Now, in its third generation, Porsche has had time to hone the Cayenne even further, and the middle-child Cayenne S is an excellent representation of the German automaker's ability to make a family vehicle fun. It might go a little too hard in the paint at times, but on the whole, the latest iteration of Cayenne is handily the automaker's best.
The third-generation Cayenne S is mighty sleek, bringing its look closer in line with other new P-cars like the refreshed Macan and the 992-generation 911.
Every four-door S model Porsche makes wields the same engine: a 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V6. In the Cayenne S, it's good for 434 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. I'm a big fan of this engine, as there's plenty of available torque at lower rpms and it has no problem screaming its way to redline over and over. Well, it doesn't really scream -- it's actually on the quiet side -- but that's nothing Porsche's optional sports exhaust can't remedy, for a price.

you must not watch a lot of reviews, bad acting, same old mantra "porsche options cost a lot" and not a whole lot else.
Rhyme905 uh...I watch every day...several times per day. And when reviewing the same cars, it should be easy to understand similar findings.
But, he makes a great point about the “under the radar” styling. He also goes into pretty good detail about the carbon ceramic coated brakes- how they work, and perform. And I think that it’s the first time I’ve seen anyone really test them on the cayenne. Also, most reviewers test loaded versions, but he is testing a pretty sparsely equipped Cayenne S at $98k, a Cayenne S which can easily option out at nearly $120k.
Cayenne reminds me of Weathertech, good quality and way expensive, nice to have yet there are other choices.

This is a poor excuse of an SUV with a lack of many basic features. If they started it at $60,000 then it would be a fairer choice.
