To quote Katytastic: "I like big books and I cannot lie You other readers can't deny When a book is so big It's hard to lift because honestly I don't that much upper body strength..."
I've just started Final Empire and I can see it going so quickly. Like Wise Man's Fear - over 900 pages and I felt like it wasn't long enough because I want to live in that book!
Oh! You look beautiful in this video! (as if you don't ALWAYS look beautiful) I love seeing all the massive books! I don't know why, but when I finish a MASSIVE book, I feel so accomplished.
This looks fun! I should do this tag! I HAD NO IDEA THAT BREAKING DAWN WAS THAT BIG EITHER! Oh my gosh! I read that in like 2 days too! Wow! I've actually read most of the books that you mentioned or if I haven't they're in my wish list! :) Great video! Happy Reading! :)
I think I might actually go ahead and do this tag. I have a lot of big books on my shelf waiting to be read, so it might be fun to do it now and then again in like a year or so to see if I beat my page counts. Because that seems like a fun thing to do for some reason :P
OH MY GOD! I felt the same way reading A Clash of Kings. I was literally flipping ahead to see how long it would be until I got to the next Arya chapter!
Love this tag! At first I didn't want to read Game of Thrones because the books are huge and now I hear about those books all the time. I hope to give the series a chance soon!
It was so hard for me to get through A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings because fantasy isn't my favorite genre, but Tyrion is my favorite fictional character ever. I adore him! And Arya had the most interesting storyline in A Clash of Kings. She was so great.
The biggest books I've read: LoTR in 1 volume; Narnian Chronicles bindup; Bleak House (Dickens); Middlemarch (G. Eliot); OotP (Rowling). I came close to reading the complete dialogues of Plato, but didn't read The Laws or a few of the minor dialogues. The biggest TBR books on my shelf: War&Peace and Anna Karenina, & Crime&Punishment is somewhere. If you LOVE big books, try Remembrance of Things Past (Proust), or if you want way shorter try Clarissa (Richardson). Happy reading!
Longest book I've ever read is the unabridged Count of Monte Cristo at 1426 pages, then Les Mis at 1222. I also think that Gone With the Wind was over a thousand, and I think the Three Musketeers was over a thousand as well, but I'm not sure. Wasn't the Hunchback of Notre Dame also pretty long? I read a lot of Victor Hugo and Alexander Dumas, so I've read a lot of books over a thousand pages, and it's totally worth it
On the Arya chapters. I FEEL YOU. I WAS DYING. I almost just started skipping them. Also, if you like game of throne and Brandon Sanderson, you should REALLY read the wheel of time series. Also, it will break any and all book count records, I'm talking 14 books all 800-1100 pages long. But SO EPIC! They are also high fantasy, they are A LOT like Game of Thrones.
+lvm ikki The Vietnamese version is 1138 pages. I still remember feeling pretty proud of myself after reading that big thick book at such young age :))
I envy your reading prowess. I swear you are a reading cyborg ninja. I keep putting my books down every two pages and going to do something else #adhd Sometimes I feel like the publisher comes into my room at night and sticks in a couple more pages when I'm not looking.
I'm reading A Game of Thrones right now and I can't even!!! BAH! so good. When you said "I'm almost 400 pages in and it's epic," I was like YES!!!! The awesomeness continues !!! I've said it a million times POV changes are torture though.
This is an awesome tag. It's scary how many pages we got through in Harry Potter without realising it when we were younger. I read OotP in ONE DAY. I literally stopped for half a dinner. That was it. ONE DAY. I can't believe that. O.O
The Order of the Phoenix the longest book I ever read, too. In German it's 1024 pages tho... (for my 12 year old self to read a book of that size (more than once) - I must have been seriously obsessed)
Great video! I really enjoy all the ones you make! You're definitely one of my top favorite BookTubers! I actually did this video back in August, It was one of the first ones I made. Big Book Tag
I know EXACTLY what you mean about the 100+ pages in between character POVs for the Game of Thrones series. The wait is torture! Hang in there and try your hardest not to skip ahead. It's worth the waiting.
I loooove big books. And everyone I know is like: »Why would you read that? It's sooo big. I would have Like 5years to read this. I would never do this to myself.«
I read the first A Game of Thrones last year and I got A Clash of Kings for Christmas from my secret Santa this past year and I still need to read it. But am also reading "The Book of Life" which is the third book in the "Discovery of Witches" series. And that is pretty thick. All of those books are pretty thick so having to wait like a year or so before the next one came out was a pain because I did not have time to re read the previous book before the new one came out and I almost forgot what went on.
I'm reading Clash of Kings so slowly right now... but that's because I'm already up-to-date with the TV show! Once I catch up... it's gonna be crazy! Oh and I'm reading Order of the Phoenix right now... definitely a huge book but I'm liking the pace!
I looked at my shelves and the top 5 longest books- not one of them comes in under 700 pages. Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson is 1,087ish pages (which I read in three days), followed by Stone of Tears by Terry Goodkind at 1,080ish pages (which I read in two days.)
Loved the video! When I looked through my book I noticed that many of my books are longer than 1000 pages, but that´s because those where books I read in German and all German books are longer than the english originals. I mean Order of the Phenix for example is 1020 pages long in German!! Currently I´m reading "A dance with dragons" (the 5th book in the Song of Ice and Fire Series) and looove it! But it´s massive (1110 pages!!!!!) =)
With all the fantasy books you read, I was sure you'll have at least one book of 1000+ pages. My biggest book is the Way of Kings by OUR fav author Brandon Sanderson which totals at 1088. P.S. You should get going with the rest of Mistborn. It doesn't take 120 pg before each of Vins POV...
I need to read the last in the Mistborn in the series. I keep meaning too but life, it gets in the way. Since you like fantasy, I reckon you might like Tamir Triad trilogy by Lynn Flewelling.
I did not know that Order of the Phoenix was bigger than the first Game of Thrones. Still I think I managed to read that in a day and yet I can't get passed like page 18 on GOT. I should really try reading that agian...
I need to get game of thrones! Been dying to read it for the longest time. The harry potter series is just the best. I remember when i was eight or so i read the whole series in a day! Definitely a highlight of my book reading career haha.
i think part 5 of Harry Potter in German is like 1000 pages long. i think that is the biggest one i have ever read, not sure, tho! i never wondered. :D (PS: I hate Breaking Dawn, I felt like I was reading a book of 5000 pages LOL the complete opposite! haha)
What's the name of the Russian fantasy/love story series that you like so much? I have been trying to figure this out for days and can't find your mention of it anywhere! Thanks :)
HP5 is 880 pages in Norwegian, but it's not the biggest book I've read. The two last books in the Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini has 960 and 1084 pages.
Oh, you're in school? How do you manage to read everything you want to read while still maintaining your school work? I can't read fun books during school because I feel guilty about not doing my work and I get so anxious that I can't finish them....
i think the biggest book i've read is stephen king's "under the dome" which was a little more than 1000 pages. IT WAS SO GOOD! But the Tv series...BLAH!
What publishing company publishes the Mistborn Books you have? Your copies are, I think, bigger than what I'm supposed to buy. I've been trying to asses the size of those books ever since I saw them here in your channel. Haha
To quote Katytastic:
"I like big books and I cannot lie
You other readers can't deny
When a book is so big
It's hard to lift because honestly I don't that much upper body strength..."
Hahaha best song ever
When you said "I like big books..." I chimed in and said "and I cannot lie" as you said it.
I really need Final Empire!
I've just started Final Empire and I can see it going so quickly. Like Wise Man's Fear - over 900 pages and I felt like it wasn't long enough because I want to live in that book!
Thanks for doing my tag! I love when books are so good you don't notice how big they are :D
You'll love Storm of Swords. Lots of Arya.
I was just rewatching her old videos and it's cool to see how she's grown
The biggest book I've read was Stephen King's IT. 1300+ pages
I KNOW! And WOOO
Lol!!"I almost fell in to the camera" great video Regan.
I think I might actually go ahead and do this tag. I have a lot of big books on my shelf waiting to be read, so it might be fun to do it now and then again in like a year or so to see if I beat my page counts. Because that seems like a fun thing to do for some reason :P
I love it when you say "heeey" it's so great :')
i know right ? I've was thinking about the same thing while watching her vid ................ heyyyyyyy ... :3
I might do this tag. I have a ton of huge books on my shelf (Rothfuss, Sanderson, etc). Sounds like fun!
OH MY GOD! I felt the same way reading A Clash of Kings. I was literally flipping ahead to see how long it would be until I got to the next Arya chapter!
The biggest book I read was 'Under the Dome' by Stephen King which is 1079 pages long. :)

I'm up to Deathly Hallows on my HP reread and it feels like I just started! I agree with you on the 3,000 pages!
Love this tag! At first I didn't want to read Game of Thrones because the books are huge and now I hear about those books all the time. I hope to give the series a chance soon!
you need to read "Pillars of the Earth", if you haven't. it's 973 pages of AMAZING!
I agree.
Arya is the most amazing character of all the characters… forever. No but seriously her chapters never get old.
YES
I read the first 4 Song of Ice and Fire books within 4 weeks. My favorite series.
This was definitely motivation to start reading A Game Of Thrones! I always get intimidated by it when i pick it up. I must read itt.
totally agree with you on how many pages you wish were in a jk rowling book. the hp books were long, but i want so much more!
I KNOOOOOW
I need to read the Codex Alera series! I saw the first book in my local bookstore and I got soo exited just because you had talked about it. :-P
It was so hard for me to get through A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings because fantasy isn't my favorite genre, but Tyrion is my favorite fictional character ever. I adore him! And Arya had the most interesting storyline in A Clash of Kings. She was so great.
I saw a Brandon Sanderson book at BAM the other day, and it was literally the fricken hugest book I'd ever seen at about 1080 pages
I'm reading Clash of Kings too at the moment and HELL YES to having to wait for Arya chapters, it's killing me.
I read a lot of Victor Hugo and Alexander Dumas, so I've read a lot of books over a thousand pages, and it's totally worth it
Jillian Adams Ditto. Though I hadn't realized Count was that long. I read it so fast! As for Notre, I think it's quite shorter.
I have the same carpet bookmark as the one you have in Clash of Kings!
Are you being serious? Harry Potter 5 is 800 something pages? In german its 1020 pages ...
Jale YouDontHaveToCare The Swedish one is 1001 :D

+lvm ikki The Vietnamese version is 1138 pages. I still remember feeling pretty proud of myself after reading that big thick book at such young age :))

I envy your reading prowess. I swear you are a reading cyborg ninja. I keep putting my books down every two pages and going to do something else #adhd
Sometimes I feel like the publisher comes into my room at night and sticks in a couple more pages when I'm not looking.
I'm reading A Game of Thrones right now and I can't even!!! BAH! so good.

The Trade copies are half the size of a standard book, with less pages. I look at the size of standard size books.😳
I just finished the Well of Ascension.
You NEED to read it and get to reviewing it!

I'm reading Clash of Kings so slowly right now... but that's because I'm already up-to-date with the TV show! Once I catch up... it's gonna be crazy! Oh and I'm reading Order of the Phoenix right now... definitely a huge book but I'm liking the pace!
WOOOOO
Well you aren't gonna be happy with A Feast for Crows. You'll have to wait a hell lot more between Arya chapters there.
Les Misérables is the biggest book I've read. I read it in a week and a half. I'm pretty impressed with myself on that one since its 1,230 pages
Longest book I've read is "The Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson coming in at 1252 in the mass market paperback edition
Ooooo it would be interesting to do this tag. I kinda forgot about it, but would be fun to do. Mine probably wont be as impressive as yours though.
Loved the video!
When I looked through my book I noticed that many of my books are longer than 1000 pages, but that´s because those where books I read in German and all German books are longer than the english originals. I mean Order of the Phenix for example is 1020 pages long in German!!
