Glad to see more videos. I have been learning to tune my car with hp tuners since 2009. Once i figured out what each table actually did, i was able to zero out all of the "self correcting" stuff and put all of the spark and fuel where i wanted it. I have also been mafless since 2009. Good luck with it. Its not impossible
Thanks! I know the feeling. Some many adder and subtraction table for timing with coolant temps, iat, etc. Maf was super simple to tune. VE more work but not terrible. Just working on ironing out the tables that control the pump and false knock. But we’ll get there. Thanks again!

used too have a 2013 1.4l sonic wrecked that and got a 2005 cobalt ss with the 2.0l! love the content such underdogs!
Those 2.0 have tons of potential. I like the underdog aspect. Different for the rinse and repeat formulas out there.

Definitely good to see you back again Matthew I understand where you're coming from I'm still reeling in the loss of my son from August 2021 my father passed away Valentine's Day 2023. I'm just trying to pick the pieces up and get back on the horse again to get my projects back the way they were supposed to go. 😊😊 I can agree with you down here in Florida it's awfully hot to be working in the Sun at 150 degrees..... As a recovering addict I've been clean for the last eight and a half years because my son's still marching forward hopefully having my youngest son working for me and my metal fabrication shop.
That must have been rough and still is. I feel ya. There’s those good days and those days that hit ya hard mentally and emotionally. Sounds like you’re on a great path. It’s been since January I last drank. It’s been like starting life all over again in every aspect, but like you said. Just picking up the pieces and rebuilding. Thanks for sharing.

Still my favorite build hope your doing well I'm excited to see you get this car out to some events hopefully so us fans can say how much we appreciate u in person 🙂 getting a ecu master would be a great idea to make tuning easier. I need to do the boost mod sometime my 1.4 keeps dropping the boost from 20 to 15 randomly never just holds the boost up when passing on the highway.

Haltec makes some decent aftermarket ECU some under a grand still alot of money
I've actually checked theirs out and looked into how tuning works. Seems pretty straight forward. I just need to give them a call and see what's all needed to keep the electronic steering or how to tackle that. It would be nice to keep a lot of the cars features, but have complete control over the tuning of the engine.
@@cmattdabrat see if there is an older factory computer that can be tuned better kinda like the old Honda's but yet again don't know if it will be able to power everything you want to keep. It would be funny to run the car with an early to late 90s chevy cavalier computer 🤣
