see how he relaxed Pat and made some people laugh. This is a cool story because Pat passed away in 2013.My dad and i went to a couple of his Christmas car shows with dozens of guys stopping and listening to what my dad knew about cars like one of those old commercials....When E.F. Hutton talks ....people listen...lol Dad knows his cars....and the entire neighborhood around the race shop was needed ..to many cars to see or count i wouldn't be suprized if it were 1000 at least 500. And as usual John talking to everybody as if we are his family...making conversation with people who dont know what to say to him...making it easy to not only talk to him but its easy to like him as well and one of those many reasons is John is consistant....what you see on TV is the guy your gonna get in person in public. In 2010 or 2011 Mat Haggan was dominating the season i was nervous about going to the race at Pomona if Haggan won the championship i was gonna feel horrible for John but if John came from behind and beat Matt i couldnt forgive myself for not being there alot of great racers can win again after a life threatning. Accident but very few have won another championship after a bad crash Niki Lauda being the only i can remenber off the top of my head.....anyway Costa put Matt on the trailer first round Matt lost by inches then Force won by inches and John now had a mathmatical chance..after round one someone said something to John and he replied .."just going rounds were just going rounds." In the pit something took me over i yelled at him in front of hundreds of fans....JUST GOING ROUNDS MY ASS JOHN !!! YOU HAVE A CHANCE AT ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP JOHN AND NOBODY ON THIS PLANET KNOWS HOW DO DO THAT BETTER THAN YOU JOHN !!! Come on now lets kick some Haggan ass !!! I was shocked i blurted this out but comforted when he said " this guy is starting to sound like my wife".....lol Laurie was standing behind him when he said that and i dont think he knew that which made it funnier......Later that day when John was so excited he tried to do cartwheels unsucsefully but he wass stagediving into the croud with his new leather championship Jacket on i said to myself....just going rounds huh....just going rounds.....he came from behind ..he won another championship and as a grandfather...i remember thinking that 60 has never been so dam cool i could only hope im that cool at 60 years young....Thats my John Force experience ..i call him the nitro cowboy because he wears some really cool boots often ......PEACE...

      Terry Johnson John used people to get where he is and I know someone that helped him. When they finally called him out he wiped his feet on them like a door mat and walked away! He definitely has a good line of bullshit that pulls people in as I was one of those people, but after watching how he dumped on someone that helped him a whole lot, I realized that he used his gift of gab to use people. In the video they tell a story about when Ashley was a baby and they talked someone into giving them diesel, there is a chance that could have been the guy I knew. He owned a trucking company and would let John fill up his 18 wheeler every time he came through our town in west Texas. He would also let John and Louie sleep at his house. I watched all this go on because I hung out with them when they were in town as I was a small time drag racer. When shit went south he quit coming around and we were no longer welcome in his pits at the races when we showed up at the 1986 Winternationals in Pomona. In those days he couldn’t win a race to save his life, until he hired Austin Coil in 1985. Look how he ended up treating Austin Coil after Coil tuned his car to most of his championships. Nowadays his son in law has to have a “co-crew chief” to make decisions on the car because he is so incompetent. Oh well, work him or feed him as the old saying goes.....

      @@trailerparkcryptoking5213 i realize any person cant go through life without developimg a certain amount of. Critics even when you feel you did everything right rthere will be a few who think hou should have done it diferently or didnt do it their way. I remenber watching a video about Dale sr # 3 taking ffavors to keep racing nefore a sponsor he said he thought they were bresking even when they werexactually going into ds.ebt.i remember thinking to myself how many of those people did he go back and actually square up with when he stsrted making some real money. Negore you wrote me back i looked up johns wealth and it said 12 million when scumaker racing is owned. By a billonare
      ... That sheik that Alan Johnson woked for had to be a billionaire and Connie had started a aitline to support his racing addiction. I do feel that Johns not perfect i wasmt tryong to sound umrealistic. I was truing to keep the text to a minimum om accused all the time my text Re to long even rhoigh they a= skort compared to e mail. Or a converlsation on the phone. One of the areas where i feel john could be is putting his girls in race cars....i feel the media loves to see women win but a fear i have is the damage could be. Done to racing of a high profile woman killed like force daughters....but who am i to specualate im just another fan....i do realize ecertbody is not perfect and thay line sgarts with me...tired

    • @racer774
      @racer774 Před 5 lety

      Valhalrik - What are you going on about? It takes A LOT of sponsorship money for otherwise limited budget teams to be competitive on the circuit. A Funny Car has at least 3 times as much surface area for those sponsor's names and products compared to a T/F dragster. Besides that, Funny Car is a larger draw than T/F at most any event. There was a certain major drag racing sanctioning body that completely DROPPED T/F from their program because the teams in T/F were rarely enough to fill a 16 car field. If there are less than 16 cars entered (15 to 9) means an automatic bye-run which isn't as interesting to watch as side-by-side racing and if as few as 8 cars are qualified, there is a complete round of racing lost. Funny Car continues to thrive although NHRA's management team has consistently devalued their organization's National events (for racers and fans) by making many errors in judgement while raising ticket prices too high for many families to be able to afford like they used to.
