  • Removing and replacing the crankshaft position sensor on a 2003 to 2010 Nissan Micra K12 1.0 litre petrol. Some of the most common symptoms of a bad crankshaft position sensor are: an illuminated check engine light, the engine won’t start or it stalls, the engine misfires or runs roughly and you might have reduced fuel economy. If you’re renewing the sensor, the part number is 237315M016. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.

    Hello, I have a 2006 Nissan Micra that only starts for few seconds and switche off again. I have changed plugs, coil packs, camshaft and crankshaft sensor but the problem is still there

    • @potatoplayz621
      @potatoplayz621 Před 11 měsíci

      It stays idle for few seconds and as soon as I touch the accelerator peddle it looses all the power and shuts off

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 11 měsíci

      It could be a faulty fuel pump, a clogged fuel or air filter among many other things. You'll probably need to take it to a garage to have the problem diagnosed

    My micra is cranking but not starting
    I checked the fuel pump its working fine i checked all fuses they are all fine then i removed the fuel injectors and tried to start it and it wont spray fuel and removed one coil to see if there is spark i didnt get any spark
    So can the crankshaft position sensor do it?
    Or is it the ecm?

      It's one possibility. They're relatively cheap to buy so it might be worth replacing it first

      I'm not 100% sure but I think you would need to use the same as the original for it to be recognised by the engine mangement system.

      Normally a car won't start if you disconnect the crankshaft sensor so that's unusual. I'm not sure what's happening there. You'll probably need to have a mechanic have a look at that.
