Steve Perry was unstoppable. He is the GOAT. He still sounded that good at the end of the show. His voice was still strong. Faithfully wasn’t written until 1983. Check out the Philadelphia 1983 or Tokyo 1983. Both are epic. Just keep reacting to their live performances. They are better live. Check out the rest of that Houston concert like Stone On Love, Mother Father, Who’s Crying Now.

Every one watches Angus, but Mal in the back shredding picks on the cables on the beast is the guy that keeps it all together, and is the reason they sound the same at a concert as they do on a album

Their personalities were locked in from the start. Ale = always so chill. Pau = a force of nature, can sing while drumming, and always has a bit of her own little groove going on as she bounces on the drum seat. Dany = so animated with power house vocals and, although she rarely does it, she CAN shred that thing. Perfect frontwoman for this band.

Coal Miner's Daughter is the story of Loretta Lynn's life, and also my mother's life. My mother was born in 1943, the youngest of 12 children. Her father also worked for the Van Lear coal mining company. As depicted in the movie of the same name, my mother's childhood home was in a Kentucky "holler" and it was a 2 story tarpaper shack, with gaps in the planking where snow blew in during winter. It's the story of my ancestors, the proud, hardworking Appalachian folks who don't know how to give up. You just keep going on, despite the circumstances.
