Love the honesty, not taking the PR line. Go brooks
100% agreed. at 00:15 as soon as he went right into it and went "yeah" and didnt really hesitate as all, i loved it and grew a huge newfound respect for brooks. he is one of my favorite players on tour after seeing how real of a person he is in this interview. this is what we need for the future of the tour, not a sterilized jordan speith version where players are on their best PR behavior
SWAYYYY DOING GOLF INTERVIEWS I’ve died and gone to heaven best of both of my worlds!!!!
I saw his hat and was like that's Sway in the fucking morning doing golf interviews. There is a god..
Codey Snow my exact reaction lmao
@Paulonbass75 Brilliant addition to the conversation. Thank you for that
Right!!!!!!
Sway is a joke and so are all those other radio show hosts
Man this is the first I've heard of this I need to hear it about a thousand more times so I get it...
Its called being honest ... NOT SNITCHING !
Truth
Sounded like he was interviewing a rapper or gang banger not a PGA touring pro. You know the sand pits and snitching....wtf?
@@user-ni3sp5mz4u it was the iterviewer .. think he works for a big radio rap channel .. think its called shay 45.. street talk .. snitches get stitches ..
There's no snitching in golf it's either you're playing by the rules or you're a fucking cheater
Exactly!! Golf is a gentleman’s game.. Integrity & character is something Pactrick Reed will never have...
How much does integrity mean to each and every individual ? If you have, it’s priceless !
"You'd as well praise me for not robbing banks. There's only one way to play this game."
-Bobby Jones, after he lost the US Open after calling a one stroke penalty on himself that nobody saw.
I heard Jones was an honest decent person.
Thank you.
I don't play very good, But I do play by the rules! Plus, I always dress nice! :)
From the greatest golfer who ever lived (by a million miles).
@@koba9204 I’m the opposite. I don’t follow a single rule. I just get out there and whack it around the course, write down my 117, and head to the house.
No snitching here, there’s a whole lot of truth telling. Much appreciated
Christian Windum There’s no snitching because he was already caught, guy.
@@cwg73160 exactly, its not snitching when the whole thing was on camera and you can watch it on youtube
@@mrsir1872 It's not snitching, period. You're in a tournament competing against the other golfers, why would you let them cheat? In any competitive sport you'd get called out by the opposing team or player if you broke the rules. Lol imagine someone saying "Don't be a snitch, let me cheat against you."
Love Brooks!!!!!
The best part of LIV is I never have to see Brooks or Patrick again.
Couldn't agree more, let them play exhibition golf......
What a dumb comment. I do hope you NEVER get the chance to watch/attend a single LIV event. The way the pga tour is being run, in just a few years ( or sooner) people like you will have no golf to watch other than usga events. When your idols like Spieth, Sheffler, JT, Schauffle, Rory sign with LIV because there's no where other than DP to play. LMFAO😂😂😂😂
love this guy.
Not sure when Koepka was appointed to being the spokesperson for correcting things that are wrong within the game of golf but I’m sure pleased that he accepted the position.
It’s about time someone on the tour grew a pair; well done Brooksy!
He was appointed the moment the interviewer asked the question 👍
Brooks Koepka is a reasonable man! That's right. That's right, guys? "Yes!" So, put the knife down. Brooks, look at me. Put the knife down. Brooks
You’re supposed to “snitch” in golf. If not, you’re complicit in signing an incorrect scorecard. Go back to MTV2 bro
The funny thing is its not even snitching its telling the truth and being honest
Brooks gives zero F’s and I love it.
hes a jerk that thinks he should get more attention than others because he won those majors .hasent done much since. he whines like a 10 year old . he snitches on others to make himself look good . pathetic . i do love to watch him play tho.
@@oldmcdonald9582 snitching isn't being honest and moral. cheating losers don't belong in a gentleman's sport like golf. period.
"Patrick Reed Cheating Golf" is the first result when I search for "patrick"
Even before the Spongebob character ? That's the most impressive feat from this low-class cheater ;-)
Me too. Lol
Yeah still. Deservedly so
“In the sand pit” 😂
Why is Sway interviewing Brooks? Sand Pit?? Is he going have Brooks do the 5 Fingers of Death freestyle , give me a beat!!!
hahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahah
Best comment
Reed has a history of this going back a long way as many players have been calling him out.
The tour needs warn him of suspension and massive fines. Beyond that, there should be clear rules of when a player loses tour card if abuse continues.
This cannot be tolerated !!! anymore .
What long history is this? Every shot he plays is filmed and has spectators watching.
Virtually every player has been accused of cheating and had shots deducted.
@@goatlpsNo, spectators do not have a very close view of the lie since in most venues they are outside the ropes. Is it any wonder that he improved his lie far away from the ropes in a bunker framed with thick brush?
Moreover, his college coaches and team mates' hinting at his lack of integrity ( well before the most recent incident ) is NOT the norm for others. Most players are not accused on a consistent basis like that pillsbury doughboy, reed.
Additionally , tour players , tv commentators, and finally, the camera have picked up on his cheating and pathetic blatant lies ( forgive the pun) at justification.
He has won a few times on tour, but one who has been tagged a cheater at every level by coaches, teammates, tour players, tv analysts and commentators . When multiple independent sources point to the same cheater, it is preponderance of evidence, and when the camera picks it up, it is an open and shut case. So, you should shut your mouth because you have no case - only low iq ignoramus bloviating nonsense. CASE CLOSED.
People who bloviate are LOW IQ.
You bloviate.
Therefore, you are LOW IQ.
Agreed 100% it’s not Patrick’s fault.
It’s all those damn cameras and Commentators Believing what they See .. rather than what Patrick says!
best thing to happen to the game....brooks keopka!! he,s never short on an opinion and doesn,t care who he upsets when he gives it!!
finally a fellow player not afraid to speak the truth on this 🙌
how does he know . did he see it? if reed is such a cheat ,why do all the players like him? i would not like someone who cheats and takes money out of my pocket . and kostis is just a bitter old man who wasent very good anyway
My mans SWAY!!!!!
Glad to hear this level of player call it like it is.
Now standing on the tee representing the USA Patrick Reed and Brooks Keopka
Honest commentary
The host calling him a Snitch!? That's outrageous!
Asks the question, gets a very honest answer then accuses him of betrayal...
The interviewer knows NOTHING about golf!
@IzzyFizzy can you translate that into English?
@@MrRyanxdavey lol..
A snitch for being honest sounds about right from the interviewers community. How can you ask someone a question he answers then you call him a snitch? Not a fan of koepka definitely not a fan of this bum interviewing him.
It’s called a joke but never miss an opportunity to spout racist shit on the internet. SMH
Kudos to Brooks most fellow professionals would sit on the fence but he said it how he sees it! 👍🏻
I'm of the mindset I wouldn't air out my "co-workers" dirty laundry on air or in the public. If I did have any issue with a "co-worker" I'd talk to them face to face in private. No mics involved.
@@gullybop1695 that's a very valid point, but in the same token Reed cheats in a public forum therefore cheating us fans..
But argument for all sides I guess:)
@@rafa5d lol! I hear ya...he cheats in public..true. but I still wouldn't openly criticize. And again if I felt I had to address it I'd do it privately. I feel strongly about that.
“Brooks is gonna snitch” lol
Exposing people isn’t snitching. This culture of staying silent is what’s oppressive.
Love his honesty.... no point trying to make excuses
Wheres the rest of the interview? Would be great to hear Bs Round 2 w Sway
It’s called Honesty and Integrity.. Something that very few have these days.. They’ve preferred winning by cheating...
“Winter rules”.
If they gain a shot its the ripple affect. Its could alter the cut and be the difference between a tour pro losing there card or retaining there tour card
Interesting that Brooks said he’s seen some things and held his tongue and it happens more often than we think. Now think about Tiger, who’s had practically every one of his shots televised over his entire career , even when he’s been well out of contention and there’s been, what, 1 instance when his ball moved a centimeter and he didn’t call a penalty on himself, plus every time he plays there are thousands of people watching him. If John Doe is playing 6 groups ahead of him, not one of his shots will make it onto tv and he might have about 5 people watching him. If John wants to cheat, he could and most likely nobody would ever know.
@Mathieu FortGay I figured somebody would bring up dropping from the place. Are you referring to the Masters? I forget what year it was. He didn’t know the rule, simple as that. That’s not cheating, that’s just being ignorant. It got sorted out, he took his penalty and proceeded. As far PEDS, where’s your proof of that?
Personally I just think Rahm is a “thick” guy. I don’t know what he looked like when he was younger, but now he just looks like a big dude. Big ass. Big legs, etc. Wikipedia says he’s 6 ft 2, 220 lbs. Wikipedia says that Justin Rose is 6 ft 3, 195 lbs. Just two completely different body types. If Rahm lost 25 lbs I don’t know what that that would do to his game.
@@Whoopdido777
Honestly, if Rahm dropped 25 pounds, then he would weigh in at the 220 that wikapedia says he is now.
@Mathieu FortGay Funny how Tiger was winning 10 tournaments a year when he was still a skinny stick.
It's a game of honor, integrity, and honesty. This is not poker. Golf is not a sport for angle shooting.
Brooks 👍
I like Brooks
Swae called it the sand pit. Lol I love swae
I know a guy (great golfer back in the day) that missed getting his PGA card through Q School because of a self imposed penalty on the 17 th hole of the final day. Missed qualifying by one shot. He never got that close again.
Yeah that never happened
Whoa Jimmy S...that's kind of sad. Smh....
ok jimbo... good ain
Never happened
Breaking The Rules is a very nice thoroughbred, btw, if you get the chance get a bet down. I have never improved a lie in 20 years of playing public golf often completely by myself. Golf is about scoring. I don't want a score I didn't earn. And that is the guiding principle for me. And this element of the game is what makes it such a worthy endeavor, imo.
A guy who’s willing to say what he thinks publicly. Good for him.
I lost a tournament by 1 shot cos I called a penalty on myself, that no one else seen. Lost about $1000 cos of it but at the end of the day I can sleep at night np at all. You cheat at golf you’re only cheating yourself.
Good man.
Curious, what was the penalty you committed?
Not really though you do cheat the field not only yourself if one player shoots a better score cheating it changes the winnings of the other players
That's golf. Integrity, only game where you can call penalties on yourself. And you have to call it, because even when no one is watching or you think no one noticed....somebody did. And you can never go back and change it, you will be known as someone who cheats. Simple as that. The same way I putt all my gimmies, I dont want anyone thinking I dont putt out. And my score is always honest and know where I stand. 11 handicap at the moment
Good for you brother. Unfortunately people like that have been doing it most of their lives so the guilt is pushed way down into justifications and reasons into why it’s ok
YO YO YO DIS IS SWAAAAAY!!!!
Golf is a game of honour, a test of a persons true self.
A real dude.
No Brooks, just tell us how you really feel. LMAO
Now I have come to the crossroads in my life. I always knew what the right path was. Without exception, I knew. But I never took it. You know why? It was too damn hard. Now here's Brooks. He's come to the crossroads. He has chosen a path. It's the right path. It's a path made of principle -- that leads to character. Let him continue on his tourney.
Aged well
Somebody should take a Flamethrower to this comment
@@imtheman4805 Wooowaaah!
As I came in here, I heard those words, "cradle of leadership." Well, when the bough breaks, the cradle will fall.
Patrick Reed is the judge in caddyshack.
Good for you Brookers! PGA should have an official embedded in Reed's group at every event.
They need to interview players on the European tour regarding Patrick Reed. There're are players on the European tour who won't play with him and a lot of the players who do play with him won't sign his score card.
They have to sign his card. You can’t just not sign a card. You can not sign it initially until whatever situation is resolved but there will be 2 signatures on the card for a score to be posted.
There are plenty of people who play the game without knowing or caring about the rules.
Also even if you see someone do something it's really tough to go and confront the person about it. Any form of confrontation really messes with your adrenaline and heart rate and makes it impossible for you to play well afterwards. Cheaters tend to be used to that and even thrive on it. Patrick's ryder cup matches certainly seem to show that.
Snitch? No, son. This isn't Compton. We aren't in prison. It's called honesty.
Brooks is a beast.
Does sway golf?? Need to know
He did the same thing in the US Open that just passed at Winged foot, there is clear footage of it
Who did the same thing?
@@belshbelsh6962 The cheater, Patrick Reed look it up in CZcams, Patrick Reed at Winged Foot
@@thechado7868 Didn't know if u meant Rory or the cheater. Will look, thankyou.
@@belshbelsh6962 let me know what you think knowing everything else and that also
@@thechado7868Looked at the Winge Foot footage. Damning to be honest. It looks like to me he just can't help himself. He convinces himself he's done nothing wrong. Big mental problem. At least Keopka called him out. The problem won't disappear until other players call him out, and commentators. They do a great job at skirting around the issue. As for Reeds caddie. Really don't know how he lives with himself. No matter how much I would earn from him I just couldn't caddie for a cheat. He should be investicated for being complicit in the cheating.
Snitching is not part of golf when the rules are involved. Brooks is the genuine article; he's not trying to be anything other than who he is, and he is truly a great player.
Playing by the rules is good sportsmanship.
its one of those things its one of those things its one of those things its one of those things its one of those things
Burk but you know, it’s just one of those things
Burk, it's one of those things, it is.
They're all out there trying to win the same tournament, it's not snitching, it's being truthful and fair to everyone else competing.
Everyone hates Patrick Reed - not for just for cheating, and it sounds justified.
i dont hate reed . i love to watch him play .the reason he gets in so much trouble is because hes honest in answering questions , while these other golfers give sanitized answers . but i do feel that reed has got a problem with that wife of his . she s not a nice person from what ive seen
I guess you think your opinion is golden? You think a lot of yourself. 😂
Brooks was pretty open and honest
Start calling them out and protecting the integrity of the game
What integrity? This guy is on a PGA radio show, and video...with his hat on backwards. Integrity, pfft...
@@praetorian7861 Integrity is wearing your hat the "right way"? That's a low bar.
@@stephendanley1858 Wearing your hat the right way? Y'all are ridiculous. He's on his own time and he can wear what he wants, when he wants, any way he wants. Wearing a hat the right way is your guys prerogative. It could be different if he was a baseball player and not a catcher, but that's a whole different story. And he's not playing MLB. He's not on even on the course. No one hated on Stewart or Rickie for wearing funny pants. Don't hate the player, hate the game, unless you're caught cheating. Brooks was asked a question. He answered it. Don't disrespect cause you don't like the answer. Your negative energy should be directed to the people, Reed, disrespecting the game.
@@ryansones1626 I can see that you aren't illiterate, so either you lack reading comprehension or you're just dense. Here's a few things from my post that might serve as clues: 1. My post was a reply to Marc Tebo and is signified as such by the @Marc Tebo that begins my post. 2. I was questioning Marc Tebo about the standard of integrity that he subscribes to, which he implied was wearing your hat correctly. This is signified by the ? at the end. That is called a question mark. In English, that means the preceding sentence was meant as a question. 3. I put "right way" in quotation marks. In English, this usually means that the writer is quoting someone or something.
Look before you leap.
Stephen Danley sorry thought I was replying to Marc Tebo
If he’s cheating with camera on him what’s he doing off camera???
Well say Brooks
Brooks is a certified G
@Capt Fathom you must be a Patrick Reed fan boi.
Brooks is a breath of fresh air, for the sport of Golf. So many other players are afraid to speak out about Patrick Reed, Brooks doesn’t have that PC filter. Reed has cheated a few times. Golf analyst Peter Kostos said he has seen Reed cheat in four different tournaments.
Reeds short game is top 5 in the game.
Reed broke a rule and got penalized. I don’t see how people calling him a cheater helps the game. I do think Reed needs to be watched closely for a while, to see if he does something similar again.
Best comment in have heard Brooks say.
Why call him a snitch? He said he would say something to that individual not tell on them.
Because he was trying to make a joke and bring the seriousness level of the interview down a notch....And he's prob from the hood where snitches get stitches and all that lol
If it was a joke, it’s a poor joke. Brooks has a valid point that “breaking the rules” aka cheating should not be tolerated in the sport or any sport for that matter. More power to him for wanting to call someone on their BS. You know what I mean?
@@anthonybermudez8807 Yeah, good on him for callin it out. Reed was definitely making dodgey sand castles and knew he was cheating. And I wasn't trying to defend the interviewers stupid comment and start a YT comments fight lol. Just saying that's prob why he made the stupid comment/ joke to try and lighten the mood a little. I don't think he expected the answer to be quite so direct and scathing even though he asked if he thought he was cheating and obviously was. So I'm not sure what answer he expected to get from that question lol :-)
Well said. 🙂
Well the tour has a walrus, a shark, a golden bear , a tiger ... Why not add a CHEETAH
"I didn't cheat, I just broke the rules." Welcome to 21st century America.
He said something like there is no proof unless the cameras actually catch it. Makes u wonder how often Reed really does this without anyone noticing. I'd imagine he does it often but what do I know
There's a new sheriff in town, good for Brooks calling it as he see it, Reeds a cheater .
I never saw Tom Watson push grass down like John Rahm does.
Clearly, he is an honourable and decent man. I've seen similar to the instances he's mentioned (the winner of the UK PGA at Wentworth did that '3 wood' trick on the 17th of the final round a few years ago) but, given the difficulty of proof, all you can do is maintain your own standards and know that you can sleep at night.
I'm looking forward to seeing Brooks have some really great contests in the coming years and appreciate that any record he creates will not be tarnished by his behaviour.
Peter Kelly what’s the 3 wood trick if you don’t mind me asking?
It’s when you take out a three wood and set up to the shot, placing the club on the ground behind the ball - thus flattening the grass.
You then ‘change your mind’ and hit an iron, from an obviously improved lie.
Some people think Faldo did this in the 96 Masters on the 13th hole.
MrAJR76 thanks for the explanation!
A snitch??? Wise up you just lost everyone’s respect right there. Brooks just called it how it’s is. There’s no place for cheating in any sport especially when honest athletes are working their ass off to make a living.
Well said!
Yes, protecting the field should not be deemed snitching.
"Unlisted"?
Just saw a comment below that said basically, "So he touched the sand, it doesn't make any difference." Doesn't make any difference?!! It makes a huge difference when you flake back the sand from the back of your ball so your club makes cleaner contact..and in golf, that's cheating, that's improving your lie, and he's done it before. I can't wait for the day Reed tries the "it was the camera angle, people are just watching me" crap on the wrong player and they just knock him out...on live tv....while in a match. Koepka might be the one to do it. Now that I would pay to see! Koepka to Reed on live tv, "You're just a cheating sack of S***."
Really love Brooks , great player with integrity and swagger
Man has integrity. Only cops and drug dealers think he’s a snitch.
Brooks ain’t going to snitch. He’s going to hold you accountable to the integrity that you agreed to follow when you started playing golf! And if you don’t like that. Then quit.
Olive Branch Tree Care that’s a great way of putting it.
Integrity? He's "hat on backwards guy", and you talk about integrity...
N wats wrong wit that backwards?
@@chriskusek7822 thank you for proving my point 😅
Marc Tebo you make no sense. Reed has been caught cheating in college and on the pga more then once. Brookes wears his hat backwards on an interview, not the course. So what’s the problem? Reed is a cheater, Brookes is not. Integrity is in tact.
Like you know, yeah he did.
I like brooks, I like him giving his honest opinion of Reed
As a golfer we know right from wrong
I wonder who the “guy in the us open” is...
Brooks knows when he touches sand..
I know when I touch cloth..
It’s when I’m stood over a 3ft birdie putt😉😉🤣🤣
The rule should be changed, as it is not working. The bounce aspect should be deleted, as if the ball gets imbedded after bouncing it means that the ground is too soft, so that relieve is justified. For example, the ball can land on a rock and bounce high and gets imbedded after landing from the high bounce, if the ground is very soft from excess water after heavy rains, so that too-soft ground is the cause. This is like when the ball can bounce and roll into casual water, and get relieve when the causal water rule is in effect due to heavy rains and flooding. The rule should also be changed to require fellow players and/or referees to witness and verify that the ball is imbedded before the ball is touched (for competitive play) which is the common practice.
Brooks couldn't wait to answer that question 🤣🤣🤣
He was jus ‘playing in the sandpit’!
I like the hell outta this guy! He calls it like it is. What's Reed gonna say? He cheated! Bruce be like " hey you gotta problem with me calling you a cheater when you cheated, let's settle it. I am now a fan of Bruce...
Brooks knows.
Brooks is honest and I like that about him . Doesn’t bs or hide anything
Wonder if you break the speed limit or blow red lights?
Rap interviews to golf
Golf has some weird rules. But rules are rules. As for another player calling out an infraction on another player it’s not snitching.
Lol hahahaha Reed.
There's a lot of talk about honor and it's certainly true but it's actually a practical consideration with golf. The playing field is so vast and the competitors are so distanced from one another that there's no way to officiate. If guys can't be trusted to police themselves the whole thing falls apart.
Does sway play golf
The "sand pit?"
“We bought our tongue a lot”
