Those thick old fantasy books are MY fantasy lol. I find it interesting that you decided to start collecting the Brandon Sanderson books in American editions. The English editions are so much prettier to me that I've actually purposefully avoided buying any Brandon Sanderson books with my B&N gift cards so that I could get them from Book Depository in the other editions.

  • @WTFate

I'll miss your red glasses :(.
And don't worry about the fact that The Way of Kings is just 1 book out of a planned 10. Each book will most likely be as big as the first two (around 1000 pages), and Sanderson will just keep coming out with books in-between. The Stormlight books are really fun to think and speculate about, and I think you will really like them! It has a lot of worldbuilding (which I don't usually like) but the characters and the climax -which was amazing even by his standards - are worth the beast of a book. I think you'll be obsessed with Kaladin after you read it too lol

I acquired way too many books to list in a comment this month... around 20 books. 15 of those books I bought at a book sale at one of the library branches (only two or three of those books were actual library books that had been purged from circulation... the rest donated to the library for future book sales, thus no pesky library stickers) for only $10 since all 15 books fit in the paper grocery bag they give you to fill up. The majority of the 15 books I bagged were books I already had on my TBR list that I just haven't bought yet because I'm a bargain book hunter (why spend full price when there are so many bargains that regularly rotate which books they mark down, even newer books). It's for that reason that I feel no guilt whatsoever about acquiring so many books this month since most of the books I've acquired were already marked as TBR. I'm finally able to get some of those books knocked off of my huge TBR now.
