At Apple's WWDC 2023, the company introduced its newest operating system for iPads. The latest iPad OS gives users the ability to customize lock screens and adds a new Health app.
Wow, this is incredibly lame. I still can’t organize folders or move files onto and off of external drives.(*properly) But I can track multiple timers from the Home Screen…what a time to be alive. Haha In all seriousness, I don’t think Apple knows what to do with the iPad anymore. It could be so much more capable, and they deliberately hold it back. Please give us a touch version of MacOS and Finder!

I would kill for a tablet that could do the things of my MacBook and with the M1/M2 chips inside, what’s the excuse? It can’t be hardware anymore, it’s software.
just upgraded my iPad (9th generation) to the 17.0, and it seems a bit of a glitch at first, my screen is all black, but today, (the next day of the release of 17) everything seems to be fine. happy that Apple introduced this feature that I’ve been waiting for a year ❤
Let’s keep it 💯… Apple will never use the full potential of the iPad because it would take market share from their laptops. iPads are an extremely powerful piece of tech but the OS makes it just a bigger iPhone instead of a hybrid between your phone and Mac. Unfortunately buying an iPad Pro is kind of a waste of money unless you edit photos, videos or are an artist and use it for drawing. If you want an iPad, IMO the iPad Air is just the right product for the price and features... most people on iPads are surfing the web, streaming, reading emails, and checking social media platforms (which they should really focus on making those apps better for iPads)… the iPad Pro is overkill in price for the average consumer. Just my opinion though.
Nah, basic iPad at $299 is best for average consumers. iPad pro is just for artists and people that want to use Adobe on iPad to draw. If only apple could use power of M chip to make an iPad that can turn into a MacBook Air once a keyboard is attached would be worth the price they are charging now for iPad pro.but they will never do that 😅
we want drop down menus inside apps and the a button or two on the pencil with that ! we want to be able to right click with the pencil in design and drawing ,, moving the whole finger to tap it twice and even touch and hold things takes enough time to stop you from focusing. this is more important than having locked screen photo album
ipad:My favorites are Lock Screen Features,Live Activities,Interactive widgets,Assistive Acsess mode. iOS 17 my favorite features are new wallpapers, changing weight of font, minimalist widgets, standby and contact cards and iMessage app drawer and react with your hands. Love Apple products! They are doing better with iOS 16 and 17 unlike iOS 15 and below.

How about a program to utilize those paper weights you call homepods into a true 5, 7, or 9.1 setup if you have more then two? That might be to advanced for you apple given you just got multiple timer support. Maybe 50 years from now.

You'll soon be able to add 16 interactive widgets to the lock screen 1 2 3 ÷ 4 5 6 x 7 8 9 + 0 . = - and make a calculator with Shortcuts and custom scripts that output the result in a homepod. We truly live in an age of wonders.
It is amazing look lock screens on customization iPadOS 17 and did not from iPadOS 16 badly enough failing, by iOS 16 had lock screens amazing it allows iPhone.
I really hope the next iPadOS changes the Apple Pencil scribble UI, the little floating box is worse than the floating circle, at least the circle could go into the upper corners 🤦🏽♀️
So innovative! Having the option to put pictures in lock screen convinced me to spend 2k USD for a M2 iPad...Or should I wait for the M3 version, can be the M2 is not powerful enough for that.
