A great film. Saw it years ago and it stuck with me. Cool, original and exciting action. A must see.
I recorded this film (+ Eddie's comments) off of TCM the other night. I believe it was a TCM premiere - first-time showing. I am very excited to see it, which I will do very soon.
Man I saw two great noir films on the same day of this film being on noir alley which are challengers which a femme fatale tennis noir film staring zendaya and this take aim at the police van which i enjoyed watching this and eddie was right that actor look like a asian robert ryan but this was great noir film and even for noir film it was very much a action thriller like point blank, john wick, red corner or devil in a blue dress and run all night as well the fugitive from 1993 which are noir films that are action films for the years to come.. but great noir action thriller film now one of my favorite noir films while being japanese film..
I don't think you can really call Challengers film noir
@@asderc1 and also you can look up on google it will show up that challengers is a neo noir film..

Hello Noir Fan! I love what you do uploading these intros for these films from TCM. Film Noir is probably my favorite genre! I know your favorite is Force Of Evil, and you have extensive knowledge of all things Noir. I know this doesn't relate to this particular film, but this does relate to noir. If you've ever seen The Big Chill (1983), William Hurt and Tom Berenger's characters sit down and watch a black and white movie that seems to be a film noir or just crime drama where a character throws a man throws a glass door. After that, he calls the rest of the group(which seem to be gangsters) a bunch of fat heads. I'm moderately well-versed in film noirs of the 1940's and 1950's and crime films of the 1930's as well. But I can't pinpoint the actor in the middle of the frame. If I could, I might be able to figure out what movie this is. I thought for a time it might have been Jack Palance or Lee Marvin on account of being tall, but upon a closer view and sound of the voice, I don't think so. I think it might be Lawrence Tierney or Scott Brady, but I'm not so sure about that one either, and can't find a film of theirs with a scene like this. IMDb also lists the other movie watched by characters in the film, the 1950's monster movie, It Came From Beneath The Sea, but it doesn't have this one listed in it's featured connections. Please help, I've been trying to find this film for several years!

Sorry, I don't know where this clip is from. Looks, moves and sounds like Tierney, even delivers the line like him. BTW I wouldn't say I have an extensive knowledge of noir .. whatever I know is by osmosis, I don't have a disciplined approach. Good luck and I'll keep looking into this.
@NoirFan77 Thank you for helping! I've been all over Reddit with this unidentified movie clip, and the Lost Media groups have been doing their best, but this is proving to be quite a difficult find. I've tried for years and still can't pinpoint it. I went through Tierney's entire filmography, thinking it was him as well, and couldn't find it, unfortunately. It does look like Tierney, but some have said maybe it's Kevin McCarthy(of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers fame), but no film of his fits this criteria either. Maybe I'm overlooking something. Who knows.

@@azohundred1353 Don't think it's Kevin McCarthy. He had a much softer voice than Tierney & the actor in the clip. I'm really thinking Tierney. Good luck!

@NoirFan77 The search for this film has become a film noir in itself. I feel like finding the Maltese Falcon is easier at this point!😆 Well, hope we can find it!
