- Path of Exile 3.24 Necropolis introduced a new pair of unique gloves; The Hand of Phrecia. This unique item has a special interaction with Generosity Support which allows you to gain the aura effect from this support gem whilst the aura itself still affects you. This video explores an aura stacking concept using these new gloves in combination with Victario's Influence on a Champion.

Since some people are under the impression that you need to use link skills to benefit from this interaction: The linking of targets is irrelevant for the interaction between The Hand of Phrecia and Generosity Support. If you link a target, you do gain extra aura effect from the gloves, but the gloves alone disable the 'Auras do not affect you' line on Generosity Support, meaning you can use Generosity(either from a gem link or an item like Victario's) to gain a bunch of 'free' aura effect to those linked auras.
It's impressive how many people missed this key point entirely...
any aura that has a vaal version also gains the duration tag just a little fun fact for when your searching for a double corrupted item

I use Victario's Influence to gain +5 for any skill when using high-impact support. Skill gem inherits the 'aura' gem from high-impact support and therefore is considered aura gem and the other +4 is from corruption. A lot of good corruptions on Victario's.
you can also use + duration gems implicit and corrupt your purities to gain duration tag and benefit from + levels
I genuinely hope this interaction stays like it is because it’s a fun use for two items.

Been playing this in different variations for 2 months now (armor stacker definetley the strongest I tried) since I first saw this video, most impressive part is that there are so few people using Victario's Influence and these gloves according to poe.ninja , also insanley easy to make the gloves perfectly rolled by adding a handfull of explicit reroll modifer corpses.
bro, I took your advice and just put Generosity in my aura setup and wow it gives me such a big boos. I looked on PoE ninja however and most people wearing these done even have Gemerosity in their setup, I guess they dont get how these really work 😂
Currently running this tech on guardian. 12 auras with all that aura effect gives something like x2.4 recovery rate. With Vitality getting scaled by arua effect and then recovery rate, you get a lot of recovery, plus the defenses from all 3 purities, determination, disciple, and defiance banner. My damage comes from a lvl 35 frigid bond Shako linked to animate guardian. You can get 3 more 50% auras of your choice in prism guardian, which I swap out depending on which friends I'm playing with. Animate Guardian is tanky enough with mask of the stitched demon boosted regen that his only links are minion life, guadians blessing, and an aura.
Necromancer also seems interesting to try with the attack and cast speed to auras.

Yoo! This is exactly what I did as well! I never ended up using my 35 frigid bond shako much tbh I had my hands full learning how to aura bot to begin with, i now have it up for sale

This sounds amazing tbh. Always wanted to do some aura stacker for friends (I've done spark self aura stack leagues ago ). But I play most out of us, and rotate which friend I'm with (aura differences), and would also be nice if it can do semi juiced 16s solo atleast. Any chance I can get a PoB ?

I am using the Generosity + Phrecia gloves setup for my Flame Linked Animate Guardian carry. If there's a fix to be done with that gloves, it'd have to be that you need a linked target to benefit from the generosity support. I currently use that to have a omega boosted Hatred Aura setup along with Determination, precision, and vitality. I can't be using the Victario chest sadly because I employ the Apostate armor to have more HP. However, I hadn't immediately thought of stacking purity auras to get a massive amount of max all resistances. That's interesting for sure.
+1 to socketed gems along with +2 aura or aoe is enough to reach the lvl 23 breakpoint without corrupted gems. They're currently 20-40c and 6-socketing with tainted jewellers is pretty easy, so it's not even worth buying single-corrupted victarios right now.
Another smalm tip for saving money: unless you need 3+ red sockets, it's much cheaper to bench craft the right colors with "at least one red socket" than to use tainted chromes, since the bench craft respects attribute requirements while tainted chromes don't.
I tried this on Bleed Jug EQ, worked really well and its a solid tanky build with the new bleed boots. Than I tried champ and you can play anything mele or bow or even impale spells. Or just a budget armor stacker with grace and determination I run animatr guardian on all of em with 0 minion invest and ho estly t16 and bosses are no issue. No idea at ubers and t17 since on vacation but the Jug farmed t17 easily. The animate guardian can be kept alive with vampiric link easily
im running this setup on my armourstacker, been trying all kinds of minions and they just dont survive.
i didnt try animate guardian yet, could you explain to me how you set up yours? is it a 1link AG? i only have 1 gemsocket for him^^

I'd always be worried that the interaction would be getting nerfed every patch - sword of damocles hanging over the time invested in the build. But don't get me wrong, I think it's great you're covering this as it's interesting in its own right.
I think it's a fair concern for sure. I don't think it will get changed at this point but it's never a certainty, I expect it will be fixed for next league though(assuming they go core)

Thank you for the video! Not sure why, but in-game defiance banner seems doesn't apply aura effect with Generosity still with Hand of Phrecia. Not sure if this is for all banner skills.
What does the pinnacle of this build look like. I mean with mirrors invested? Is there anyway to run mana efficiency magic gems corrupted with adorned? Those with like a reservation synth gear and reservation implicits from eater. How crazy can this get ? I must knoww

Im using gloves for 2 weeks and banners (for me not on champ) does not work with generosity in this setup. Did u test it? Maybe im dumb
In terms of damage links, I would suggest using a Crest of Desire Setup that provides up to +8 Levels and max. 50% Qual to socketed gems or a Forbidden Shako with something like Lv.35 Icebite. Depending on the Skill, just those 2 Helmets alone can give you all the damage scaling you need in terms of Gems

@@TheMasterReflect squire would also be an option but builds that use shields gain a lot of defense from those like additional max. Res and so on. Better to use a well crafted Rare shield or a shield that provides a lot of Defense

@@akashaedge1379 there are very few builds that really can use 8-link helmets to great effect. To my own knowledge, the only one I can think of is RF/burn/ignite builds. Any other are better off with Forbidden Shako or Crest of Desire

+2 gem level+ hypo+ conc+ base crit + 30% ele dmg+ 30% dmg on low life + 4 regular links... so no not only fire dot builds. even coc dd is using a multi link helm this league.
Currently leveling this setup aiming to try a corrupting fever build. Have a +3 victario's because I want to run enlighten, and have a +2 aura's implicit hand of phrecia for even more aura goodness... the only concern I think I'm having with running Corrupting Fever is that I won't be able to use Haemophilia gloves, which will hurt the clear. Any tips appreciated as I'm relatively new to this kind of theorycrafting but got really enticed by this aura synergy
Some variant molten strike might be good because the ease of access to point blank and projectile clusters at the bottom. Smite also offers a huge damage bonus as well

I think the best use of this would be with squire for a 12-link wand or claw
Also vaal implicit levels to gems on victarios is really strong
And ofc you can use this setup for a minion build quite easily with your main weapon slot. Or you can support others as well. The only issue with this combination is that Link skills have a limited duration, so in order to make it permanent (Or at least able to last a map clear) you want to improve duration, this means ideally you want to spec into a damage over time build or a temporary minion build to get the most use out of those duration boosters. It means you can't play burst with this combination but otherwise should work out well.

i think we can easily reach 60k armor and evasion and 90 all ele res and we will have tons of free ele res from the auras this is massive. i am already playing molten strike champ in ssf i already have one victorio and gloves if i hit the +2 gem levels i am going to switch. i think since we have so much armor and max ele res we can also get acrobatics since spells are going to do so little damage so we can get 75 spell dodge. this might be able to tank everything under the sun

I'm currently using this setup as a aura and minion support guardian for my friends. I have just enough space to fit in twin curses, an animate guardian and support spectres at level 27, and all the mentioned auras. Gaurdian's ascendency gives me triple damage auras, while weaker than what they'd be like if i casted them directly, It's a small downside for making my friends neigh immortal while soul linked.
[+2 to all level of spell gems (minions and auras) and mana from the dark seer makes this build go nuts by the way]
Alternatively I have a 20-30 point respec to be a spectre carry gaurdian while linked to them. Unfortunately you have to despec the unwavering crusade otherwise you might link to the lil boys and explode with them. Surprisingly you do not die when linked to radiant crusader when he despawns. Fun times all around; Would recommend for the memes.
think I can make a charge stacker that scales both armor and eva with Perseverance. What weapon would I use tho? Rakiata's?
You could also socket smite into the chest and go to town haha (it works with generosity), amybe that would generate a huge amount of added lightning?
This could be pretty cool, maybe even replacing the banner in this setup and just use the aura flat dmg to enable another attack ability

The only thing stopping me from trying a build with this aura tech is that I'm trying to figure out how to make a build that is strong without auras so I can stack map mod effect without worrying about the reduce aura effect mod.
Maybe getting my defenses from auras, then just hard focusing on damage after is better though
manastackers are usually pretty powerful even without auras
from skill use, some sort of minion makes sence. you want a immortal minion (HC) fat type to make link to. so scaling life of minions is good.so spectre or golem or maby AG, i would say spectres maby best option. arakalis fang also comes to my mind
A cautionary note is with "62% increased effect of explicit modifiers on atlas tree" and getting the 60% reduced aura effect as map mod, max 86% goes to 81%.
On a similar note i had some issues getting 60% reduced recovery scaled to over 100% reduced things did not work the same a map that has no recovery or maybe the wording on the two is different?
@@zeltathewolf8844 Are you referring to the "Players have 60% less Recovery Rate of Life and Energy Shield"? With 62% increased effect, this become 97% so you can basically think of it as no regen afaik.

I've been trying to make an aura stacker build with these, but aura stacker is just too expensive to be decent, at least with my build making skills. I'm interested about what you came up with, will see if that makes my char work.
For the bug, it's actually a very old one, works the same way with "players have 100% less aoe".
Basically if your skill affect no one, then it affects you. so hands makes it only affect you and link, gene only others. so both together you affect no one (if you have no link) so it affects you.
Because this has been in the game for so long, maybe it's hard to fix, or maybe they want to leave it.
I'd be okay with them leaving it, I actually don't think it's OP or anything, sacrificing you glove slot and potentially body armour slot too is a tradeoff

Must be a bug, as Supreme Ego keystone also says "Auras from your skills can only affect you" unless the gloves being gear and not a passive node makes all the difference here
Wording is also different between the two, but yes I do think it's a bug, but it will probably survive the league
They might change it, but I wouldn't call this interaction a bug. Wording is extremely important, the single word on Supreme Ego that says "can" is why that doesn't work whereas on the gloves it doesn't have that stipulation.
Would Ichimonji Corsair Sword overwrite this iteraction?

I think it's abundantly clear the reason why people don't use link skills is because they can't be used on a minion to be successful. If they were good enough to accomplish the goal with a minion then they could be valuable for party play.
Captainlance is actually currently doing exactly that with crit spectres using destructive link.
They also don't last long
Can also go iron reflexes to get close to 100k armour
I talked about IR in the video, this setup is 130k armour with IR without any additional scaling. Should be fairly easy to push several hundred thousand armour

The tree is way too inefficient. Probably because you want to fit as much auras as possible.
It’s probably better to get a corrupted pragmatism with 2 sockets, so you get +10 on 2 auras. That is roughly the same as this chest, except that the benefit is multiplicative, not additive, with aura effect from the ascendancy and tree. This way you can just pop in grace and determination and then actually focus on % increased armor in the tree
I think the max resistance from purities is far more important than arm/eva, you can push those stats a lot more trivially
I'm not convinced this tech is usable on aurastackers... Gems space is really tight on this style of builds and dropping spark gloves is a massive downside because you'd have to add two extra support gems into your build and run a 6L in your chest. This also makes victarios unusable. You can try and fit 2 or 3 woke generosities into your build, but because of gems space issues you'd need corruptions on your shield and call of the brotherhoods that give you auras. These auras wouldn't be able to be supported by generosity. Additionally you'd have to go EO on your build because crit is "solved" by spark gloves and you wouldn't be able to fit in crit support gems because you'd need: 1) spark/your main skill 2) woke spell echo 3) inspiration (mana cost is a troublesome) 4 faster proj (not any other great places to get this) 5) cold pen (no other places to get this either) 6) TBD (cant use two crit gems here) likely awakened controlled destruction.
I'll fart around on PoB with this idea, but its already possible to build 3.5x aura effect on aurastackers without generosity. Getting to 4.0 would be amazing but it would have too much of an opportunity cost to.
Aurabots might have a better time with this. Largers parties most likely can't used this tech due to map layout issues (Link skills don't like walls) as well as turboing out and losing a 20 second link duration in 2 seconds. Also keeping everyone linked 100% of the time is damn near impossible. Lastly soul link is too good to not use and it would take way more money that its worth to get your aurabot able to have the es and es recovery to use soul link (for those who don't know soul link can provide close to 50% dr from hits, managuardians normally run this because they can get 15k es and Aegis with 400k armour).
You also would lose Ceinture of Benevolence and Harmony of Purpose in the party. The belt slot is way more important than people think it is for an aurabot. You have to have 30% increased flask effect duration or tides of time. In either case dropping those belts would mean you either a) have to spend more opportunity cost to sustain your Coruscating Elixir or b) have to drop the 15% aura effect from the champion ascendancy node in ascendant. Either way you lose something big with no work arounds or expensive ones.
The only application I see right away is for duo aurabots. Which would make them both way cheaper to reach 90% res, and also able to build over 4.0 generic aura effect in a high budgets. This makes it likely able to reach 5.0 hatred effect... Duo aurabots don't typically use a link because they are more focused on hatred effect. Which means there little opportunity cost to having to run a worse link than soul link. The 2 weird parts of using Hands of Phrecia would be focusing on keeping your link active 100% of the time, and dropping the gloves you were using before.
Dropping vaal caress is a massive downside because you lose 4 level 27 to 31 auras. Those being: Discipline, Haste, Grace, and Rejuv totem. Some aurabots use Shaper's Touch for the massive amount of es and evasion it can provide when you're attribute stacking with Mask of the Tribunal. In the long run, 40% aura effect as well as the benefit from Generosity support would be better. However this is only because the wonkiness of having to use a link on the aurabot wouldn't be as big of a down side with only 2 or 3 people in the party.
You also would have to consider how to sustain the link skill on no regen maps. Considering the current meta of juiced maps for parties, you need to build the comp to have every map mod be "runnable" which would most likely mean adding a mana flask for those maps specifically.
You may have the occasional solo build that can make use out of this but its probably not gonna be fully committed to aurastacking.
Champion is an interesting choice... Its more of the hardcore option for aurastackers and aurabots. Its about the 4th best ascendancy for softcore. I don't think the free banner skills reservation is as good as you claim it is. In the long run banner skills only reserve 3% of your mana, if that. This may save you 30 mana, which doesn't help you reserve much else. I think you'd be better off with guardian, necromancer, or ascendant.
Sorry for writing a book, I find this part of the game very interesting so I have a lot to say about it.
This video is a really good show case, its a very interesting tech. It will take much more theory crafting to see if its efficient or not. In some ways this tech can introduce more problems with your build as I outlined before. Just depends on what ways those new problems can be solved.

I feel like you missed the most important line of the gloves: "Non-curse Auras from your skills only apply to YOU (and linked targets)". The "linked targets" part of this text is not relevant at all for this build concept. The point is you can support your auras with generosity (inc aura effect) and through the gloves the auras still affect you. No need to use any link skills.
