if you can't make an income without tiktok, you don't have a business, you are an employee of tiktok
So glad I never got TikTok
me too
"How would a TikTok ban could mean for influencers and businesses"? FOR THE BEST!
Imagine all these children, addicted, out and playing with other IRL!!! That would be great!
When are we banning it in Canada
The Zionist lobby in the States dictates to Canada's policy. The ADL- " we have a tik tok problem"
Yes, please.
Get rid of the Chinese spyware
Canada can't take the lead on anything... pierre for PM 👍
Still waiting for that.
Influencers would then have to get a real job. Boo Hoo.
I'm totally ok with the deletion of 'influencers'. We've lived for millennia without social media of any kind and we were just fine. Influencers and social media for individual brands will hardly be missed by most.

@@carmenlajoie2719 If you don't think there is psy-op content being pumped on Tik Tok you are naïve. Why do you think the Tik Tok as we know it in the West has always been banned in China?
@@carmenlajoie2719 That's false, because CCP family members lives across the rest of the planet instead of staying put in that hell hole.
@@carmenlajoie2719 If you have a lot of weird lawmakers pushing weird rules, and foreign interference in mostly everything competitive, then it's because of immigration to blame for exposing society's vulnerabilities.

Because they can't ban The truth on tiktok
If you don't think there is psy-op content being pumped on Tik Tok you are naïve. Why do you think the Tik Tok as we know it in the West has always been banned in China?
Fair. But the amount of garbage exposed to children on tik tok isn’t right.
Tiktok doesn't promote telling the truth though, it's algorithm is designed to spread negativity and negativity alone as it generates the most hype and response in users.
The Chinese variant runs on a opposite algorithm which censors and only shows positivity.
Its literally just spyware....
@@MystxVii That's TEMU. Tiktok is just brainrot, but there could be spying applications due to account and app installations.
Tiktok hasn't been around for that long. They will simply go back to what they were using before. What's the big deal? I think TikTok is pretty vile most of the time as it doesn't seem to have much in the way of safeguards or rules. I've never used it personally and never seen the need to. I am not subscribed to it.
you are too old to be using the internet, grandpa
@@dezh81guy93never mind sweetie. One day you'll be a big boy and be able to discuss things properly with the adults in the room and not sound like a 12yr old.😊
I am not a fan of TikTok and I’ve never used it but from what I know, they don’t censor like FB, IG, which is why they want it gone, to censor speech and videos they don’t want people seeing.
The excuse is that it’s a national security issue.
@@dezh81guy93
Ahahaha.
Silly.
@@dezh81guy93this is another ccp bot, here we go
Good move. Banned against drugs is also have financial impact to drug dealers. What a logical fallacy
there are alot of products being sold by scammers any how sad it will be bad for legit business owners...they should promote their products on many platforms
Let me guess, it means they can't use Tik Tok anymore, segment finished.
Oh no what a tragedy.
It means no more Chinese spyware and thats that
Throw them out ,why give them a chance to sell or hide their stuff better ?
Why ?
Businesses will advertise on other platforms and the loss of influencers wouldn't be a bad thing.
Imagine how many fewer people will be jumping on top of trains with this ban?
Except in India, of course.
What CTV didn't axe this show? Seems like they escaped the cuts this time, but Bell Media has more surprises in its tool bag, looking ahead the MMS is in for some major upheavals and one can expect the unexpected.
Oh wow ikea cuts price on 800 items, gimme a break
Ban facebook
Values vs profit.
We've seen this before, their userbase will just migrate elsewhere.
It happened with Tumblr. It happened with MySpace. It happened with Vine. It'll be the same for TikTok (the brainrot will continue)
You just disproved your own point. NOTHING has truly ever replaced tumblr. Literally nothing else scratches the same itch.
But when they migrate they lose their brand power in the new platform, hence become less relevant unless said platform is massively promoted by Chinese advertisers.
In case anyone didn't know, Singapore has a majority population of Chinese ethnicity.
I am ashammed to be Canadian
Oh the horror. The "Influencers" will have to go out and get real jobs. How will they survive.
I get too distracted with the app, ban it
In Canada I don’t think so
Nah.
We’d only ban healthy things that expand the brain.
Tick tock helps us to be more… ooh, cake. What was I talking about?
Oh yeah, stay out of my beer.
Good 💯
Can't say id really care if tok just up and disappeared. Just click... hold... delete.
Will there be a plausible legal case against the law?

How about instead of TikTok let’s ban Facebook who uses that old people 😂
You have to be out of your mind to tell Canadians that people who are making a gain of over $250,000 are suffering because above that amount they might be taxed at a higher tax rate on their investment (NOT PRINCIPLE RESIDENCE) property.
Millions of the world's tiniest violins are playing simultaneously. Moreover MDs are having issues more often than not as their billing limit is such that after they've finished paying out their staff and rent on their practices, they're basically only upper middle income earners, while still having in many cases to pay back a hundred thousand or more on loans. Fix that, and you'll go along way to fixing the doctor shortage.
Spinning a higher tax on the rich that is meant to redistribute wealth to the poor and middle class as some unfair burden to the wealthy is ludicrous.
You dont understand. Rich people, it meams those who owns co onies and make milkions on capital gains they will simpky put the burden on their customers that means us. Nevertheless not everybody that make more of 25ok gaons is rich. You coul sell your house, apartememt , etc.
Also rich people will movw their money to others countries which is dangerous really dangerous for a weak economy right now like canadian one.
@@lonccoccala6861 No as I've already said selling 'your house' is exempt from capital gains. There are no capital gains on your principal residence, only your second investment property - and if you're already making a gain of $250k on your second property when you sell it (which would be taxed at 50% regardless under current and prior rules) I don't feel bad when the profit you're making over $250k is taxed at a higher rate.
I can barely afford rent for fuck's sakes.

Dear MSM and government,
See below comments and realize that the critical thinking populace knows what TikTok is.
Danielle Smith: Catherine Elizabeth Charlesworth says Hi. Are you thinking about me?
I hope it does get banned, sick of the insufferable idiots that do stupid pranks to get likes.
i feel like it wont change much as irl streamers are being popularized like that 13 year old kid on KICK harassing people and being a headache on society
We're all going to cash in big while your influencers have to work at Wendy's.
What is freedom of speech in USA, ban tiktok? What a bully of their action?
As if the USA doesnt use spyware 😅 resd the terms of agreements when installing your aps
#GetAJob
🙄
So now they can get a real job now to contribute to society? Maybe that's wishful thinking
Seems everyone today is looking for an easy way to get ahead, well in the meantime if we cease to produce goods and necessary services the economy will sink link the Titanic, it already is severely underwater, sorry about the pun.
You think taking away tiktok will make them contribute to society? 😂😂😂
I think u got it backwards.

This is great. We get TikTok banned, and Joe takes the policital fallout.
What it means is less brainrot. And what will happen instead is all the 'content creators' there will either create a new platform to spread brainrot, or take over youtube shorts.
Sunny ways 😂😂😂.
Who F@#$ing cares? TRUMP 2024!
Get a real job? Just like the rest of us?

She says in one breath “influencers and businesses have made a brand” and then in another breath that “the brand may not get the attention they hope for on another platform.” It’s not a “brand” then, the subscribers were there for TIKTOK.

What a ban could mean for influencers?
It would mean they have to get real jobs and contribute to society 😆
Most Doctors use their practice as a retirement fund so when they retire they sell to another GP, with the capital gains law. Most will just shut up shop, 1 in 3 in BC dont have a doc now, This is another Justin has no idea law
Good, now they will have to get a "real" job!!
It means they will have to get real jobs. Boohoo.
Today's "problems" are nothing but a joke...... Get a real job, problem solved.
Good. Get a real job
I hope it gets banned! Where are all the pro TikTok users' comments? They're too afraid to comment. Lmao
If it gets rid of the useless people called influencers great, ban it.
Tik Tok time is up
Jesus is coming soon
Meh, they can get real jobs mouhahaha enjoy selling clothes at Penningtons
Influencers would have to get a real job!!!!
If this ban comes to Canada I’ll pack up and leave
Straight up?
That’s interesting.
What is your take on the palm for anti-cyber bullying?

"Influencers"...... never should have been a thing. Period.
It means they’ll have to get real jobs
