To play tighter pre-flop in PLO - I've played avg. 50 % VPIP in 6max and I'm a consistent winner and i hate it....that I haven't had the discipline to tighten up pre-flop jet - but now it's time

Playing more so variance doesn't kill me so much! Number one thing you've taught me. Use Less Emotions! Its math. Being emotional is exhausting. Don't fall in love with your QQ when the tightest person at the table 5bets over you and 3 other players when he hasn't played a pot in hrs. He Has AA. If you can see past these moments, it takes less energy allowing you to play longer days or more frequently. The human mind takes things to harshly sometimes. Learn to let go. The people that can will succeed.

The comment about playing nights and weekends was probably the best poker advice I was ever given. I was going to play at noon today but spent the day studying poker and heading out now to start playing around 7:30 pm. So grateful I watched this video🙏

I used to play for a living, but the life wasn't for me. Now I work full time and only play on the weekends. I've built up a decent roll many times by simply putting aside a buy-in every week, battling the weekend warriors. When playing, always keep your poker money separate from your life money. Only 'cash out' if you want to take a break for a bit. I've never considered myself an incredible player, but I've been able to maintain a 10bb+/hr winrate for over a decade through proper BM, keeping up with current strategies and avoiding tilt.

Btw 10bb/hr in 6tables should be like 2bb/100
While 10bb/hr in a single table should be something like 13bb/100.

Jonathan, love your content. Your comments on PLO are very much misguided, with all do respect. It's an excellent format for all types of players to learn. The games are great. Edges are always low against competent players in poker. Are there big edges in 10k buy-in tournaments? With the exception of the occasional rec, of course not. PLO is a slow game? I'm only one person, but that hasn't been my experience. There are enormous edges to be had in games up to 10-10. Once you get up to 25-25, then like in all forms of poker, the games get tougher but are still very much beatable.

Its very possible, it just need hard work just like anything else that is done professionally. It takes a lot of effort, and probably the hardest part is, if someone wouldnt love the game its impossible to play eventually. Every time you meet a downer period, only consistency , good mindset and love for the game will help prevail, if not that ... its easy to just stop. Rake in cash micros is high, but with proper play there also can get pretty high winrates, because people just overall have no idea what they are doing. But its still hard , its hard because even then it takes a lot , ton of time’, to build it all and prevail.
