Dragonmancer is a new Prestige skin for Rakan that was released in January 2024. This Prestige LOL skin features a brand new set of visual effects for Rakan, as well as a total makeover of his looks.
Prestige Dragonmancer Rakan costs 125 Mythic essence, and can be purchased from the League of Legends store.

The Base version of Dragonmancer is superior. He looks like a freaking super hero who’s about to fight a dragon… but Prestige looks like a knock off Broken Covenant/Heartseeker skin.

You’ve probably answered this before in the past, but what are your favorite skins, and what do you think are objectively the best skins? Do the categorizations intersect?
Good question! I'd say, objectively the best skins are those that offer features of a higher tier. Say, an Epic skin with a custom HG, death and respawn animations. A good example would be BQ Kata who includes 6 dagger variations, making her almost an ultimate skin at the price of a legendary one. That and of course how good the VFX, SFX and model are, whether they're unique, etc. Now subjectively, i'm a huge fan of SG and coven skins. What about you?
@@BuyOrBye I’ll be honest - I started watching your videos after my playtime of League dropped significantly, and as a f2p player who never really paid attention to skins and design, I was just happy with a skin as long as I owned/could play with it, especially if it was a champion I would play a lot in ranked or ARAM! My standards for play certainly don’t match what I experience watching your breakdowns of champion skins (which I really love!). I own battle queen and project Katarina skins though, and since she was my most favorite champion to play, I’ll just choose those skins for now and be happy :3

For Cait's and Ahri's ASUs they didn't touch or alter their legendaries at all and i doubt they would change an ultimate skin :/
One time we had an ultimate skin being improved lately, was with Udyr's one. And he had a whole champion rework, not just an asu :c

they would have done him much justice if they made his basic dragonmancer skin the pristege, with hommage to Zayah's pristege last year to match her, and instead do the pristege DM skin as a rakan-styled Elvis P. his skin doesn't look him at all like you said.

Hi, im a Rakan OTP and dont play the game much only with friends from time to time. Never had a battlepass or anything of that sort. I would like to buy this skin but i only have 50 of the Purple currency. How can i get the skin?
you can just save up the mythic essence for the next time this skin will be in the mythic shop if you're f2p & that surely will take time. i recommend buying bp tho, it's faster (2200 tokens are lvl 45-50) and won't be expensive in terms of rp like buying masterwork chests and stacking rewards from every 5 opened

@@0v3rSky yep, bp is the best way. i'm not sure how soon the skin will return though, maybe it won't even go away before next bp (heavenscale)

Exactly! He looks good, but not dragonmancer-y, effects are fine, but for a more expensive variants, this skin makes me sad since I'm a rakan main :( , I grind a bought anyway, but use only once since then. Also, I don't know why they give him black hair, doesn't really fit our colorful boy :

What ruined this skin was the hair, if they had put *long* hair in it, it would have been perfect...
but anyway, he's hot
As a Rakan main, I'm very disappointed. I'll have to pass on this skin. Regular Dragonmacer feels more prestige than his actual prestige. I'm honestly better off using Broken Covenant Rakan for the same experience.
It's just me, or the original looks more prestigious than the prestige, ironically.
