    I trained solely on an old Mike model 172 steam gauge for all my training, and now I instruct on G1000 glass cockpit. The huge pro for G1000 is IFR flying is say, but complacency is a con I see often. Your videos are the best in the industry, and I tell others about them. Thank you for your time 😃

      I too learned on uh...steam gauges...and I was thinking exactly what you said. There are definitely pluses to this, but I wonder how many new pilots learning with things like this really learn to *fly*. This isn't an A320/737. These planes are meant to teach you real flying. Even that climb leader on the tape is a cheat. "Back in my day" We had to estimate when to start changes in our heads. Again, that can be bad if you are already saturated, but...yeah...

    Great video the only thing I would add is to make sure the autopilot for the aircraft is approved for missed approach procedures. To my knowledge the autopilot in the 172 GFC 700 the missed approach is prohibited with the use of autopilot until all alt and airspeed requirements are met

      It’s not supposed to be engaged until the pilot has deemed he/she has the sufficient rate of climb to reach required altitudes for the missed approach procedure

    Hey 👋 question... what is the best resource to learn the gfc 700 auto pilot on the g1000? Is there some sort of handbook or manual. I can't really find one

    Real aircraft would likely have a TO/GA button just next to a throttle (or on the throttle lever for Pipers) - you can push that to unsuspend and give you climb on FD.

      Depends on the airplane, some of our G1000 fleet have it and some dont. None NXI G1000 wont stay coupled in autopilot mode for the missed, it disconnects. Caught a few people out.
