    I used this as inspiration to make a crest for a masquerade phoenix I'm working on (just need to make and paint the dress). I used a piece of foam sheeting (the stuff you use for packing dishes) covered in red material, and tapered it to a point. Lots of red, orange, dark yellow & black feathers. I'll add snap clips to it so I can just clip it into my wig when I have everything done.

    OMG thanx for existing. It's kinda hard what to make or wear that involves feathers, but you gave me an inspiration on what to do for my next cosplay design. Thank you

    FYI: You can also curl feathers using steam or a curling iron if you need to adjust the shape and curve of them.

    this would be a great fascinator for someone who either had something super formal to attend to (or at least they could adapt the technique :P) or my first instinct SOMEONE USE THIS FOR DRAG. NOW.

    Loved it so much, and will definitely try it! Thank you for sharing this! Do you have any ideas of how much feather you used? Eather in weight or units?

    • @NsomniaksDream
      @NsomniaksDream  Před 5 lety

      Oh gosh I don't remember at all unfortunately... I think I had ordered about 4 (fairly small) bags of feathers off of eBay and I used less feathers than I thought I would in the end. I had feathers left over

    Can you include the type of feathers you used? I am having a hard time trying to figure out which ones to go with because there are so many options. thanks!

    • @NsomniaksDream
      @NsomniaksDream  Před 4 lety

      Im honestly not sure because i had bought random feather lots off ebay for this build but i believe they are rooster feathers

    • @ninaj84
      @ninaj84 Před 4 lety

      @@NsomniaksDream Awesome - that really helps! The rooster feathers I've been seeing look similar, so I think I would be safe to go with those. This is gonna be so much fun to make! :)

    Hello I'm Brazilian, and I really liked your style, you could do something about my country, like the Indians for example! Kisses

  • @benenter8739
    @benenter8739 Před 6 lety

    I can't just jet Worbla so I would have to order it online, so I'm using a crappy vinyl record by heating it in the oven, citing it, then molding it to my wig head.

    • @NsomniaksDream
      @NsomniaksDream  Před 6 lety +1

      Haha whatever works right! ^_^
      You can also just layer up the craft foam for stability if needed. Craft foam can be heat molded as well, it just takes thicker pieces to be as durable as worbla
