As a guitar teacher Joe taught both Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett, so not only is he amazing in his own right but he has taught 2 legendary guitarists. Joe plays Ibanez guitars!
"Made of tears" live. That performance will blow your mind......😊.
I absolutely second this request. Almost 20 albums worth of guitar genius at this point and it's hard to find a bad song. I've got a playlist of my favorites on my channel. Check them out!
Sky, you need to check out his songs "Surfing with the Alien", and "Flying in a Blue Dream".
Joe Satriani has had his own signature model from Ibanez since the late 80s and early 90s. The many iterations of the JS line. Yes, you should definitely go down the Joe Satriani rabbit hole! He has a very deep and diverse catalog. From melting your face to the most tender and beautiful melodic themes. You'll love it!!
Joe IS the master! Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett being 2 of his most famous students.
His songs don’t need words. Somehow, the song just always makes perfect sense to its title. Especially on a song like Cryin or Flying In A Blue Dream.
He’s also amazing in Chickenfoot with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith. Well worth checking out. Future Is the Past is a great place to start.
Live Satriani is basically EVERYWHERE! I don’t think I ever saw him without a guitar! He had his own tour called G3 with the best of the best guitar players and you can find the videos pretty easily on youtube.
Satriani is the best guitarist. He has a thing for Silver Surfer. You have probably heard Satch Boogie from his album Surfing With the Alien. It was a popular song in the 2000s. You must listen to Chords of Life, The Journey, Memories, Driving At Night...I could go on. It is rare that I skip any of his songs.
Hi Sky, Juan here, been listening to Joe since his first label release titled Not of this Earth. Joe used to play with bands like The Squares and Greg Kinh band. Joe has his own signature model through Ibanez which is based off the 540 Radius from Ibanez in the 80s. Shockwave Supernova live is just as Awesome. Joe does have different musicians that he plays with. He used to do a bunch of tours with Jonathan Mover on Drums and Stu Hamm on Bass. I have TONS more to share with you about Joe, he is one of my biggest guitar influences and met him a few times 🤘
Joe Satriani recommendations are
Surfing with the alien,
Always with me, always with you,
Big Bad Moon,
Flying in a blue dream,
Crush of love,
Down, down, down
Love thing
Saw him when he was 17 at a party in a fruit orchard in Sunnyvale,Ca.His band at the time was called Satchman. Sounded this great then.
Joe is also part of a Supergroup with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith called Chickenfoot czcams.com/video/VsPPxwPjFsg/video.htmlsi=IvbeDyEYL6Bsx07F
And they switched out Chad for Jason Bonham on drums to do a tribute tour for Van Halen 🤘
He’s got so many great songs there’s too many to mention. Try anything from the extremist album. Friends, summer song.
Absolutely
Joe has had his own signature line called JS..go figure, since 1990. It has been an ever evolving guitar line up to the present.
You MUST watch live performances. He's had many great band members who have recorded and toured with him throughout his career.
Hey Sky! Joe us one if the all-time great virtuoso players of Rock guitar. He and his old student (and fellow virtuoso) Steve Vai are going out on tour, soon. It's kind of expensive, but SUCH talent there! Rock on! 🤘😎👍
Awesome reaction
I remember years and YEARS ago hearing a song on the car radio... I immediately wanted to know who and what I was hearing! This man is superb. TO be honest, this is the first time I have heard THIS song (I saw Satriani, and immediately clicked in). Honestly, this is the least good song I've heard from him. If you like THIS, you really need to explore him more deeply. Whether you react or simply listen for your own pleasure... this is not the best Satriani out there! As to your reaction, I LOVE how enthusiastic you are, and how much you clearly enjoy doing your thing!
You really need to hear Surfing With The Alien if you like this.
Joe knows that Satriani is sometimes difficult to pronounce. He has gone by the nickname 'Satch' for a while. He basically blew up during the Early Eighties. My very favorite sound of his is 'Summer Song' but he has SO MUCH AMAZING STUFF! Way back when, I could not find the album that 'Summer Song' was on but I did get the next-best thing, a CD called 'Engines of Creation'. That's all of his music I have because I am a poor busted broke POS. lol :)
Joe's an Ibanez man to the bone
One of my favorites is Andalusia live from Saturation! Youre always gorgeous but Satch has been my #1 sinnce 95!
Don't know this one before. Think here he hide a lot of his guitar skill. Can try "nineteen heighty".
Probably him playing the drums as well.
U know? Iv never heard this one but yeah he's awesome..
OK.. Joe is awsome!! But there are other great guitarists. Joe plays Ibanez guitars. Listen (literally) to John 5. Another crazy good guitarist. The Werewolf of Wysteria - JUST CRAZZZZYYYYY what he does with a guitar.
Ibanez guitars
Is Ibanez an Italian brand? Spanish? Mexican? I don't think I ever heard where those guitars are made. I know Joe likes them for a reason, though. They just have that sound he loves.
. Japanese i think
@@clangiuy ? With 'Ibanez' for a name? I am not so sure. That sounds like a VERY Latin name to me.
I like seeing your beauty but I don't like the song
