What is the sharpening compound?, this is new to me. and when you reverse the blade what is it sharpening against?

You can use valve grinding compound

What size drill are you using? I want to do this to my reel mower but the drill we have, is too small by a couple mm.

I had same problem with my hicut 64 so I swapped the gears on each wheel over which reverses the blade turning direction, then turned the wheels by hand instead of using the drill
