FINALLY we get something Android has had for 10 years. I barely used widgets but now I might start using them. Now if only we can get the ability to freely arrange icons
I love your energy on this video! You mentioned Fantastical. I wonder if apple calendar or google calendar can up their game in the interactive widget category. I'm also glad you split this into multiple videos. Can't wait for the next one! 👍
I have a hard time teaching the concept of clockwise and counter clockwise to kids who grew up on digital clocks when teaching how to open a combination lock. I agree analog clock faces should not be on computers.
I’m kind of surprised that Spotify hasn’t updated its widgets tbh. Other than that, CARROT weather is the only other widget I use that has been updated that I’m loving.
I'm impressed by this video. A lot of info ( a lot I don't care about) that makes me feel miles more up to date on where devices and interactions are going than reading hacker news or whatever I might be doing instead.
Have you noticed that the iPad Pro keyboard doesn’t work properly after the IOS update? I used to be able to easily stop & start CZcams videos with the spacebar now it works only sporadically 😕
Hello Chris , Great video ❤ as always 👌 In future when you find time, please do make a video on how you use your storage - "Second brain" with multiple datastorage apps like - notion, apple notes, craft or evernote etc. It feels confusing to me how to have data in multiple apps , as each app has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Hey what’s up Chris I’m not someone that necessarily agrees with being productive 100% of the time or logging everything but for some reason my iPad seems kinda useless if I don’t design it to be a productivity machine. So I’m looking at this video for ideas on how to organize work and school life and schedule everything after a really bad and tiring week where being organized could’ve saved me some hours of sleep, so thanks for uploading this with all the new stuff in iPadOS 17
Many of these apps have a paid feature to unlock them. Sorry but I’ll wait for apple to make a version before I spend yet another fee for something that ought to be free. Also are you checking to see if these app’s servers are based in the US and not overseas? I’m not comfortable with “free apps” actually being based in other counties and collecting my personal information.
I hesitate to ask but I assume there's no way to view a Home camera as a live widget? I can't even figure out how to trigger the miniature camera view window anymore, unless it's not currently in iPad OS 17 for some reason.
homekit secure video has small windows of each installed camera and they refresh as live when you go into the home app. Never tried to see if they can be placed in a widget.

What is your favorite app right now? Bonus points if it was updated to support any of the new features in iOS and iPadOS 17.
Oh man… this video solved so many problems I had but couldn’t find a widget for, thank you!
You are 100% correct about analogue clocks on digital screens. They make no sense!!

Is there a chance you could soon do an updated iPad files management video?

Where can i find great ipad wallpapers?
There’s a digital clock face for Standby. I found it somehow but I can’t remember how I found it.
Swipe right from main standby widget view. Thats where they are.
These widgets are amazing! ❤️🔥 Thanks for sharing! 👊🏼 I was unironically waiting for the games widgets, those are *VERY* cool!
@chris how did you get your finder icon to look right? mine either has a background color or is stretched...

is it compatible with ipad pro 2015?
I thought I’m the only one who thinks that analog clock on a digital devices like computer or smartphone is weird
I try to avoid installing apps on my iPads and rely on Safari as much as possible.
Curious, is there a reason for this? I do hate apps that can’t flexibly resize. But, they also don’t have web options.
@@lawbinson I just can’t see installing an app for something they can be accessed via a web browser
Fonts look terrible
