@@J_C_CH Sekiro is set in the 16th century (1500-1599), not the 1600s. Just a few years off, but it is definitly still considered as feudal japan until exactly 1600.

@@J_C_CH Source? I read the exact opposite. It's the closing years of the sengoku period, which lasts until exactly 1600. I even checked before writing the comment in case i remembered something wrong. Also it's called feudal japan because feudal warlords fought for supremacy, which stopped in 1600 when japan was unified for over 200 years.
The lore of Sekiro certainely fits more into the feudal setting, don't you think?

The game is officially described as being set in the 17th century *following* the Sengoku period, not *during* the closing years, albeit an alternate fantasy-esque 17th century. That's all I will say and you'll just have to trust me, because I have other shit to do.

The instrumental section in the middle fits perfectly with the Japanese fantasy setting of the game and is the part of the song that I think everybody loves the most.

This rendition also works great for Bloodborne as well.
I imagine it may during boss fights in the heat of the moment, but I wouldn't say it fits well with the genre. This version I think was designed with a distinctly Asian feel to it, like you can hear the instruments invoke feudal Japan in the song.

But if they do a Bloodborne sequel sometime they should do a orchestral/folkish rendition of Bad Moon for the trailer.
