Lo! Star-led Chiefs (Crotch) - instrumental

William Crotch (1775-1847) was organist at Christ Church Cathedral
and Heather Professor of Music at Oxford University. Lo! Star-led Chiefs is an extract from the Oratorio Palestine published in 1812.
At the time of writing there are no orchestral scores available, so here is my interepretation of the organ & choir parts arranged for organ and modest orchestra.
I realise that there is a fair amount of discussion regarding the correct tempo for this piece, but this is more or less the pace at which I recall singing it as a chorister under Bernard Rose at Magdalen College in the early 1960s.
