One of few songs with Joe Satriani singing. Satriani, a guitar virtuoso who gave guitar lessons to Steve Vai, Alex Skolnick(Testament) and Kirk Hammett (Metallica)
I read somewhere, or saw an interview, where Joe Satriani was brought in to do backing vocals for an American remix/re-release of Crowded House's song "Don't Dream It's Over". Ultimately that version got scrapped and they went with the original sound mix.
@@gustonzimasheenhe did backing vocals on the album, just not that song.
Joe Satriani is an absolute beast on the guitar. I highly suggest more from him. Pretty much anything off Surfing with the Alien or Flying in a Blue Dream, or even The Enigmatic. Very unique player. And he’s still putting out music.
His "Surfing with the Alien" will always be my favorite of his 🤘
Asia, BJ… If you really want to see & HEAR Joe really cut loose, check out “Surfing with the Alien” (live version) or even “Satch Boogie” 🔥🎸🔥. On Surfing with the Alien, he does things with an electric guitar that I haven’t seen or heard others do or even attempt. The man is a BEAST on the electric guitar 👍😜🎸
Wife here.., The Guitar on this is Absolutely Stellar.."Tearing it up " and "Mean"..Awesome Reaction!!!🤘👍👍
This needs to be heard live.
there is a 1991 live version where Joe is joined on stage by Brian May
My favorite guitarist. I hope you guys react to some of his instrumental work, like Flying in a Blue Dream, Surfing With the Alien and Memories. Not sure what else of his you have reacted to, but keep on the journey, he's awesome.
This is a good one to watch live where Joe is singing, guitar slinging and playing the harmonica.
One of the all time great guitarists. This man was an amazing guitarist.
I love Satriani. Just saw him a few months ago. Awesome!!
He is in a band called “Chickenfoot” that consist of Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony from Van Halen and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. You should check out their song “Turnin left” for some off the chains guitar work.
6:26: Asia: "I got thirsty". Heck yeah this song will make you do that!
Check out Flying In A Blue Dream, Back To Shalla-Bal, The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing and The Phone Call.
The combination on Big Bad Moon of the guitar and the harmonica solo. Such a talented musician
I played the crap out of this CD "Flying in a blue dream"
Many of the songs you review i have been listning to 40 or more years. Like this one I think about 30. And yes it pumps you. I will see this guy in concert tn July.
Joe Satriani doesn't usually sing... he's a guitarist/ composer. But this is definitely showing his love for ZZ Top (He named his son ZZ Satriani - no kidding! 😁) ... He also did vocals for a ballad on this 1989 album - "I believe"... and another in 1993 - 'Crazy'... 🤘🤘
Satch is the man! He is so unique, gotta see him live! Never disappoints! Enjoy!!❤️
How do y’all not have more followers???
That ZZ TOP statement...Great Point..Yes..LA Grange..Awesome point
Love you both!!!
Check out Joe doing “Always With Me, Always With You”. One of his old classics, best if it’s a live video😉👍
Stellar guitar artist. This is a banger.
I watch this reaction every night when I come home from work. 🤘
Outstanding
Check out Rubina and Echo, both from the Time Machine live album.
Check out ZZ Top La Grange! That was the inspiration for this song, if I recall.
Awesome Mr Satriani 🤟
I like Asia & BJ... yall smooth 😎
You guys need to do a guitar instrumental only live stream.
Love you guys being interested to listen from rap and hip pop to the best guitar player 😊🎵😃🎶
Oh My God satriani is so awesome
Ahh...the SATCH!!!!
Great Guitar Player 🎸
Satriani is THE guitar God!!!
Now scroll down to The Forgotton part 2
Awesome guitarist
We agree!
If you like blues...you'll really like Blues Hammer, they're so great....
Joe only sings on a few songs. Check out The Phone Call.
Its too much!!! I feel like the kids at the enchantment under the sea dance in back to the future movie. Im just not ready.
Tune 😎
Love me some good production. Big. Bad. Moon.
Summer song 🎵
He's the guitar god
guitar god, full blast, top off the jeep, like being in a parade
Yes!!! ZZ top! Not my band at all. But you 2 are beautiful!! I love your channel.
Thank you so much!!
Satch is one of the GOAT.
This is my drive way too fast song
If you like this, check out "The phone call. " You won't be sorry.
D'OH! I wrote my first comment before BJ called it out. Sorry!
That's ok :)
Yeah ! The master joe satriani !
A bada** song that's always been kinda looked over and ignored...damn shame too.
Are people really tipping? For what? 🤔
Joe was OK. But, Steve vai was king!!!!
Joe gave guitar lessons to Steve Vai.
Joe was MUCH better than "OK".
Lol, Steve Vai is the Walmart Satriani… Satch was his teacher 🤦🏾♂️
This dude is not my favorite at all but the guitar rocks!
You guys should try Joe Satriani - God Is Crying Live in Montreal it's killer trust me
