    Great honest review! Very interesting results, just sucks to feel like your time/money was for nothing. At least it wasn't expensive.. I've always thought Can-am clutching was pretty spot on from the factory.. Haven't rode the 570 though

      My top speed is 68 from the factory. I would like to get it a tad bit faster .. Thanks for the video

      Here's my 2 cents as I went through the same: If all you do is high speed trails and cruising the stock clutching can't be beat. The tan spring slightly raises engagement rpm which makes it feel a touch more snappy down low - but really doesn't do much else. If you are willing to give up some of the high speed acceleration I added an EPI Silver secondary spring and it woke the bike right up in combination with the tan spring - much more snappy low and mid but lost top end. Clutching with the stock set up is generally a game of trade-off - you really only get all around improvement if you go aftermarket clutches. Also realize that stock tire size the speedo reads a bit high - 27" or so tire will read almost bang on true speed and there is a speed limiter at around 71mph so no matter what it won't go faster than that indicated speed - unless you get the ECU tuned which I ended up doing - 9000rpm rev limit, different fan on temperatures, premium fuel map and no speed limit. Now does about 75mph power and clutching limited. I should note this is a 2017 Outlander but same same everything mechanical.

    Great Video. Still Waiting For My 570. Hope To Hear Some Good News Soon. I Had The Dalton Spring recommended to me but after seeing this might just stick with the stock spring.

      @@OdysseyOffroad I commented that I wanted the link but then found it, while watching the video and right away deleted it lol, I built a 21' 570max Outlander to race it in hare scrambles here in FL we call it the Limo because it's a 2seater, but I put full exhaust with BIG GUN, Griffin cams,93oct tune from BNR and full RC2 FOX Factory suspension, yes a lot of $$ but the thing rips lol, my last thing is looking for to have even more low end for faster start against all the 1000's I'll be competing with, It's something new to me as I race dirtbikes I just want to be the underdog Lil 570 that could 😆 I'm working on a short video of my built and the outcome 😉

      @@OdysseyOffroad extremely, like I launched it off like 3ft in the air like nothing and it landed very smoothly once I set the sag and the clickers,and it turns like a sports quad, very little roll like when factory old-school shocks, I'll link the vid here, Like I said it's gonna be very short, and I forgot to capture when I put the cams and the headers🤦🏾but did for the exhaust and the jump, and just pictures of the suspension and the quad itself

    I got the Dalton DBO500 Clutch kit for my 09 Renegade 500 and i mainly got because i switched from the stock 25 inch tires to 27s and im running only the secondary spring and the Dalton primary spacer and it brung my 500 back to life like i had the stock tires on so i noticed a difference but thats probably because i went up in tire size but if you want to notice a difference in power you need to get the CVtech Primary clutch than you'll notice a big difference but i hope everything works out for you buddy

      Was there a reason for not installing the Dalton primary spring?

  • @powersportsenthusiast1986

    yes, but how did it effect the performance with partial throttle openings? from the video it seemed you just tested it under full throttle. maybe it wouldnt of made a difference in that case either, but curious

    • @OdysseyOffroad
      @OdysseyOffroad  Před 2 lety

      There was no difference. Partial or full. The spring is supposed to increase take off(clutch engagement) it didn't.
