Guti was a Spanish player for Real Madrid between 1995-2010, he's remembered as an underrated, iconic, and elegant player in the 2000s. Guti's lived his best moments as a starter before and after the Galacticos era (1999-2002 and 2006-2008). Unfortunately, Guti never achieved his full potential, because of:
- lack of discipline;
- misunderstandings with coaches;
- and maybe most importantly: Madrid's lack of career planning for Guti and his development.
It's truly a shame, since Guti still displayed an absurd talent throughout his career, and helped Madrid win 3 Champions League, 2 UEFA supercup, and 5 La Liga titles (with 4 of them with him being a consistent starter: 2000-01, 2002-03, 2006-07, 2007-08)
