You don't even have to guess. You can just hold jump and at worst if he frame traps you with the slash option from fujin then all u take is like 5 percent and you are out of the situation anyway
I think Anji's goal is to convince the opponent to interact with his pressure in the wrong way and get an enormous counterhit from it. To do this he builds some of the best RISC in the game and can reset pressure in a few different ways (236K, cS, Fuujin hop) that require the opponent to pick one correct option among several to counterplay. He has the third highest life in the game because his life is a resource you should use to figure out your opponent's habits and give you a buffer if your opponent gets lucky and guesses right a lot. Midscreen Fuujin is extremely weak and all the followups are reactable, while half are mashable (3/4 are mashable for some characters like Pot). Your goal should be to avoid getting to Fuujin as much as possible midscreen. In the corner Shin becomes another option for pressure resets and there are ways to make it mega plus.
@@Snooopysniper12 well post 2d and post grab fujin is a strong tool. You get k followup which you can use to grab again, 2d to fujin or k to 2d to fujin. He essentially just sets up the vortex and sprinkle in the other fujin followups
Personally, I view the Fuujin followups as: Nagiha - guaranteed on Fuujin hit, not safe if they block it; Rin - use when you feel they're expecting Nagiha, or when you know it'll connect since it can be blocked outta Fuujin hit; Issou - use for combos or with grab when you read them holding block; Shin - use mostly in corner to mix people up if they're trying to mash while blocking low, since that deals with every other option. But I'm still learning.
Sol bad guy gives my bardock season 2 vibes tbh , really good buttons and great in the corner, good damage , he’s got the red headband most important 😂
At the moment sol kinda fits els role as he is better at everything than every other character and has no bad matchups (all at least 6/4) and if el does get in (I’m dreading the thought) they prolly won’t be as good as they are in xrd, look at chipp, compared to xrd he sucks but in xrd he was insane (being his gimmick). In all I hope el doesn’t get in but if she does I hope they neuter her hard like they did chipp or at least make her more specialized
Quick addition for Anji, he does generally get higher return off overhead in the corner, but midscreen you can actually microdash 2K>6HS>fujin for corner carry. Fujin>K if you're far from the corner, fujin>HS>5P for a wallbreak if you can carry them close enough to it
As a May main, the win condition you mention is way better than my win condition of "Of swinging the anchor wildly and hope the game reads my inputs for her special moves, especially Mr. Dolphin as for some reason I can't always make Mr. Dolphin come out. Though instead of Mr. Dolphin to come out when I want to, I end up spamming Yamada Overdrive because I'm flailing around."
Ky is pretty alright. I don’t think he’s too bad, but he’s basically a worse Sol which absolutely makes him FEEL really bad. Like Sol kinda just murders you off of anything he lands because he has so many options. Ky has to get some specific moves. But a good Ky in the corner is pretty damn terrifying. He will lock you down hard. Try to jump out and he’ll say no. He just doesn’t get a touch of death off of an air to air like Sol does >.> LOL

All they really need to do is make 236S safer or at the very least neutral on hit. Shock state is good but it's hardly useful enough to make the moves that apply it death on block. Ky has a great super and is one of the few characters that are scary on knockdown imo. It's funny, but Sol is a bit too overturned while Ky is a bit too undertuned. I think a few small nerfs and buffs would make them about equal.

Hitconfirm in to super is really good as they say. İn fact it is too good you deal 182 damage which is 4 lower than you do when pull off combos (longest combos ky has deal arpumd 186). Which actually makes him boring instead of fun to play. You might do things like knock down the shock stated opponent-charged stunedge-forward drift RC-foudre arc to jump over the opponent- in to a crossup combo which is a fun way to play him but not as rewarding when you look at the damage s-hs-ride the lightning.
@@Billybobber47 if sweep hits and they get knocked down i use run trough and then k/shield if they grab you on wakeup dash at them once and then run trough and you should get enough space

Up dolphin and her normal where the anchor swings over her head, just beat Millia's options so hard. How do I approach May without getting blown up?
just DP every other wake up. either they respect it and lose advantage or they don't and get gorilla'd. Hell, I don't even bother trying to sweep Leos anymore because them blocking low is just giving them down charge for DP.
I'm a Millia player and have been really thankful watching you play LK. Any hopes of matchup videos any point in the future? I know I probably shouldn't be having issues with the matchup, but I-no is really frustrating for me and I don't know how to play that MU.
He's mostly a setplay esque character, but I agree. He doesn't really have options to do impactful damage midscreen without meter, but He can put the opponent in scary situations if they aren't ready for it. The RNG of his setplay is both a blessing and a curse, since neither you or the opponent know what happens next. You really need to be on your toes to optimize as many item toss situations as possible.
Okay, is there a way I can come up with crazy 3 steps ahead mixups, cause the enemy to opponent to guess constantly, and experiment with new things in neutral often without it just solely being a combo and me repeating a lot of the same few steps over and over again? How do I do that in this game?
Failed the Celestial trial 8 times today, but finally got to VIP on the 9th. Don't give up, if you need a break that's fine. But watch your replays, see why you lost. Watching high level players playing your character can help alot with MUs you struggle with TempestNYC showing me the way May deals with some characters helped me more then you could imagine. Your options depend on theirs, and if you get h disc off of throw or sweep. Think about what the opponent might do to get out, and craft your options around that.

It's where you mixup between striking the opponent and throwing the opponent As opposed to milias mixup which is more oriented towards guessing which side /high low to block
Only thing I'd add is that ky wants to break the wall asap for the meter gain more than most characters (basically the kizzie strat) so its important to realize when they're going for that if you're playing against them. Another godlike video tho thanks for all the free wisdom LK.

Ky however turns from mid tier to borderline top tier depending on whether or not he gets an early wallbreak.
@@TheGavinLaver nobody wants to leave people in a corner for a mix. Even if you drop a large combo for oki to mix the opponent, you will still wall break in 2-3 hits at max. It’s better to just go for the wall break every time as it gives positive bonus which is huge in this game. Dropping a combo in the corner means you don’t get that guaranteed positive bonus. That would just be stupid. Trust me on this. Not a single good player is dropping combos short to prevent a wall break. Yes, Ky needs a bar to do serious damage. However, every character in this game wants to wall break if they get the opportunity.

Leo gameplan: knock opponent with sweep or dp and meaty them with backstance k or shield. Once they stop mashing on wakeup mix them up
after sweep, do you use the far slice then meaty with k? i have been trying to do sweep into far slice S but not sure if its my timing which is off
