before: 56ms ping download: 5.6 upload 0.9
after: 16ms ping download: 6 upload 1.6-1.9

It's because you have a Windows 10 Home Version. The 'gpedit' is only available on the Windows 10 Professional Version
you need windows pro will not work on windows home
you need a windows 10 pro or windows 10 enterprise

If it slows your internet down, then you can reverse it by entering in
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=normal
Should speed back your internet lost.

In Home versions, GPEDIT isn't available. Here is how: Download this: drudger.deviantart.com/art/Add-GPEDIT-msc-215792914 then open setup.exe. (For x64 users like me): Copy GroupPolicy, GroupPolicyUsers and gpedit.msc from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 to C:\Windows\System32. In case you are getting “MMC could not create the snap-in” error message then download the following zip file (www.itechtics.com/?ddownload=18249) and unzip it to C:\Windows\Temp\gpedit\. This should replace two files x86.bat and x64.bat. Credits to davehc for this. Hope this helps!

At 10:55 when he says to click on "Use the following IP address", don't click on it! Just keep it on "Obtain an IP address automatically". That way you won't get a pop up screen asking for an IP address.

Life Saver, My internet speed dropped like 75% once I disabled auto tuning. I was trying "enabled" to reverse with no luck. "normal" is the winner!
This was very useful method for me.thank .thank u a lot.
At first when I start to see this video my internet speed was download 41mbps upload 29mbps and after I see this video and do everything you do my internet speed drops to download 18mbps upload 5mbps.
Before test, I got about 25ms in Ping. My download speed was around 17 Mbps and my upload speed was around 12 Mbps.
After optimization, my ping was 18 ms, download speed was 17-18 Mbps and my upload speed was 19-20 Mbps.

Love the tutorial. Everything improved my internet speed besides the Windows Registry tweaks. Would recommend consistently checking your internet speeds. Don't just do it once for a good estimation, check 3 times for a good average

Open THIS PC and Select Properties and then you will see if ur Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Pro Support Local Group Policy Editor / gpedit.msc

The cmd part fucked it up for me. If u want to turn it back to normal the just type in CMD (netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal) and it will fix it.

in that case just switch the, 'use the following ip address' option to obtain an ip address automatically option, from the internet protocol version 4 properties! Then you can enter the dns server without any trouble! thank you.

Thank You SO MUCH!!! I went form 3-4mbs downolad 0.10-0.50mbps upload and 40ms to 7-9mbps download 0,5-0.7 mbps upload and 30ms! It actually worked!

of course qos packet is a myth that never dies.qos packet scheduler only limits the speed of internet by 20%only when it is windows updating but when its not it uses all the bandwith and reserves nothing.so you willl not getting anything and plus you will slow down your windows update if you do this.a microsoft tech has already debunked that myth.

And amazingly this worked. Ping was 80 and dropped to 20. Download speed was only 11.4 mbp/s and went up to 42.1 mbp/s and upload speed was 2 mbp/s and it's now

The Cloudflare server called 1.1.1.1 works the best, faster than all of these.
Just use 1.1.1.1 as the DNS address, and use 1.0.0.1 as the secondary address. Thank me later.
After doing everything on this video, I was shocked to find that my download speed had gone from 91.47 Mbps to 43.63 Mbps. I ran the test again to be sure, but then the speed had dropped to 26.97. I then undid everything I implemented and ran the test again. And low, my speed was back to 91 Mbps.

I have a 64 bit pc... when making a DWORD, do I have to set it up as 64 bit or 32 bit will work just fine?
He created a Dword which is in 32 bit. The Qword is 64 bit. I have a 64bit as well and i used tge Dword 32 bit like in the video and it didnt affect my pc. Just follow the video. Remeber to back up your pc before following the video

i have a MSI gaming laptop i was just playing then all the sudden its been really high ping on games i dont know whats causing it
first 2 parts is all you need. I set regedit values to 32 since I have fios gigabit. This worked perfect. I kept auto tune as when disabled it slowed connection down.
