How do u input the wind in the g5000 ? Also i noticed the fuel calculated for each waypoint and upon landing is calculated in a “measured” method so to speak live fuel flow and not in the “predicted” method using forecasted winds. Theres quite bit of fluctuations in the calculated fuel at each way point constantly changes due to live fuel flow rate how can i change that ? Thank you

A question that just came to me: Why don't major manufacturers like Airbus and Boeing use Garmin solutions, but develop their own? From the layman's point of view I have, it looks as if the Garmin system is in no way inferior to the FMS of an Airbus or a Boeing.

Wanna bet. I’ve flown all three. Garmin is a distance third.

Workload. Garmin is workload intensive. Too many ways to do things. Airlines are all about standardization. They don't want many ways to do things.

Is this available for the Premier 1 and 1a Jet?

Thank you for your interest in Garmin! The G5000 solution is available as a retrofit for the Beechjet and Citation Excel/XLS at this time.

Is the Beechjet with this Garmin system "single pilot certified"?

While the upgrade does not remove the crew requirement for the Beechjet, it does help save weight, adds value to the aircraft, adds a wealth of modern operational capabilities, like LPV approach capabilities, charts, datalink weather, and much more - it truly is a worthwhile investment!

I think putting your minimums under the utility tab is crazy stupid. While loading the approach, you should have a window to load your minimums at that time, not in a different location. This is an easy missed step if you’re new to this system, or even if you’re not new to the system. … just saying. 😂

Really need to use a stylus or pointer..... your meat hooks block a lot on the tuning heads.

Your big fat hand and fingers are blocking the screen. Use a stylus pen with your LEFT HAND AND DONT BLOCK THE SCREEN.
