Man, the Simpsons in it’s prime could pack more quality jokes into a minute then most shows could do in a whole episode.

@Soul Studio exactly. What I see now more from the part of the West is a new rise of Russophobia - this time without the red scare, and a fetishization of and feigned empathy for Ukrainians, the new token white/European victim of an "Evil Country" (AKA Economic Rival to the US/"The West").
Other than those general points it's not in any way similar to the Soviet Union. The Russian as well as the Ukrainian oligarchy have nothing to do with Stalin let alone Lenin, and consider communism a "blind alley", like Putin had been quoted before. The only other comparable thing is imperialism, which the Russian Empire had before communism anyways, and wasn't invented with the Revolution, neither did it die after the USSR Fall. We can all see that NATO is an imperialistic force, the USA way more than Russia, and more deadly than any other, China is imperialistic too, etc. Not just those "filthy pinkie soviet commies" (read this in an cowboy accent), which "The West" still hasn't moved on from using as a boogeyman for justifying their delusions and desires of supremacy.
I guess I should end this with hashtag Slava Ukraina for them easy likes, otherwise I'll get called a commie or whatever other slur for "not abiding to West European/US terrorism". I wonder where were all those people going out of their way to hate the Russian Nation and show their sudden love for Ukrainians with flying there for volunteering and sex tourism as they are doing right now where were those people when millions died in wars like Afghanistan, the multiple in the Middle East and Africa as well as the Yugoslav Wars, which have already been forgotten, with people calling 2022 the worst thing since WWII.
Anyways, the fathers grew up hating Russians because the grandfathers told them to, and the sons have a chance to hate on Russia too. It might not be Soviet Union but it is a "baahd countree" ( again, read it in cowboy US cavemen accent).

Even less reasons to support people dying for the benefit of an imperialistic parasite, but I don't expect someone from an empire to understand that, to you it's only right to steal your "enemies" of their resources and kill millions of us, which you'll also do with Ukraine if you take it from the Russians.
