That’s what we need constitutional carry! That would free up all the waiting for carry permits !
And unnecessary work.
And soon as you reach for that gun you gettn hit with a mass of bear spray followed by hornet pellets😅. War us War mf 😎
No it won't lol,, I don't know the law in NC, but in Florida if you don't have a permit, you still need to wait 3 days for a gun, and it will stay the same now is permitless in florida but when buying guns you news to wait 3 days before getting gun, now with permit you can get it same day
@@elvirhadzic2784 So end the old bs Brady Bill- simple fix.
We already have constitutional carry in NC. State v. Kerner
Go NC!! Let's become the 27th Constitutional Carry State!! We have the override veto power now!! Get in done!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
We'll be #28.
only thing that stops bad guy with a gun is good guy with a gun ...
Every good guy with a gun, is one until they're not.
@@dE3Lov its the narrative every time theirs a school shooting or a mass shooting ....
@@dE3Lov this isnt minority report, there is no precrime unit.
@Mel Gillham it's not a John Wayne movie either. The statement "only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun..." is empty, feel good rhetoric. It would be more truthful to say, "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a highly trained combat professional who, at the precise moment disables the bad guy before they shoot just one person." Otherwise, the bad guy technically wasn't stopped.
If it were as easy as putting badges on armed people to label them good guys, then there would be no bad cops.
@@dE3Lov nope. Cause its anyone who stands at the moment they are needed. Not just the soldier boy mentality you profess.
Yes NC give the citizens their rights back without cashing in.
Constitutional carry already exists for criminals, and it will always exist for them. It only makes sense to allow law abiding citizens to be able to defend themselves with the same strength. Besides, it is already legal in NC to open carry handguns, and long guns without any permits, so nothing would change other than now weirdos wouldn't be so scared from seeing the guns that are already around them. I can walk my dog with an AR15 strapped to my back, and have my pistol in my duty holster here legally without a permit, but the second I cover my pistol with my shirt it all becomes "too dangerous" ???🤦Some of our leaders are so ignorant and downright stupid.
Same here in MI. Only now with the Dem’s in total control they would like to have us be more like Comifornia!
That's just another tax when you get a gun permit you shouldn't have the government's permission bye the Constitution to carry
I live in Indy and we've never had a concealed carry limitation. That truly is some seriously stupid schitt. Gotta love those gun haters.
FINALLY _ The Tar Heel state is moving in the direction of liberty!
@@itstim2098 how is making it easier for law abiding people to defend themselves idiocy? Have you ever been robbed, while working for minimum wage? No? Then stfu
@@itstim2098 Criminals do not apply for permits. The only thing permits and fees do is limit law-abiding citizens from exercizing their rights.
Criminals have networks of people that supply illegal stolen guns, permits do not stop them from buying guns.
Additionally, criminals go for easy prey, armed citizens are not easy prey.
The gun safety class instructors are just crying because they would loose a lot of business. Disgraceful these instructors don't want you using your rights unless they are making money off your rights.
Yeah it's a south it's called the plantation mentality or Uncle Tom syndrome
I thought this too but there is still a lot of demand for active shooter training, self defense shooting training and even just basic firearm safety and maintenance and the laws governing firearms. I think they could find a way to still make money.
I wouldn't take a class from that fat retard anyway. If he knew what he was doing or had a decent class, he wouldn't have to concern himself with no one taking his class. People still take classes from good instructors. He has demonstrated he isn't.
@@kaliwebb6383 yeah it's called they have to earn it and that we don't have to handle it over anymore
Well I get your point of view but I also see theirs. While yes they would lose their main source of income, I have personally seen a not-smart person at one of these trainings mishandle a .22 and put a round in the instructors lower right buttocks.
Constitutional carry ABSOLUTELY has to happen, but I think requiring at least 1 safety course every 5 years is crucial. It not only teaches gun safety, but also keeps you informed and up to date on the pro-criminal laws aimed at taking your rights away if you do fire your weapon.
Yes, this should have been done a long time ago!
It is your right they cannot take it away we Alaska salute you
It's very easy to practice with your gun and the majority of reputable CZcams gun channels demonstrate proper gun safety and emphasize training. A simple search nowadays will send you to good information.
Absolutely. That guy is a moron. Can't believe people like him influenced legislation. Bottom line, they're going to lose income on their CCW classes. I've learned 100x more about shooting a gun on YT than in my 8hr class. Of which about 2hrs were spent on technique and shooting.
This is great news! Hopefully the next Governor will be Mark Robinson and we will get Constitutional carry. The current illegal Federal vendetta needs to be nullified and the States can help do that.
If we pass CC in NC it still behoves you to get a permit so you can carry reciprocally in 38 other states legally.
Or...and hear me out, here...you could NOT pay for all those stupid ass restrictions on your constitutional rights and carry however the hell you want in 26 states that recognize your rights.
@@0130wallace didn't cost me a dime as a Veteran. Local shop gives the classes for free to former military and my wifes was a whole $25. Well worth the time and miniscule price to not have to deal with where my gun can be.
Agree. For me, carry "permit" doesn't hurt. I will continue to renew regardless.
Only need a permit for reciprocity in 25 states, because the other 25 our constitutional carry and even if you're state didn't have reciprocity you can still carry regardless
@@Crustymarine If stopped by the police they also know you are creditable. Plus the County needs the money. Yes, continue to get certified people. Oh, some real gun training would also be good.
It's my experience that one doesn't learn much at all about how to use or handle a gun in the ccw classes . It's really just a bunch of government red tape that you go through in these classes. It's a waste of time and money. I know folks that put on the ccw classes make out pretty good financially, and they don't want that to go bye bye. It's unconstitutional to have to get a permit to carry a pistol..
People who are forced to take a class never learn during the class anyway. They will forget everything as soon as they finish the requirement.
It might bring down the cost of those classes, there are businesses charging over $100 for the classes. For poor people who have to buy the ammo for the class, a gun, plus the price of the class, and lose time at work it makes it difficult. Even more difficult for working single mothers who probably need the right the most. I have advised many a young mother to just open carry. In fact if we want CC to get passed open carry, this scares the bejesus out of the politicians, and they might move to pass CC.
In this day and age it should be common sense to ensure the person carrying is mentally stable and has a permit to prove they went through the safety checks and are responsible. If just anyone is allowed to carry without those common sense measures then you will continue to have mentally ill people committing mass shootings without any checks to prevent it, if that's the case then those that brought that situation about will be an enabler for the deaths and blood spilled.
@@mariev6108 It would be just easier to ban anyone who voted for biden access to firearms. It would also help if democrat politicians were banned from firearm policies since they don't have a clue.
@@mariev6108
Tell that to Joe Biden, arming the murderous Taliban with $85 billion dollar's worth of taxpayer funded military arms..
By the way, we don't need a government permit to exercise a God given right to bare arms and defend ourselves.
It's our responsibility to get training for our selves, not the government..🇺🇸
It sure would have been nice if WFMY had interviewed Paul Valone of Grass Roots North Carolina instead of some guy from the NRA who really had nothing to do with the passage and veto override of SB 41.
Good point.
I do not need their permission. It is my right to carry, Period!
Try it in the presence of a scared cop and see what happens.
Go N.C.....I'm in Florida so Proud we have this now.....We should not have to Register for a Constitutional Right!! ❤
NC needs to join the 26 other states and get Constitutional Concealed Carry.
I learned safety, training, and legality of self defense online from reputable youtubers. Learning online is different for everyone but have some common sense. I did not grow up using guns. Learned from 18 and up. Now I conceal everyday. I dont get how learning your rights, laws, and training online is anything but good. Of course its better to get physical training, but people don't have the time or money. Most gun owners are Good, moral, ethical people.
Gun instructors were worried about losing money.
1:41 that fee goes directly to the sheriff's office you get your concealed permit from. Most sheriff's offices are against constitutional carry because they would lose a ton of money. There is a cost to obtain the permit initially and there is a renewal fee as well. I live in NC and support constitutional carry. I believe that the government should not infringe on gun fights. No amount of infringement should be allowed!
This would be great and this would be the 27th state
Florida just passed it so you are correct
I sure hope so! That would be a great step in the right direction for NC.
Good job NC reps. CC next. 2A Sanctuary state after that.😀
if all kids stayed in school and got an education, along with loving and caring parents, they would do better in life.
Remove the gun free school zone democrats. Allow those who will protect students with guns both in the school and outside the schools.
An armed society is a polite society
They were armed in the old West as well. Gunfights everyday.
Gun laws have nothing to do with mass shootings. Stop the nonsense
I really hope it does get passed, open carry is a huge disadvantage for law abiding citizens.
Carrying always regardless how is a huge advantage.
@@r.d.9399 correct but what he’s saying is open carrying is more dangerous for a law abiding citizen due to the reality that in a mass shooting senario, you’re the first they’d take out, in the mind of the criminal, you’d take out the guy with a gun before killing all the unarmed people, but if you conceal carry nobody knows you have a firearm, therefore not putting a huge target on your back
@@r.d.9399 between that and people are just crazy nowadays, if they don’t have a weapon and want one they could try to take it off of you. I just feel like conceal carry is safer and doesn’t attract as much attention due to the fact no one would ever know you’re carrying unless someone was of deadly threat to you or others.
The "backlog" in Mecklenburg county isn't because of demand, it's because the sheriff refuses to follow STATE LAW concerning the issue of the permits. He's a "D" so it shouldn't surprise anyone....
Like Florida if the gun is legally registered to the person then they should be able to legally conceal carry... Which can cause less commotion than open carry... It's just common sense...
Its time its passed the house and time to stop being against the law to conceal our weapons!
I agree that everyone who carries should take a ccw class. There's a lot of good info in that class especially concerning self defense and use of force laws. Which can be tricky. However I don't believe we need the government to make us take a class.
it literally needs to go through every single state and be legal
law abiding Americans should not need a license to exercise their constitutional rights.
Hell yeah we do. I had to wait 7 months after i turned 21 just have get my ccw. If are laws say i can at 21 buy a pistol and i can conceal it, why need a permit i have to wait months on to protect myself
Georgia and Tennessee passed Constitutional Carry and we've had less crimes now.
Those supposed trainers should be flag by the 2A. Community.
I
Of course North Carolina along with every other state should have Constitutional carry. We do have something called the Bill of Rights and in it the Second Amendment. When you purchase ANY firearm you go thru a background check. Getting permission from the local Sheriff is all about charging you money to exercise your Constitutional rights.
How much blood must be spilled asked the politician? Go to to Chicago, Detroit, and other urban centers and answer that question yourself lady politician. What are you doing about that?
FI instructors just want to keep making money giving ccw class....they don't teach beginners how to shoot, it's just a smoke screen...
I wonder when we might need a permit to carry a screwdriver to work? or will kitchen knives be ban from our dinning room tables too?
Welcome to the laws we actually live under in Canada. Whether it’s a woman carrying pepper spray through a darkened parking structure at night, a business owner who takes the cash to his car at the end of each shift keeping a pocket knife, an elderly grandmother who carries a cane….(or even a nerf ball, for that matter)…if you acknowledge you are carrying it for the purposes of possible self-defence, you are committing a criminal act up here.
It’s madness.
@@mookiewilson4166 I've met a lot of Canadians who love gun control. Since the trucker protest, I've met more and more who loathe it. I hope y'all can get your rights back.
Orenthal James legislation?
Who are these firearms trainers against constitutional carry? They need to be boycotted because there own greed is more important to them.
We need a way to incentivize having good gun training without restricting rights.
Needs to happen
Hello i am from Croatia, but American have "Right to Bear Arms, so why do you still needs licence to carry a Gun???
If they pass it now, they will be number 28. In the time this video was released, Florida’s became 26, and Nebraska became 27. So now 27 states are constitutional carry.
Let’s go! State 27 I hope!
27 other states have constitutional carry. NC needs to get it together and become the 28th.
I would rather school carry like SB 343 be the next goal... I have more training than 3 police officers but it doesn’t count legally once my feet hit pavement on school property... it is absurd.
I'm on your side and Utah you can carry on school grounds
My heart totally goes out to the children of Nashville, but the answer is not the banning or guns, there is a old saying about that, " if you outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns" guns are not the problem, almost every citizen in this country who owns a gun never has to use that gun in a violent situation, it is one out of millions that pick up a gun and go on a rampage and if the police would do their job that they are paid very well to do instead of hiding behind their cars like the cowards they are these shootings could be stopped way before things went to the extreme, but they do hide and cry " officers safety" while children are being killed, there is where the real problem lies,
Outstanding
No law is going to stop criminals, especially violent criminals.
Constitutional carry is not a belief, it's a right!!
They forgot to mention the fee was $100 just for the permit, with the class it would make it $200
Has anyone noticed that more gun control equals more violent crimes.. police takes minutes to respond and criminals takes second to act. See the problem I see.. that's why law abiding citizens need to be the first responder protection to give police time to get there to take care of the issue. But nope we seem to get more sensitive gun areas to help criminals do what criminals are going to do. I surely hope that nc gets constitutional carry because criminals are doing that.. also note that all these concealed carry permit trainers are mad because they are going to not have the money to keep there business open if this happens.. they require you to take couple of courses before you could apply for concealed carry classes. That costs over $100 a class not counting what the police department charges you to submit the paperwork. It's a money grab. I'm just pointing out the facts here .
Requiring a permit turns a right into a privilege. The Constitution says every citizen has the right to carry.
it's not the "belief"
it's the physical right as an american citizen to be able to own and carry a gun without needing the government to let you
About damn time!!
An armed and educated society is a polite and strong society.
When seconds count the police are minutes away. FLY NAVY!!!
The only people complaining about this is the ones losing money
Correction, it's not "a belief", it's a God given right written in our constitution, via constitutional carry..
I’m all for it, but it’s actually written in the North Carolina constitution that it can be denied. Hopefully this doesn’t hang it up.
South Carolina already does it so NC mine as well join the 26 other states that do it too
There is no debate. Your right to keep and bear arms shall NOT be infringed. I just won the debate.
This recent shooting was not an example of why we need stricter gun laws, it is how ever a prime example of why we need to look into mental health issues and why we should not “ affirm “ one’s mental illness but get those who suffer the proper treatment they need
That is the real problem few speak of.
yet noone is looking into mental health issues, and noone is looking how these people get guns so easily.
Like gender disphoria? Mental illness.
3:17 these Concealed weapon class teachers make a fortune teaching these classes. I have seen it from $45-$85 per person. If constitutional carry is made legal they will lose a bunch of money. I am all about safety and encourage anyone who carries a weapon to know how to properly use it in a safe manner and also when to use it.
More like the gun safety people are worried they will be put out of business 😂
Any officials passing or enforcing any gun control laws should be immediately removed from their offices under title 5 U.S.C. section 7311 Ex. ORD. No. 10450 section (5), title 18 U.S.C. 1918, title 18 U.S.C. section 241 conspiracy against rights, title 18 U.S.C. section 242 deprivation of rights under color of law.
I agree, we need Constitutional carry in NC!!!😊
The same people that say we have to save kid also said to kill babys let that sink in
Should have background checks, mental evaluations and $200 classes and registry prior to preborning baby murders. Common sense baby killing laws I say. Then have it on screen and make them watch. We have the technology.
Those unhappy trainers must be losing money if the class requirement is abandoned.
Just so it's put there... North Carolina already HAS 'open carry' for it's residents with only a couple of areas forbidding it (I.E. Cary, Carrboro.. Private posted property & Government properties...)
We already have constitutional carry in NC, I do support no permit conceal carry though.
I live in Virginia and I say NC should pass constitutional carry. Now I'm all for training as much as possible to be efficient with your hand gun but the people shouldn't have to pay all the fee's and additional background checks to carry a concealed weapon that they already purchased legally.
XD 🎉😂, Took me a year to get my conceal and carry permit and now they are just taking it away for constitutional carry, why not, that's a great next step
Red flag laws also known as pre-crime laws. What is this? Minority Report?
The fee is the problem
As someone who has not yet acquired a CCW and lives in a dangerous inter city in NC, I can say that constitutional carry would enable me to protect myself and others without creating a target on my back as someone who open carries
Bring back weapons training in schools. Teach children age appropriate skills in elementary, middle, and high school.
Yes Yes Yes !!!!!
Bring it!
We already have that now though
No one had to ask government permission for your Constitution right to talk about it.
Go for it go go
So the CCW INSTRUCTORS ruined it for us…. THANKS ALOT GUYS!!!
Always about the FEE. 😂
We technically already have constitutional carry rights in NC as we are allowed to “open carry”. Great points made here and the sheriff made a great point about advocating to take a safety course first. I hope it passes.
Except when open carrying you are the first target to a criminal
Wow no that's not what Constitutional carry means. Open carry just means I can carry with it in plain sight. You still had to go to your sheriff department and ask daddy government to please let me purchase this concealable weapon, something I should not have to do as the 2nd amendment plainly states.
Also what has passed is not Constitutional Carry, it's just ending the permit process if you plan to open carry. Constitutional carry allows you to conceal carry without a CCP.
Shall not be infringed.
Tennessee just passed a law to allow guns to be carried in schools by qualified staff.
Do you honestly think the "safety trainers" was worried about others Training or was it loss of profits?
Constitutional carry!!!!!!
Fantastic ! Great news.
Congratulations to NC on getting rid of the purchase permit; it was likely unconstitutional anyhow. When the permit class instructors talk to you about safety concerns, these handful of instructors are not speaking from an understanding of reality, but out of self interest; if they're not in the way of your permit application, then they stand to lose money.
As for "leading cause of death", that is just a plain misreading of the statistics.
Give the children guns 😂😂
(Jk)
We should have armed guards at schools though.
Why my rights are violated by gun trainer? 2A is my rights, my safety first not others interest. Training or not, 2A is my rights and my mistakes are also my responsibility.
This is crazy!
I am all for it, I just hope people will recognize all the 2A resources we have in NC and take classes to become better shooters and know the laws.
Who ever the woman was with the purse has terrible trigger discipline and should definitely get some concealed carry training 😂
His comment that it’s a “belief” that you have the right to carry is a joke…it’s a fact.
Half the states have constitutional carry? good job
