Something I've been doing lately to get some of my lower level characters leveled up fast: Sub Throné as a warrior (but make sure she has merchant talents too), Give her Boost start and Full power. On her first turn, pop her latent ability. On action 1, use an item so she is back up to 3 BP, and on action 2 use Aeber's reckoning. Boom, all enemies wiped out on the first turn. Works really well if you have a 2 or 3 low level characters that you need to get caught up. It can get pricey buying pomegranate leaves to do this, however (you can buy them for 1000 leaves a pop at the black market in Delsta flats during the evening).

Throné as a cleric is a throwback to Therion cleric one of his best combinations.
The "full power" support ability is what completely trivializes this game. Think about it for a moment and correct me if wrong as I doing by theory here. You can have every character learn it by using merchant and learning abilities until it unlocks to be slotted. You then slot it in and have Partitio paired with Castti in your formation along with 2 others you like. Give Partitio as much speed as possible so he goes first to give out his BP to Castti. Have Castti use her latent power to mix up the stuff to raise everyone's BP plus whatever else you want, then the other 2 characters can use max BP latent powers to destroy things. You can also just give Partitio the inventor sub and have him use catapult with full BP right on turn 1 for incredible damage lol. There's other ways to break the difficulty probably but this is just one of them. Also, SP will never be a factor if you have Castti's support ability to heal back 30% HP/SP at end of battle.
You're not wrong about the "full power" ability, it is pretty strong. But I think that are a lot o things that are far worse(?) in trivializing the game, like the "a step ahead" support ability from the inventor class, or the entirety of the armsmaster class. I won't get into details about it to not spoil it for anyone who reads this, but if you played the first game, believe me when I say they made the warmaster even more broken.
I had hikari and ochette with full power and the head start that gives an extra BP, then throne or themetos with head start, which counts as an extra turn at the start, fight at night with themetos and throne. By the time hikari and ochette get their first turn they can do full charge latent power vs debuffed enemies whilst being buffed themselves. Smashes through everything until late game
Full power is good for farming or for getting through fights fast but not all that strong for bosses as it just fills your latent gage and that can be done at a inn or by doing a few fights before a boss.
It's more QOL in my opinion
I'd rather have each member of the party have "one step ahead" and "bp boost". It basically gets you 3bp per character on turn 1 (not including the extra turn granted by "one step ahead").
That way you aren't using items in your grind AND by extension saving money. Using Agnea/Inventor with the ability that starts every battle with max talent gauge (full power), just smack every enemy on the field with the fully charged hammer. It SHOULD wipe out all the enemies.
It's easy, cheap, doesn't cost SP and it's fast to hit the field.
For some reason this whole time I figured Agneas latent power only effected buffs. I had no idea it would work on attacks as well, that changes everything!
I’m super happy to hear you praising Partitio! He’s a wonderful, western, overpowered bean that I’ve only removed from my team to do the minor intersection-adventures involving two characters. I’ve been using him as a Warrior to ramp damage with the support ability giving you bonus physical attack when you break a creature by using his Latent on turn 1 and Aggressive Slash with even more support by Throne melting enemy defense with her Latent. Is it the strongest combo I could be using? No. But it makes me proud of the Yellow Guy, and that’s what matters!
You say non reversible, but I've found Warrior Ochette VERY appealing.
Also, it may have just been incredible luck, but I was able to bewildering grace x4 and got two exp x 100 in the same boost with throné.

still not a big fan of thief, its def one of the weakest chars imo so far, the night time buff is prob the best thing she does tbh lol
i've had inventor on partitio which is really fun and agnea on apothecary, but i kinda dig your setup for them, will have to try it out
I always run team TOOT
auto buffs, auto debuffs, auto weakness reveal. no need to awkwardly use divines, latents or BP to spread all the good stuff around on full party and all enemies.
cuts down on all the inputs and animations you'd have to perform fight after fight
all direct attacks basically do 2x damage and Ochette is always around to capture any cait or octo spawn since you can't change party mid fight so she has to be their full time.
Throne is the main so hits 30-40 first to increase the quantity of leveled ambushes she can perform.
currently i'm abusing ochette summon monster: gigantes (basically it's king iguana from chapter 1)
run so well with a simple setup: partitio with "a step ahead" support skills, and then donate bp to ochette. turn 2 you obliterate all enemies :D
Only thing with throné rising up is she wouldn't get the 2 turns because when you rise after death the latent gauge empties, unless there is some support skill or piece of equipment I'm unaware of
Temenos + Scholar = Full break on turn one or two (depending on how much shield the enemy has)
I dont even know if i am midgame, or lategame woth how i am playing this. I explored everywhere and storywise, the furthest i have gotten is Throne chapter 3 before doing her chapter 2. Everone else is still on chapter one or two. I just beat the ivory ravine boss with Throne at lv 49 and everyone else on early 40s. It is a mess of a run but I love it.
Looks a lot like how i would play... I'd prob never kill a boss easely though cause i lack knowledge of tactics 😂

Think this team would carry through bosses until reaching the point where all jobs are unlocked? Or just a grind team? I'm sorta mid-game... at chapter 2 with some and chapter 4 with others, but these chapter 4 bosses are a little rough.
Hikari seems to be pretty OP so I probably need to get him on my A team asap.
For Throné I am finding a lot of value in making her a warrior. She becomes an exceptionally good boss killer if Partitio shares full BP to her because she can get nearly two full bursts out in one turn
It is very reasonable to do that and might even be super op. I've been doing that with Hikari though and the cleric divine ability to give him two turns each turn which has been pretty nuts
I like her as inventor because of how fast she is. Every random battle is a 1 tap from catapult, it's great. I like purplatypus' idea of using the double turn for cleric purposes, I didn't think of that, honestly.
I was rushing to get Patricio with Dancer sub just because that Bewilder Grace... It is, like, one of the easiest way to get free 10k or exp/JP early game lol.
Within an hour grinding I am flowing with around 200k money and like everyone is lvl 30+ already in my 6 hours game... Though it is still RNG based, havent got 100x multiplier exp/JP yet.
WhOa I thought bewildering grace just gave you two STAT buffs at random, like elem atk up, phys atk up. Never used it because I could choose the ones I want to use. I have been using Hikari, Partitio, Temenos, and it was Agnea but I wanted to level Throné up. I feel like I suck at min maxing lol
Agnea for JP farming is great with Merchant sub. I think Merchant is just such a great sub in general. I've become quite fond of Throné with Warrior and Merchant subs... can't decide which I like most.

I main Part with Armsmaster, He's a monster.
What would you use early on? I really like Oswald for his elemental spells and AoE but it looks like later on you get plenty of AoE that he isn't as necessary. Thoughts?
Osvald is pretty decent but eventually I think he isn't insane or anything as his unique abilities do not seem broken. He can easily carry you though the whole game though even if there are stronger characters
@@purplatypus7405 Even with his Advanced Magic spell that upgrades his spells to multi-hit? It takes away an entire turn and some BP to pump them up more levels so I'm not sure on it yet. But it is strong.
I just don't know who else is best suited to be the healer if not Temenos or Oswald.
@TheRealTyr4el I use throne for my heals but heals became very uneeded for me later on. I just kill enemies before needing to heal. Post game I'm not sure it will hold up though. Taking it one fight at a time for now
Nothing stronger than Agnea as inventor, full power and one step ahead. 3 BP coil to start every battle. Everyone had full health, full sp and 4 BP. Absolutely broken
I'm new to these sort of games, just watching many videos. It looks so beautiful and fun but i sick at gaming / tactics /... So not sure if i'll buy this. Tried the demo, on switch and pc. Loved it, but still scared it will be to difficult, and all these videos scare me even more haha. You all know every detail of the game to plan the best outcome. Can a noob like me dive in blind? And also, if you take a second job, can you switch later? Without the need of farming jp's again? Like agnea and merchant, but later switch to thief...?
It's difficult if you are underleveled but there are so many areas you can just keep exploring somewhere else and come back stronger later. I don't think it's too hard, if you're having fun in the demo then go for it. Part of the fun is figuring out things you like and making your own combinations.
This is a perfect entry point for JRPGs. There is depth and fun to be had with mechanics but overall is very easy if you take your time. Plus it has some of the best characters and story moments in an RPG. Very much worth the pick up
@@purplatypus7405 ok sweet. Thx. Can you switch freely between second jobs? I also felt obligated to talk and use paths on ALL npc's 😅 that's a lot of work. But it sure looks like a game where you can explore a lot. Now to choose between Switch or Pc... Comfort of my couch vs much better graphics 🤔

when do i change jobs sorry if this is the dumb question i assume i change after i max out their og job
You never change the base job. You will unlock secondary jobs by going to guilds and can change second jobs whenever you want
I know Partitio's latent power is strong but compared to Castti...it is inferior in every way imho
He can max out his own BP, Castti can give the whole party 4BP
Buff everyone, debuff everyone, cripple enemies with status effects, do any kind of healing, elemental dmg etc.
Being able to concoct anything for free is pretty nuts imo
I gave her a Scholar for now and she covers every element, is a magic dealer, healer and buffer in one and can still use her axe on top of that
Throné as a Cleric is nice tho, her double turn is great with it
Casti is probably the strongest character by a landslide due to concoct. However in terms of farming Partitio is usually better for my set up as he can full BP and kill the enemies with his first action where Casti needs to give other units BP with her action then someone else kills the enemy usually. However since this I now just use the Haste Hammer for everything

Informative, well structured and i can tell you really love this amazing game 👍
throne with inventor act first passive + apothecary hp/sp heal on victory just makes her the best at farming just about everything as her speed scales so well with equipment that it doesn't take long for you to hit 9999 damage even early.. Aeber reckoning is just as good as it was in o.t 1 if not better cuz of the new passives.
as for me? no body can beat Ochette when it come to farming.. as i can see you did too many turns to kill the entire enemy... why dont you try bring Ochette together with Particio this two character are crazy powerful they can wipe out all enemys in one turn. i already done that with the proper eqiupment an skills..
This was much earlier in the game and now any of my characters can pretty easily one attack kill all the adds in the game. Ochette is super powerful no doubt

Armsmaster's spear ability is the best way to farm honestly, use all JP/EXP/Leave boosting skillls and equipment and just run around high level areas spamming the spear ability of armsmaster and you'll finish the battle in a turn or two.
Have a dancer with the skill that lets you act first in battle, buff up your armsmaster then use spear ability and you'll finish fights even faster.
Ive tried all methods of farming, and so far my method is the fastest and simplest method
Step up + boost start Ochette, defend for first act on turn, max bp use any revenant capture
@@acemoran6354 ehh i prefer Armsmasters Spear attack, I don't use Ochette at all and I don't like capturing monsters. Much easier, simpler and faster to just buff up and then use the spear ability from Armsmaster.
I'm at a point where that will one hit even most random encounters even in high level areas, some encounters take two uses of the spear ability.
"Ah yes let me spend time wandering around an area for a specific monster to capture, then spend that fight weakening the monster so i can capture it, then let me go to a different area to find things to farm for exp/jp/leaves and then have to re-do all that once i cant use the monster again" relying on hunter for farming is just more time consuming and tedious, when you can just use alrond as a "summon" and then have a dancer buff up Hikari, and another character use the cait cake item for even further boosted exp/jp/etc. and then use armsmarters spear ability and beat the battle in a single turn and rake in tons of exp/leaves/jp
