"that just makes the history nerd in me happy... i would love to visit place like these." any other history nerds out there that feel like if time travel was invented history nerds would probably never come back to the present because SO MUCH HISTORY TO EXPLORE!!!
Yes. That is VERY true.
Shannon Woods
ikr can time travel be invented already XD.
I can think of tv shows for all of these...I need to read more
working 40 hours a week opened my eyes totally to why adults always drank so much caffeine lol
Illuminae actually just came out in October! It is really good :)
Please do Jesse's theme park book tag! It is really unique and I would love to hear the books you would choose for it!
I cannot explain how happy I am that someone didn't love Shadow and Bone, because I wasn't a fan and was worried I was the only one
coffee and books are just the way to go
Gabriela Pop ****tea**** you spelt coffee wrong 😐
UGH I AGREE ABOUT SHADOW AND BONE
just picked up Illuminae, sooo goooddd
Regan I just love you so much. I wish I had a friend who'd say things like "i cannot stop talking about this book". Or at least act interested when I'm the one not stopping
Yes!! The Black Prism!! Its one of my all time favourites! 😊 💕
I didn't start drinking coffee until I started my internship for my degree so I feel you on this one.
This has to be my favourite book tag, I haven't read most of these books but many are on my TBR
I'm currently reading Burial Rites and I completely agree. Not a lot is happening but the story still seems to move really quickly and it's not at all boring.
Dear Regan,
I love hot chocolate and Howl's Moving castle too. Embracing our own "childish" moments and carrying them through life is what makes everyone special, so keep at what your doing. And continue to be an inspiration.
Love,
Sona
Going into this video, I felt like a traitor because I was drinking tea while watching a coffee book tag, so I was quite thankful for the tea section at the end lol
I LOVE Howl's Moving Castle!!! It's my favorite book ever!! I'm so happy you know what it is because I've never met anyone else who's read it!! AAHH I'm so happy now -Katie
Lol coincidentally, I also did the coffee book tag today too! Although I think someone added the tea questions at a later point, because the list that I used only had the first 8 questions...
The Black Prism sounds really cool!
I've never heard of My True Love Gave to Me - sounds cute.
With Song of Ice and Fire, the first book took me longest but the rest took less than a week each, but I really enjoy epic "historical" style writing, eg things like The Odyssey, and with SOIAF, I loved how much history is included and feel that analysing the events of the past is key to understanding the now. I started to watch the show but couldn't get through Season 2 because I was so invested in the characters in the book that I did not enjoy the show at all. Maybe it depends if you watched the show first or read the books first, which you end up preferring.
lmao yes it indeed does change when you work full time, i feel you.
Regan!! When you read Illuminae, listen to the audiobook while reading the book. I firmly believe that is the best way to get sucked into the story. Some pages are difficult to follow due to the format but the audiobook makes up for that especially in the fight scenes. I also think the audiobook makes it easier to learn the characters since there are quite a few.
ooooooooo Black Prism sounds so cool o.O
YES I FEEL YOU ON ILLUMINAE, IT'S EVERYWHERE
Howl's Moving Castle is such a good book and movie, even if you're not a kid! I read/watched for the first time as an adult and both are favorites
Gosh. I just love all your videos.
Regan! I honestly love your videos so much and I always get so excited when you upload haha
You are so intelligent and I love the books that you recommend! :)
I feel pretty much the exact same way about Illuminae. I feel like I'd really enjoy it, but I just havent gotten around to reading it yet and it feels like I am the LAST PERSON ON THE PLANET. I'm glad I'm not so alone after all.
I definitely want to do this tag because I cannot live without coffee haha. And I love howls moving castle!
I agree with you about The Burial RItes by Hannah Kent. First of all, let me just say that I read that book because of you and I have to say it's one of my favorite book of all time. On plot wise, not many things happen but the story is so powerful and I keep thinking about Agnes Magnusdottir. Her character is so powerful and it touch me. Thanks for recommend that book Regan.
illuminae is such a great read!
I hadn't heard of this tag!! But I *love* it! :)
YESSS! I like this tag and I love coffee :)
I love your glasses so much! I don't have glasses and I really love them... I guess it's good I don't need them, but they're so cute! And I REALLY love yours! If I ever need glasses I wanna a pair like that. Wow, this was a really off topic rant.
Finally someone who likes The Black Prism! Yay!
I've owned The Nightingale way too long to have not picked it up yet. Haven't heard a bad review yet.
I really really want to read The Black Prism. It sounds like it would be right up my alley! This TAG also sounds really interesting. :D
Aah I just finished The Nightingale and it is now in my top 5 favorite books. I cried happy and sad tears. So good!!
Love your glasses! idk if I could rock red glasses
Cool video! I love it!
Definitely read Illuminae whenever you get the chance! :) I felt the same way about Shadow & Bone! I did also really enjoyed Six of Crows so I'm very excited for the sequel!
sandyreadsalot Leigh Bardugo's writing definitely improved between the grisha trilogy and the Six of Crows duology.
I think my jaw dropped when you said you don't really like the Grisha Trilogy! lmao it's one of my favorites ever, but at least we can both agree that Six of Crows was absolutely fantastic!!!!!
I have really been wanting to read Illuminae but I'm intimidated by the unique writing style hahaha
I feel the same about Illuminae!
My reactions the same.. I love the Grisha Trilogy
don't let the unique style intimated you at all. I felt the same way and when I finally read it I fell in love.
I need to read Nightingale soon!!! probably in the fall.
Love A Song Of Ice and Fire :) it's the best. Beats the hell out of YA fantasy though.
you should do a video about the kind of music you listen to while you read!!
i love your channel
Black Prism sounds soo good but I have so many other books in my TBR :(
i really i liked the first book shadow and bones.
Super fun video!!
Loved this video!!
I adore "Howl's Moving Castle." The movie is also excellent! Sophie is one of my favorite characters. Have you read "Castle in the Air" or "House of Many Ways"?
Game of Thrones though, those books are super hard to read, but oh my gosh those fans are loyal.
the game of thrones series is hard to push through but very freaking interesting once you are into it.
lets both be children...I only have hot chocolate at a coffee shop haha
my gf (who i lowkey forced into reading six of crows because it's my favourite book) says that she didn't like shadow and bone because of the characters. i've yet to read the grisha trilogy and i'm so hesitant because i dont wanna be disappointed by a book in one of my favourite worlds!
I much preferred the night angel trilogy by Brent weeks. Could not put that down.
i am intimidated by the black prism's size... but i really want to read it
ARE YOU KIDDING ME, Regan, you haven't read Illuminae??? Please please please read it soon. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Omg! I'm reading a Brent Weeks book right now! It's called Way of the Shadow(s?)
I just finished "I'll give you the sun" by Jandy Nelson and now my emotions are like rubber. ~~~(@@)~~~

I think you'd really like 11/22/63 by Stephen King. I'm currently reading it and I'm loooooving it!
I love how almost all these answers are fantAsy books! If i ever need a recommendation then i know where to look :-)
READ ILLUMINAE!
you should check out The Tigers Saga by Collen Houck.
I work in a coffee shop, and I still pretty much only drink hot chocolate. I really need to read illuminae, it sound so good from what Ive heard. And was it just my headphones or did anyone else get weird feedback a certain points in the video
read Fevre dream by G.R.R. Martin if you haven't, it is amazing and about vampires and so much better read than Game of Thrones! Also much shorter :D
I'm surprised you didn't like shadow and bone it was so good
what job do you have
should i read shadow and time? i LOVED six of crows, it's possibly my new favourite book and i've been looking for the grisha trilogy.
For me, the books that disappointed me was the Wrath & the Dawn duology. I felt the writing wasn't fully fleshed out and REALLY lacked description. I couldn't see what was going on most of the time, and I was disappointed by the ending of the second book. It was predictable.
You're so cute, Regan!! I always love watching your videos, and I love how playful and lighthearted this tag is ^.^
You should pick up The Lost Flowers Of Alice Hart
Inheritance is a cycle. Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance. Or is this a different series?
You haven't read Illuminae? o_O
oh no! you must! It's AMAZING :)
can you do the Sims book tag plz?? , love you :)
Nice style though cores hair
I've tried reading Illuminae and I just can't,
So you got the advertising job? Congrats!
I knew Shadow and Bone was coming and I was crying before it came up xD
Did you ever finish the Wonda series?
have you ever read the Celestine prophecy?
Game of Thrones is SO GOOD. But the show is good too. I tried reading Illuminae but I didn't really like it.
link for the free book where
Is howl's moving castle originally a book?
Patricia Batubara yeah, it is ✨
I have a question. What books are right above Cinda's Heir series?
it's the pathfinder trilogy by orson scott card!
What was the sound around 6:57 sounded like water or a camera shutter?
I think her dog shook himself, it sounds like a collar rattling 😁
I have not read illuminae either. I own it because the cover is amazing but the format is intimidating to me. Im sure I'll get to it eventually.
I am jelous of that books!!!
Drinking coffee while watching this. Anyone else does that too? :D
Great video. I love hot chocolate like you - hazelnut hot choc from Starbucks is so good.
Would you say people who love Sanderson's writing would like The Lightbringer series?
I haven't read Lightbringer, but the magic based on light and color really reminds of Warbreaker by Sanderson and it would be nice a different author's take on that type of magic (which is a very cool magic system, that I really haven't heard much of), so I think its worth a try (I want to read it eventually).
+Natalia Solís Okay! I actually have yet to read Warbreaker. I've read the entire mistborn series though. But I do own 9 of his books (because I loved mistborn that much).
So far, I've only read the original Mistborn trilogy and Warbreaker, but I do plan to continue reading the rest of it, he's a great author!
+Natalia Solís He is! You can definitely tell how much effort he puts into his work and I just love it! I hope to read Warbeaker relatively soon and Elantris and even eventually his Stormlight Archive series (which is massive but looks great).
personally I LOVE Brandon Sanderson - I've read 7 of his novels (and plan on reading all of them!) and I adore his writing and pacing and ideas. But, I have tried Brent Weeks' Night Angel and Lightbringer series and I personally cannot get into them at all because I find his writing very mediocre and childish - which sucks cause his books do have incredible plotlines! But, as you asked about writing, Brandon Sanderson (in my opinion of course) is miles above Brent Weeks in writing and pacing.
Of course, try out Brent Weeks if you want! But I definitely wouldn't compare him to BS!
2nd
do you have any good suggestions for romantic tragedy books aside from Nicholas Sparks
all the bright places by Jennifer Niven and when we collided by emery lord are ones you might enjoy, I adore both of them.
Do they have an overarching romantic thing with tragedy in the end
+Shawn Aguirre both of them do if that's what you're looking for, they are heartbreaking but beautiful
+Rhiannon Anderson oh yes those will be perfect any more suggestions?!
+Shawn Aguirre the clearing by heather Davis and Belzhar by Meg wolitzer and also we were liars by E Lockhart. hope this helps! :)
This the chick from vetra me and christy mack was like she doesn't talk much..odd
any thrillers?
You haven't read Illuminae? o_O
oh no! you must! It's AMAZING :)
