Every single game Jokić plays for Nuggets for me is like playing for 🇷🇸, he represents the country on the biggest stage. He needs to look after his body any mind. The national team is run by old-fashioned 'breaking body and soul' tyrant coach, and the Olympic tournament will be cut throat, unpleasant experience. Hopefully, his wife and daughter will prevail, spending good quality time with them.

Theorerically, there is no problem for Jokić to play on Olympics regarding "physical overload". It is actually 3 (if you don't pass group) to maximum 6 games (if you get to finals), 40 minutes by FIBA rules, where Jokić would actually play no more than 25 minutes per game (not even a whole series...) because, in comparison to Denver Nuggets, team Serbia doesn't lack size, it is actually very big crowd on center position, and Milutinov, when Jokić is not arround, gives Jokić's numbers without problem.
Even the whole team is structured to play with Milutinov in the manner that you can just pick Milutinov out, and put Jokić in, because Milutinov was "directed" to play that way (which he usually don't do, he is more clasical under rimm center) specially because of time when Jokić would join, and coach Pešić is the one that was forcing that structure.
And yes, he is old school and he will demand Jokić to join a month earlier, go through 2 weeks of conditional camp and play 2-3 weaks friendly preparation games prior to Olympic start... And Pešić already shown the door to some big names when they were not ready to submit to his expectations. And there you can see possible colission, because it is a big part of summer that preparation period + 2 weaks Olympics, and Jokić might bargain for his time...
But for Jokić I think Pešić would have to compromize. If eventually Jokić say he was willing to participate, but that he couldn't find common language with Pešić, Pešić would probably be fired from cannon with live explosive under feet next second...
    P. S. But if he from some reason decide to skip this one also, well, it will not be good for him, not good at all...

The Warriors ended the season last year as a sixth seed as a defending champ. We tied the record with the 1 seed this year. Like come on. Be a little more positive on the Nuggets than being so upset with them. They will learn from this and they will be back next season fighting hard. They fight harder as the hunters anyway then as the hunted.

Yeah there was some bad games and yeah Malone could've made some different decisions, him and Booth could've been more on the same page as far as how the season was going to go but it was still a great season as far as defending champs go. this might be an unpopular opinion but i cant get on board with kcp leaving the perfect fit and winning situation for him for a "bag". the dude has made a ton of money in his career, he's a millionare multiple times over, its not like he's bruce brown looking for his first real payday, also the nuggets would probably pony up something like 17 million dollars which is a ton of money! im sure he could make more elsewhere but what happened to teams just sticking together to run it back for another ring? it just strange to me that its a foregone conclusion that any player on a winning team who's contract is up and can make more money is just gonna leave. has it always been this way? i dont think so but maybe im wrong. i just wish sticking together as a team and wanting to win more meant something to these guys. we've talked about how its tough to have a dynasty nowadays because of the leagues parity but it also seems to be tough cause nobody is willing to take less to stay together and win like brady did with the patriots, even jokic like bro you seem to be so unselfish and just care about winning but at the same time one of the biggest contracts in nba history is tying up a ton of our cap space, im not saying he doesnt deserve it but if winning matters more than anything else and you're nikola jokic then why not take 15 million less in order for the team to retain its best players besides you?

We, in our Serbia team beside Jok we have Milutinov best center in Europe and we never play them together. Denver's big problem is not the center( you need 1 backup to rest Jokic, maybe you should try to get Milutinov from Olimpyacos), big problem is missing 1 more guy that can handle the ball, that can defend, and that can shoot(Bogi from Atlanta is guy for you, Atlanta is not using him right, he can go to rim very easy. He has great vision also, great skills and good worker on the court. For pg spot try also to draft Jovic kid that brought Serbia u20 team gold, new Jason Kid type of player.

As far as next season goes, this is a chance for the Nuggos to reload, as I think it's time for Braun to enter the starting lineup, although he's such a great energy player off the bench though. one thing i'll say is, playing for the serbian national basketball team is not an obligation by any means. if a player doesn't view it as an honour, we don't want him there anyway. it's not a paid job, i know americans view international tournaments differently than some other countries globally but here, it's an experience and a lifelong dream for many players to represent the country in different sports. i know vogt used the word obligation in the sense that the feeling is jokić *has* to do it, but he really doesn't. he only has to if he feels like he should show up for his home country. if he doesn't feel it, we don't want him there either. but that's where the national legacy goes down the drain then. his individual one will always be there, but the national one can't, and if he doesn't want it, then there's no issue there. no legend of ours should feel forced to play. the legends are the ones who show up no matter what and put all their blood, sweat and tears into representing the country every 2-4 years without fail, no matter how tired they are or not, because they're all obviously going to be tired every end of season anyway. we've had injured guys give it their all, simanić even lost his kidney playing for us in that last world cup. those guys would do anything for the country. it's why bogdanović has the legacy he does in serbia which baffles some nba viewers. so yeah, point is, he's not obligated to do anything. if he prioritizes the money and the nba, that's his choice. but obviously he can't have a national legacy then, and if he's ok with that, there is no conversation to be had and serbs shouldn't be looked down upon for feeling the way they do. they're not saying he's not great, he just wouldn't be *the* national great - he would be *a* great and a denver great.

Blah blah yes we know Serbia would murder for a gold medal. You his don’t care if Jokic breaks his leg because it means more to you. Unfortunately for y’all Serbia isn’t going to give Jok 400million to bounce a ball so he has to be smart. Didn’t need the paragraphs to write that lol

Tatum needs to not shrink in the finals and have a full good series not a couple of games that his dick riders post his stats too to get off on.

Booth will indeed find a trade partner- maybe even a 3 way trade - for MPJ. Bookmark this.
The Magic for one are rumored to look hard at washed Klay. 🤣 Mike would be a huge upgrade over that guy.

Has Booth shown any ability to find solid trades that make the team better? What has he done that is maximizing Joker’s prime?

    • @RS-ol8or
      @RS-ol8or Před 27 dny

@@PeterBoye-vr3oy it seems they went the cheaper route last year; inexpensive vets, but that didn’t work out well. Plus they (mostly Malone) refused to play the rookies, thus the starters got overworked all year & it showed in the playoffs. Major mistake.
IMO Booth has to make better free agency moves; they can’t do the same thing and expect different results; what’s the definition of insanity again? That’s where I disagree with the dnvr guys. They can’t just “run it back” for those reasons.
The Kroenkes are gonna look at the payroll & then MIke’s production and be WTF…..😬 I’d be shocked if he’s on the roster next year; it’s silly so many fans view him like a superstar.

Trade MPJ, Jamal and AG for better combination of size, defense and shooting. I'm starting to notice that dnvr is too addicted to shooting percentages. KCP is horrible against good defense. He's not worth a big pay when we already have limited resources. He didn't even give Ant much trouble either. He's easily replaceable.
EIther we bring in some all stars or Jokic should ask for a trade. He shouldn't waste his talents on Denver if they can't put a winning dogs around him.

The Nuggets should trade for Clint Capela and put Jokic at power forward
For those who think Jokic at pf doesn't work, I understand that playing power forward next to Nurkic was terrible but I believe it was awful because the fit was awful. Defensively neither Jokic nor Nurkic was a good defender and on offense their games had no sinchrony or sinergy as Nurkic could not be a creator for Jokic (being a limited passer) nor Jokic's could create for Nurkic who was limited as a finisher.
But Jokic next to Kenneth Faried or Gordon has worked well as they have complementary skillsets (athletic play finishers who can catch lobs or attack the rim).
Clint Capela would therefore be the perfect frontcourt partner with Jokic because a) he is a perfect lob threat, dunker and play finisher b) his rim protection would exponentially elevate the Nuggets' ceiling and make Jokic's life easier and c) his 10 rebounds a game would be like a safety blanket on defense as either Gordon of Porter Jr are unreliable rebounders when going up against some of the best frontcourt players like AD or Gobert/Towns.
I think that this lineup would be unbeatable against the Timberwolves.
    Jamal (combo guard/scorer)
Braun ( point of attack defender/slasher)
    Gordon (defensive point forward)
    Jokic (offensive engine of team)
Capela (rim protector, second best rebounder, lob threat).

    • @nikolacvejic7270

Yes it was a disaster do not do that. For pg spot try also to draft Jovic, kid that brought Serbia u20 team gold, new Jason Kid type of player.

stop with the exhausted stuff, they get 2 month holiday anyway...soccer players literarily get like 14 days off, if they play international competitions...complete nonsense = 1. 9. - 18. 9. 2022, dates of last international competition Jokic played, 13.6. 2023 date Nuggets won the chip...there's no direct correlation. Exhaustion exist, but it's only in form of motivation burn out. It's a complex thing, based on trillion different factors, so playing international can be both positive/negative/neutral.
