- Superbo theme by Walter Scharf for Phil Karlson's 1973 smash hit ''Walking Tall''.
Maestro Scharf was mostly known for providing scores to several Jerry Lewis films and for penning the Michael Jackson song ''Ben"" for the 1972 follow up to the rat-epic ''Willard''. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

Always love watching this when I was just a little girl
Just watched this movie today on tape. When i was younger; I loved walking tall and what he stood for. Absolutely incorruptible!!!
Read a few books on the matter. Pusser never walked tall at all. He was a criminal who hid behind a badge, taking payoffs. Read some of the articles by Cammy Wilson.
Buford Pusser, a real American hero - a legend!
Scumbag never walked tall. He was a criminal hiding behind a badge.
We need more Buford Pusser's in the World, so sad yet so inspiring . Lost his wife then his life . He stood up to corruption and tried to make his community a better one!
Hell yeah
Wonderful to hear this in high-quality stereo. No soundtrack album was released and in theaters the film was mono optical. The HD version on Amazon Prime also has the music in stereo, looking and sounding better than it did in the theater. That’s one great thing about the 21st century.
*The Legend Will Never Die*
I just wish that we could go back in time miss all of the good movie like this, grew up around Walking Tall😢❤
I love this theme Music from The Movie,The Walking Tall!!! It's a beautiful Music!!!
Fabulous movie I saw the sequel liked Jon Don Baker's better. The one with the Rock was just PLAIN AWFUL!
I so loved this movie and this song!
Had to do a report one year in school and choose Buford Pusser the true man of the people
I was 12 Years Old Great Film Love the Music
I played this driving on the Oregon coast on a perfect rainy fall day
All time favorite film the movie at times was, brutal, coldblooded, ruthless but the music opening theme and Johnny Mathis just truly haunting and poignant and next to elvis the best song I've ever heard effects me to this day and saw walking tall back in 1974 and it and the legend of buford pusser effects me to this day.
Life was so much better in America back then.
Excellent, have been looking for a good clear version of this for years...
Walter Scharf was an excellent arranger and composer, especially in his later years. Here again he demonstrates an uncanny ability to mold an emotional glove to the story. You can hear his influence on John Williams' "The Towering Inferno" a short time later. Curiously, the lyrics of the end title song by Don Black (sung by Johnny Mathis) fit these uncertain political times. First rate Hollywood scoring at its best.
well said, sir.
One of a few true legends sad how a man can be ridiculed for doing right. It only confirms the type of world we all live in people will hate and even kill you for doing the right thing and defending others. 😢God bless us all.
Uplifting.
Absolutely wonderful melody- ❤️ from India
Awesome
The '70s weren't All Bad : )

Fantastic theme!! This music should be released on LP or CD...
When illegal moonshiners hear this theme, they start to shake in their boots.
Yes!!! I’ve been looking for this for years!
Great movie. The nostalgia too.
When 1st saw walking tall in 1974 thought the movie was gonna suck especially when saw lief garrett and his sister dawn lynn because they were always in sappy corny sugary tv and films when i left the theater that night i was transformed 50 years this year and still my all time favorite never knew being wrong and uninformed could be so good.
I truly loved the movie Buford stood for justice and good law maybe some should take a stand as he did I respect this man in ways no one else may but he was killed because he stood for the law God Bless my friend
✨💎
Love this soundtrack, I've tried to buy a copy but can't find it anywhere. Would love to get an mp3 copy if anyone knows where I could get one.
I am the man who walked tall. This song is about my true life which I am but kicking Indiana fire captain who fights against crime & fires.
He was not just another 3 street savior.
Onawa iowa has a corked law deputy and his name is Kevin uneny
Who else misses the 70's? It seems each decade the US becomes worse.
