The thing about Gary Moore is that he had more heart than the metal players and more technique than the blues players and that's what made him so blisteringly soulful.

The fast notes are impressive and Gary really knew how to contrast the slow with the quick. But it’s those high bends where Gary really excels. This was one of George's last public performances (perhaps his last), & you can tell that he really enjoyed being on-stage with Gary. Gary Moore's song Empty rooms was something that inspired me to play along with others like Lynch ,DiMartini, Schon but for the soulful blues, bends and vibrato, hus phrasing over sad lyrics. Still got the blues, Empty rooms, One day and others. Gary touched so many guitarists.

Gary, Glen Hughes, Mark Lanegan, David Byron, Tommy Bolin. I'm truly surprised how many people have just began discovering Yes, Genesis and The Moody Blues. I'd always thought talent like that would never go unnoticed, it seems I was wrong.

But we turned this on, dimmed the lights and just went where the music took us. If we timed it just right one ir both if us would be gasping for air right about the time he hit the crescendo of that solo.
    That my friends was magical.

Love Gary Moore - sadly 12 years gone now. This is the title track from a studio album released in 1990, I believe.

I like that Gary Moore is still listened by young people. I am 42, but I had the chance to know my best friend dad, that introduced me in Gary Moore s music at age of 9. This song is so good, sensual and almost "erotic". I suggest you the early work, Empty Rooms, by mr. Moore. Rip, genious

RIP Gary Moore. GREAT Guitarist, GREAT singer - all genres!! He could rock as hard as any rocker, but he also had the blue chops to play with some of the greatest blues musicians ever.
Hard to believe never heard of Gary More. He was very good friends with Phil Lynott, and would fill and would fill in whenever Thin Lizzy needed a guitarist. Check out Thin Lizzy's studio version of "Still in Love with You". Gary Moore did the guitar work for that song. Gary Moore also collaborated with Phil Lynott for the rock hit "Out in the Fields"
If you like Irish folk music, Gary Moore collaborated with the Chieftains on "Over the Fields and Far Away"
Basically, you just opened a rabbit hole, for which you can spend the next year just reacting to Gary Moore. Arguably one of the top 2-3 guitarists of all time.

Thin Lizzy. I had the misfortune of having a drink with Gary in Spain the night he died. An amazing, truly extraordinary guitarist and exceptional person. For your channel … Thin Lizzy. And more Mr Moore

    My favourite guitarist ever.
Give Black Rose By Thin Lizzy a listen…. You won’t regret it …
I would also recommend Parisienne Walkways from the One Night In Dublin Thin Lizzy/Phil Lynott tribute gig…. The solo in that is incredible!….
