ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Margot and I am a professional artist and graphic designer. My parents like to joke that I was born with a paintbrush in hand. I started my career after graduating from the renown Parsons School of Design in New York City and spent over 15 years creating and designing for many of the world's top Fortune 500 brands and companies. My painting journey started as a side project and a creative outlet for me to step away from the computer, go back to my "roots" in fine art and to hone my skills as an illustrator and painter. I started posting some of my work on instagram and the rest is history. My work is inspired by all the things that I am passionate about. Ballet, travel, graphic design, color and finding a world of beauty in all facets of everyday life. I hope you'll join me in this CZcams journey as I take you through all the tips, tricks and trade secrets I've gathered throughout the years. I hope I can teach you some of what I know, help you discover your creative voice and I hope you enjoy this Channel!

Happy birthday! Well deserved! I too treated myself to AGallo paints 2 years ago for my 60 th, but only got the 12 set and a few extra pans as I’m still learning watercolour and don’t want to waste such beautiful paints whilst I’m learning so have only got as far as swatching them …I need to just break them out and use them now as I’ll probably always be learning and how better to learn than use 100% cotton paper and beautiful paints. 😂🎉🎊🍾
Oh, you are going to love these! I splurged on them last year simply because I worked 45 years and now that I am retired I treat myself often. I will eagerly await your next video to see how you like them. Of course, it is impossible not to like them. And I am eager to see how you use them because I admire your work.
Hullo Margot, I found this company truly wonderful! I purchased a signature 12 set and they were super customer focused and let me substitute 2 of the colors as well as including 2 more colors so I have a set of 14 colors for my small metal palette. These are simply the best handmade commercial products from the paints to the lovely wood palettes that are topped off with beautiful brushes! I have enjoyed working with my selections from their line of paints. Now I purchased before they started including the new blue into sets but should I use them up I look forward to purchasing another set. I am looking forward to seeing you work with this extensive 48 color choices. This is truly an amazing birthday present for yourself, Happy Birthday to You!

I am so happy for you and so jealous! I started with 12 of their colors in a small set. And I've been adding to that collection one or two or three at a time. I now have 26 of their colors. I love how easily they wet and how beautiful the colors are. Copper Blue is one of my faves. And the packaging is incredible.🎉🤩😄
Happy Birthday 🎊 While I can’t justify purchasing these gorgeous watercolors just now at the beginning of my journey to learn the skills, I can and do appreciate your sharing your experience’s in opening your thoughtful gift. These appear to be what I dream of for my ultimate set of happy paint’s! I’m tickled to see how much you appreciated the marble sleeve and linen bag. The bags would be relatively easy to whip up and add to your packing. The marble process is something I fell in love with upon first creating it in high school…some 40+ yrs ago 🤭(yeah, probably old enough to be your mother…or at least your favorite aunt, hahaha!). Happy Birthday Margot and welcome to a lifelong love affair with these amazing paints. I started with the mixing palette and slowly added the Signature 1 set, then the Naturale 3, individual pans a bit at a time until I got my collection of around 50 paints. They are simply a joy to work with.
Those colors are succulent! Mouth-watering. Beautiful enough to bring tears to your eyes! Can't wait to see you swatch them; I expect the honey to make the smoothest application.

I feel like an idiot. I was in Assisi last spring and walked into the A. Gallo shop, not knowing who or what A. Gallo is until now. I’ve been painting for 3 years and never heard of them. But I did like the shop and marveled at the quality of the watercolor paints and brushes. I couldn’t decide if I should buy a set. I must have gone into that shop 3 times and my husband even asked if I wanted one of the sets for my birthday. Then I went to Rome and again, at Poggi (an art supply store), I saw A. Gallo. I thought again about it and of course, didn’t buy. Sigh.
I ordered the same palette as a belated birthday gift to myself along with the bamboo palette from the Ocean Paper. Happy birthday! 🎨 🖌️

I just ordered the Naturale 24 set for my birthday too! Can't wait for them to arrive and to make some beautiful art. I ordered them on the 28th and they should arrive on 9/5, quick turn around if you ask me. And already have an upgrade to my shipping for faster delivery. Of course, it's never fast enough! But that's great customer service without even having to ask.

Qor has always been my favorite brand because it really moves and plays well with others, so I'm now wondering if I'm missing out on something better haha. Please tell us when you swatch these how they compare to other high end brands. Thank you! Oh and that brush...you will probably like it a lot. I gravitate towards my quill brush because it's so versatile.

I have always loved my life no matter which up or down I experienced, but my 40's were extraordinarily wonder-filled. @@dees3179 It was simple, really. Right around my 40th Birthday, the saying, "Happiness is a choice" took root and just resonated. I thought it would be a lot more fun to learn with joy rather than through pain. So that's what I chose.
