    You saved me sir! I didn't have the money to take it to the shop, they told me they would have to take the cab off $$$$$$. I think I can tackle this on my own. Thanks!

    Thanks. I got this channel May 05 2024. I have an 08 F350 Super Duty 6.4 with 136 K miles. Lets see at 100K miles had to re&re main rear seal at 120K had to had to replace front plate and rad mostly my falt rad leak and I just kept topping up rad with water. Not aware of water pump cavitasion. Deleted DPF back and EGR at anought this time improved MPG by 1/3 you can guess how badly she was running at this time. Have not removed intake manifold as of yet. Waiting for somthing else. Will do that at the same time. Now it has 136K miles. If you know these 6.4 you know about there crazy Blowby psi. I did a DIY large 4"X 7" catchcan with 1 enter port and exit port very heavily baffeled and filled with SS pot scrubbers with a 2.5" open area at the bottom as a resevior as a area to collect and hold the CCV sewage untill the 4K oil and filter service. There is a 3/8" drain ball valve on the bottom to drain it. Its mounted on the out side passengers frame rail. Just under the passenger door or right side. Other than my quality diesel fuel treatment and checking for moisture in the fuel water separator I add 200 cc 2stroke fuel mix to every 16 gal of fuel. I was at a Rock Crowler event and got talking to one of the guys. The told me that modern diesel has zero liberation ability and that if I don't want to be changing my HP fuel pump I might want to start adding some of this to my fuel. That all been in the last 1K miles. I just took my oil filler cap off. In stead of almost blowing the cap out of my fingers the CCV psi. seems more normal? Im going on a little 100 mile run I'll check it again after every thing is warmed up. PS the catch can is filterd and vents to atmosphere. I will not have the chance of any engine sewage mixing with my highly fine metered air fuel racio. Yes it must be doing somthing right. My cold starts are much better and the engine appiers to run smoother. This 6.4 I love. It may well be my for ever truck.

    Does this method allow you to replace the lower and upper gaskets?

      Thought I’d ask, I also was told it was a warranty item back in the day but I don’t think they’ll do warranty on a going on 24yr old truck. We patched it up for now! Love these old trucks.
      You do awesome work 👌

    Hell, I figured it'd be easier to just cut the crossmember and weld it back in place. I need to do this for my 08'. I'd rather just bring your way. How much would it set me back? :)

    • @screamindieselltd
      @screamindieselltd  Před 5 měsíci

      I’d have to look back on my invoicing to see how much it was but I can definitely get it done if you’re in the area.

    So explain to me isn’t it bad to buy that much weight on the crank pulley, couldn’t you mess up the crank by doing that then end up with a much worse problem

    • @screamindieselltd
      @screamindieselltd  Před 5 měsíci

      It not my favourite way to lift them but your only lifting half the weight with it and it’s mostly on the bolt or bolts for the balancer.
